    Thank you for the useful information. For constincency, product application should be in the same style spray bottles. Spectracide was applied in a different method and you may have gotten more product resulting in burning of the grass you did not want to burn.

      Thank you, if I recall correctly, I thought I calculated the recommended amount of product for the bottle of water according to the label spot spraying guidelines. Spectracide is already in a spot spray mixture. I probably should have clarified.

    I have zoysia and I use Empero (generic SedgeHammer) and Sedge Ender. My flower bed has about 95% less nutsedge this year because i treated it all last year. This year we've had more rain so it's appearing in the yard in new spots. Where it was in the yard last year is still nutsedge free so far. The Empero is working well with a surfactant with fertilizer.

    Really cool test. Not surprised by the Spectracide. I’ve had good results with it on nutsedge as well. I’ll take the damage to the Bermuda as long as it kills the weeds. It’ll heal back up. Great video as usual!

      Appreciate it, it was a fun test. All 4 products worked well. Sure wish the Hogs could have won. They better next week. :)

    Great job Sunny with the comparisons and results. Well done. I am hoping the Round Up works on my ProVista KBG like it states. Will know next season when any Nutsedge pops up by me. One thing I know is that Nexis granular product I tried last year didn't work at all.

      Thank you! Hope you have better luck with the Round Up. Hard part is killing it down to the roots and nutlets so they don’t pop back up next year.

    Great video… 👍🏻 i wouldn’t have thought sedge-hammer would be better than certainty. Both options are Great for sedges but wouldn’t have thought Sedgehammer would have come out on top. Wouldn’t have known without this video. Nicely done and keep up the great work. Lawn is looking great

    • @SunnyBermuda
      @SunnyBermuda  Год назад +3

      I would say they were both comparable. Sedgehammer gave a good visible result where Certainty just works and one day you realize the weed is gone.

    Thanks Sunny 🌞 I really enjoyed it thats how you take a hit for the Team. using the front lawn to experiment how to kill weeds. Great video sir 👍🏾

      My back surprisingly didn’t have any nutsedge. Thanks for watching! My season is about over. No rain has taken it out.

      Thanks! Yes, hoping one of these products will kill down to the nutlets and roots so it doesn’t come back.

    Thanks, great video!! I leave in DFW and it is hott!! 100 plus. I’ve got both sledgehammer and certainty. Hopefully it won’t damage the Bermuda with this heat. I usually have less then 3 spots of nutsedge in my yard but for some reason this year their popping up in about 9 places. Time to put them down😊

      Yes, same thing is happening to me here, too. Lots of nutsedge in front yard.

    I've had good luck with roundup for lawns to take out nutsedge in my Bermuda with little to no impact on the Bermuda.

    Interesting......I never had Weed Stop do that type of damage on my bermuda like you had.

      I sprayed my whole ditch with it last year that I mixed with concentrate and it didn't hit it this hard. Keep in mind, no irrigation and haven't had rain going on 2+ weeks doesn't help recovery at all.

      Yes, Certainty and Sedgehammer+ is safe for kbg. Not real sure about the others. Check the labels.

    Weedstop is too harsh. I like Image, it takes a while, but it works.

    • @SunnyBermuda
      @SunnyBermuda  Год назад +1

      Definitely, the 2-4-D is way to harsh in these temps.

      I add a Fertilizer scoop to my spray bottle mix- the Scott's super bloom I use for my potted plants and some in the beds. Helps recovery and uptake for me
