Thank you. Because of your joy and enthusiasm for rc crawlers i boughts my trx-4. And this was by far the best decision i made this whole year. Meet Crawler-People, go Crawling, get some fresh air and sun, watch your videos, work on the car...perfect.
I have used several of Boom Racing's products while building my SMT 10, and have been very impressed and pleased with the quality of everything I have used !
I recently scored some Probuild beadlocks for my SCX10.3, you are definitely right about the quality... Other than maybe cost (the joys of living in Canada, amiright?), I can't imagine a reason to run any other wheels on my rig at this point.
Wow these are impressive. I ordered aftermarket wheels for my trx4 sport kit last year, waited weeks for them to arrive then realized the included offset wouldn't work with the portals, so had to wait another few weeks for wider hub adapters to arrive.. These wheels would have been perfect
Fab video, quick question, which is the widest tyres (width) available for a 1/10 scale crawler, when compared to traxxas canyon trails? And then for those which would be the appropriate boom racing pro build wheel set ?
I've been waiting on these Dee. Just a little bit of past experience...you always want the front wider not the rear. You can steer the front through an obstacle not the rear...plus , if you're "comping" it's easier to get a narrower rear end through a gate than a fat one.
The problem with uneven offsets comes like as you said gates and when tire placement is critical you have to really know the truck to get the wider rear to track where you want it to.Like pulling a trailer a little bit
Great review & can't wait to see them. Pre-ordered a set from Asiatees (4 choices you mentioned) but wish they would have offered the full menu of options as on the Boom Racing web site, but that may come eventually.
Beeftubes has had an adjustable backspaced wheels out for almost a yr now. Also has brass pieces for extra weight. Beef hooves are the name of the wheels
Any suggestion on what hub to order I see you can get hub seats we custom building these anywhere from 1.5 mm all the way to more than 6 mm probably going to put them on a Capra
That is coming!! We couldn't afford it before and it wasn't in our crawler performance sweet spot. But we've done a few scalers now and that can rightfully join the squad.
Can someone please help sort something out, I have an axial 6x6 with the stock mw19 Beadlock tires and I have trx4 bronco canyon trail tires also. I’m wondering which I should seal/unvent for trails/water and which I should keep vented for max crawling and dry runs. I know nothing about beadlocks
What wheels do you recommend for the beach. I don't want to spend 100 then end up having to buy new hardware for the wheels because they started to rust on the 3rd day of vacation. Currently running Injoras we'll see how they hold up.
You are correct, @Chainsaw. In true comp crawling, you want the rear axle to be narrower than the front. Increases steering and makes passing through the gates at a comp easier. With the rear axle narrowed, you have more room between markers and allows transition between gates easier (sometimes :))
I'm not sure why everyone likes vanquish wheels, I just got my first set not long ago and it's the only wheel brand I've had that doesn't hold a tire. I guess they look nice. These look worth trying, I like the custom build thing they have, I checked out the site.
not familiar with official rules in the crawling world, but in big crawling competitions don't they have rules on standard measurements of offset of wheels and hubs?
MST did this on Drift wheels its adjustable offset depending on notch you set the face of wheel on. Nice review beats having to buy Hex and SLW Hubs to manage offsets.
Yes, all portal axles are problematic. But these have a massive inner cavity, like Vanquish. most beadlocks don't work since the deadlock ring is in the way.
Those are sweet! May have found my new wheels lol. Thanks for the review. Another company you might like is Team KNK wheels. I have a set on my gen 8 they are really nice quality aluminum and, easy to use. Aswell, they come with some options to widen them and, hub spacers.
Josh from vanquish is going to black ball you for saying the best wheels lol. Ya all good though I love boom racing they always done right for me and my crew

RC crawler doesn't look fun when you watch them but it's a lot more fun when you actually play
I have used several of Boom Racing's products while building my SMT 10, and have been very impressed and pleased with the quality of everything I have used !
Quality and attention to detail stood out. It's obvious they take pride in their work.
it would be nice if when you will present some pieces you could give them a closer look
I recently scored some Probuild beadlocks for my SCX10.3, you are definitely right about the quality... Other than maybe cost (the joys of living in Canada, amiright?), I can't imagine a reason to run any other wheels on my rig at this point.

U can also try their Hustler tires..value for money with dual stage foams included..
These are absolutely incredible I'm going to need them for my TRX 6 I'm really digging the flat black and bronze that you have
Very cool its on the list for the near future
good to hear.
Can you put 1.9 brass interal counterweight on the hex hub adopter??? Since it is 6 holes.. 🤔
Beeftubes has had an adjustable backspaced wheels out for almost a yr now. Also has brass pieces for extra weight. Beef hooves are the name of the wheels
They're also over double the price...
Ugggh. I just spent 100$ on beadlocks ... These look soo good . color and all. And the offset thing is a game changer
I know! Next time. Even the tools they supply are next level.
Any suggestion on what hub to order I see you can get hub seats we custom building these anywhere from 1.5 mm all the way to more than 6 mm probably going to put them on a Capra
How about the other wheels they offer like the Kraits?
Sleeping on boomracing. Should look into the bxr01. Thanks for this. Been waiting to see these wheels
That is coming!! We couldn't afford it before and it wasn't in our crawler performance sweet spot. But we've done a few scalers now and that can rightfully join the squad.
RC Review yeah! Its quite pricey. Glad you guys are doing good and can’t wait to see it on here.
Which color did you have on the beadlocks in the video(on the face plate)? was it Bronze?
Do you know if these will these clear the capra axles with aftermarket brass weights? Thanx
The inner wheel clearance is 45mm (1.771"). You can measure your weights and see if the diameter is smaller than the inner clearance.

How many beadlock screws on each wheel please?
If you make the rear slightly narrower than the front, it will give tighter steering. It's an old school rock crawler trick
Really cool to know.

Anyone know if the hub bolt pattern (xt6) is compatible with slw hubs?
I'm not sure why everyone likes vanquish wheels, I just got my first set not long ago and it's the only wheel brand I've had that doesn't hold a tire. I guess they look nice.

Which country is the anchor from?

Thanks for the info! Good concept.
Great video about beadlock rims. I myself still use the classic RC4WD :)
Great looking rim but does it fit on the new vanquish ultra I’ve been having trouble finding rims that fit
Yes, they will fit as far as I know. They fit the Capar and SCX10 III with room to spare and they have the biggest portals around.
RC Review but the larger axle size and funny hex shape fit up is my worry
Yes, all portal axles are problematic. But these have a massive inner cavity, like Vanquish.

Pre-order only. C'mon what a tease
Might have to check these out. They'd be cool on a drift car!
Oh for sure. That deep dish on a Skyline GTR would work.
you could be an instructor in the hobby Sir very easy to understand all your videos same way thank you
Some air fesh in the crawler theme 👏... Nice review 👍
So fresh! Cool to see innovation and manufacturing prowess merge.
Great job
Hey would love see another servo test based on 25-50 dollars
Just got mine today. I kept trying to screw the back ring in with everything else. I tried for an hour until I figured it out 😂😂😂
Remember to use the pilot screws, that is a big shortcut!
Man, I want a set not these but the ordering options on the website are overwhelming
There solid wheels 👌🏼🇬🇺
That's pretty cool
Gotta give props to innovation
I have a boom racing D90 chassis that's is awesome quality
Great to hear. It seems that is a serious company when it comes to quality.
To much negative offset should increase bearing wear. Cool adjustment ability just be careful
great call. More stress on faster vehicles as well.
Pretty damn innovative. 👍👍
innovative, slick and looks good. A rare combo.
Confusing?
Josh from vanquish is going to black ball you for saying the best wheels lol. Ya all good though I love boom racing they always done right for me and my crew
hee, he.. :) I meant the best wheel 'package' or sumptin. Love my bronze Vanquish. Just realized though they're $170 for four.
I have several sets of vanquish and they are great. I’ll see ya at linda vista soon👍🏼
You should try out the beeftubes.com wheels
At over double the price though... Spending almost the cost of a kit (Enduro) on just wheels seems a bit... Nutty.
A great wheel, can I get them in the uk. They look the absolute best wheel on the planet,😀
Yes, UK for sure. They specialize in shipping all over the world.
Cool review sent email again jimsienna I was also looking at gear head beadlocks thanks jim
385 million ROFL.. I paused and thinking WHAT, impossible.
This doesn’t apply to the video but can we get a bike check i know your mountain bike from your vids
Oh man, don't get me started. Dozens here at the house.
RC Review sick
NICE 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
This is rediculous these are exact same rims i got off amazon for 29 for all 4.
I call bs on that
You got the right to but others in the world that bought them about 5 months back thats what we paid, and mirror image
No to china
Hi does anyone know which beadlocks fit a Traxxas Slash?
