That’s for sure. It’s too bad that he lost his tooth. Otherwise for 60, Marty doesn’t look bad. I saw him a couple of times in 2019; he looked pretty good.

Good point about Vince telling Bret he wanted to void the 20 year contract before Survivor Series whereas he could have waited till after Survivor Series to tell him. Also, Marty better pay up on that bet, the WWF Hall of Fame (1996) was the event which featured the introduction of the fourth class to the WWE Hall of Fame. The event was produced by the WWF on November 16, 1996 from the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York. The event took place the same weekend as Survivor Series.

We use to joke when we were kids and starting realize who Vince was and we would say when Vince was in a pissed-off mood he fires Marty, then rehire him then fires him. He was on a month and off a month it seemed from93-96.

I wholeheartedly agree but Bret was caught in a hard place. The PPV was already promoted and Bischoff couldn't be trusted. So if you are Vince, you did what you had too. Furthermore, Canada was still a big deal to Bret according to the Paul Jay documentary which Bret himself committed to.
@Sim Singh I don't know about that. There is even the story of Taker being added. However, the PPV was already promoted as Bret vs Shawn and that was the money match. And as a promoter you tend to favour a singles match than a triple threat. Even at Mania 15 it was supposed to be Austin vs Rock vs Foley but it was changed because while it would have made sense it just never felt right. Shamrock, Taker would make sense but it wouldn't have felt as quite right. Furthermore, I don't think Brey would be happy dropping the belt in Montreal to anyone. He has said on many times that the Canadian hero was meant to win.

@@Therealgeoffchilds Did you watch the Paul ajay documentary and read his book? Bret refused to drop to Shawn for two reasons 1) Shawn's disrespect when he refused to put Bret over and 2) it was in Canada. Canada was a big sway for Bret. He said the Canadian hero needs to win at Canada.

Well Marty surely proved why he never made it into a singing career. I agree that he has a killer sense of humor yet he tends to make self deprecating remarks. I’ve told him that he has that sense of humor and that he might want to consider comedy.

Bret created Mr. McMahon and Stonecold. In reality they should have screwed Bret on Raw and kept him happy and the business wouldn't be in the toilet like it is today. Bret Hart had the best eye for talent and how to create them. HHH and Shawn suck majorly in that department.

Damn. Marty needs to look around for a dentist. I got hit by a metal basebal bat in a botched robbery attempt at my house about 8 months ago. I got 5 teeth knocked out and had to get them put back in I got all 5 teeth put back in 1 day, and it was probably a 4/10 in pain for only about 2 days. They had a little metal thing placed down into my gumbs, and then a tooth which was screwed onto the little piece of metal already installed in the gum. A little over $1400 total for all 5. Have a 20 year guarantee for them. Don't have to worry about dentures or anything like that.
So are they fake teeth or the five teeth that were actually knocked out? That seems mighty cheap for five implants.

I would side with Bret, Bret was disrespected by Shawn and had agreed to vacate the title the following night on Raw. Bret wanted to say good bye to the fans and part on good terms

Marty was my preferred wrestler compared to shawn michaels. After wathcing these Marty interviews. I can say I like shawn much more and SM deserves more than Marty

I’ve met both Shawn and Marty on separate occasions. I didn’t really get to see Marty during his wrestling years. Personality wise, I would go with Marty. Yes if you’re of the female species, unless you’re looking for a [expletive deleted], you might have to tell him, “Hey I’m not into that” but for the most part, Marty is very personable, genuine and funny. Also I believe that, from having spoken with him, he has the best of intentions and has a good heart. None of the above characteristics that I mentioned can I say apply to Shawn. Of all the wrestlers that I met, Shawn made me feel like I was walking on eggshells-like anything I said or did would set him off. I’m speaking from my experience.

I think that’s over and done with. Apparently that was a “work,” supposedly that is, according to Marty. It was this work he did with someone else. I think he should have been reminded that when the current WWE wrestlers do works through social media, they’re doing them under the WWE’s supervision. That’s why you’d see their name and WWE. Because Marty is no longer under contract with WWE, that was probably why his Facebook post went viral.
