+#Tabo i guess if you can find a similar kind of noodle like in the video, you could use it. But remember the texture of the noodles have to be chewy. Bit if you buy the one in the video, the packages for the broth will also be included.
I live in of the Korean Neighbourhoods in Toronto and had this soup one hot summer day. It was so tasty and it cooled me down for the next few hours. I just found this site and have been binge watching. So many great recipes from a great cook. Thank you Maanchi.
It's over 100 F in Los Angeles today we just got this from the food court at the korean market where they make their own noodles. It was perfect on this hot hot day.
This should be the galactic guide to really tasty-delicious korean food, recorded on a gold disk and sent drifting into the universe. That way Maangchi will get thousands of trillions of subscribers, a truly multi-cutural and multi-ethnic audience . I heard someone on Dagobah would surely love this. Strong with the cooking this is, yes, yes!
I am so lucky my mom is good as Maangchi at cooking and all my mom's friends are all Maangchi style ladies. My mom would bury (to ferment) the kimchi in a traditional ceramic from November to March. I dug holes in my backyard for her.
I put a lot of vinegar and mustard in my naengmyun. Chung-soo naengmyun is my grandmas favorite brand. She used to put jangjorim and sliced dill pickles on top. It was delicious
Hi Maangchi! I made this dish tonight following your recipe exactly! (I even found the exact same brand of mul naengmyeon that you had with the blue sauce packets!) I just wanted to tell you that it was delicious and my whole family loved it! We ate it with spicy pickled garlic scapes as a side dish...I think it's called something like "Maneul Jjong jangahjji"? I'm not sure but they were pickled with a red paste and they were delicious too! Thanks so much for the amazing recipe!
Hey Maangchi, I love your videos. I recently made your Korean Style Mapo Tofu and everyone in my family loved it. Your recipes and your refreshing persona inspire me to cook everyday. Love from India
I'm so happy to have found a recipie for this, i had naengmyeon a year ago in Korea and it was soo good especcially because it was very hot at the time. Very excited to try it out!
I introduced my girls to Naengmyeon when they were very young. They are now in their mid thirties and not only make it themselves but always ask me to make it for them when they come over. I also like to put leftover, cold Bulgogi on top. Maangchi, you are the best.
This looks so amazing. I can't wait to make it. I made your pork belly and ssamjang yesterday and it was the best I've ever had. Same with your kimchi. I made your recipe last fall and it was the best ever. I have to drive 1.25 hrs to Korean market so I stock up very well on everything you suggest. Thank you for sharing your cooking with us.
First time I had this dish it was kinda shocking since I was not expecting any soup to be literally ice cold, this was when I was working ins Samsung Engineering in a very hot and humid place, so it was a good surprise, very delicious and refreshing. I love all korean food, I hope to go to Seoul some time.
Hi maangchi! thank you for always sharing your knowledge in kitchen, I'm proud being one of your million followers, since I have watched your vedeo I start to like cooking! i hope you do many many more vedeo and share it to all of us. take care always! and God bless you.
As a huge fan, I watched this video ages ago but i assumed it had a fish based broth. I finally bought a packet of mul Naengmyeon in anticipation of the Australian summer and put it to use today and it was delicious! Too many days eating tteokbokki means I didn't have any gochujang, but I'm heading to my Korean market tomorrow stock up to try bibim naengmyeon. YUM!!
I really enjoy watching your videos Maangchi! I made it a mission to go to Zion Market in San Diego (Korean/Japanese Market). Boy, was I in for a treat! Picked up some cold noodle soup, kimchi spicy noodles, mung bean pancakes, kimchi (of course), toasted sesame seeds, and so on... So happy to see all the varieties, options, and selections of the types of noodles packages that come with sauces... Only spent 27$ and i'm still eating all this food! I also like to substitute or add different types of organic veggies like broccoli and spinach to the noodle packages with premade sauces! My palette is so grateful to have stopped by here. Love you Maangchi!

Mark Weins just uploaded about eating Jangsu Beef from Jangsu, Korea. In the video he was eating Cold Noodles... Then, I go down and I see Maangchi upload the recipe for Cold Noodles! I can't wait to visit S Korea soon!
Hey! I really love your videos and I wanted to make a note about something for your North American viewers. The cotton bag she's using looks like a cotton jelly bag, which you can find in most Walmarts, Atwoods, Tractor Supply (etc) in the canning section where Mason and Ball jars are sold. They're handy for all sorts of thing, so they are certainly worth the few dollars it takes to buy them.
naengmyeon broth recipe plz, Maangchi...... u said that to add Dongchimi + beef broth together to make the naengmyeon broth. I saw ur Dongchimi recipe, but how to make the beef broth?
Instead of beef stock , need dried laminaria, shiitake. If you have matsutake (dried or raw), put that together. after the make broth, taken out mushrooms, use to garnish. its little different from original naengmyeon(beef stock). but you can still taste deep flavor.
Dongchimi juice is a good substitutes for beef stock. Dongchimi is fermented radish with a lot of juice which has sour, sweet and savory taste. Dongchimi juice and beef are actually 2 most popular options for naengmyun broth here in Korea. I usually use the product of 청수, the same brand Mangchi used in the video.

Mul-naengmyeon is one of my favourite foods in the world - and I also love it in all seasons.
I'm so happy to have found a recipie for this, i had naengmyeon a year ago in Korea and it was soo good especcially because it was very hot at the time. Very excited to try it out!
I love all the chopping, slicing and grating sounds in this video. I'm not sure why.
***** I have seen a few but none of the food chopping variety. I need to investigate. 👍💃
+Ivoree S if you like eating sounds as well, try food4444lyfe. she has a lot of videos where she's cooking the food herself with lots of chopping ;)
I can't stand eating noises but I'll give it a go. See what it's about.
I enjoy those sounds because they give me ASMR. That may just be what's going on. Now I'm half-asleep.
I don't remember what the channel's called, but it's another Korean cooking channel with "No Music" in every title. They mainly make desserts 👍🏽
I introduced my girls to Naengmyeon when they were very young. They are now in their mid thirties and not only make it themselves but always ask me to make it for them when they come over. I also like to put leftover, cold Bulgogi on top. Maangchi, you are the best.
I always enjoy your Korean recipes. When the hot summer, this is a excellent choice.나는 한국 음식의 큰 팬이다
OMG a remake of this!! Naengmyun is what originally got me interested in learning Korean cuisine :) it is still my favorite dish!
This looks so amazing. I can't wait to make it. I made your pork belly and ssamjang yesterday and it was the best I've ever had. Same with your kimchi. naengmyeon broth recipe plz, Maangchi......
u said that to add Dongchimi + beef broth together to make the naengmyeon broth. I saw ur Dongchimi recipe, but how to make the beef broth?

망치이모 전잠들기전에 늘 망치이모영상보고자용 좋은영상고마워요
how can we make vegetarian version of it... can we avoid the pre-made packaged extract and prepare our own to avoid beef stock?
Instead of beef stock ,
need dried laminaria, shiitake.
The heat index is 105 here today. This sure sounds yummy and refreshing.
I love your shirt! Where did you get it/ what brand is it?
Maangchi you are the only person I think cute when slurpying and make noise while eating.
You're just sooo cute, I want to hug you!
Awesome Recipes👌😋👍
Thanks you for your video🙏
If you can't get Korean pare can you just use a normal pare that we see in other grocery stores?
Yes, you can use other types of pear like bosc pears. I talked about it in the recipe. Check this out, please. www.maangchi.com/recipe/naengmyeon
I'm lucky. I live directly across the street from a Korean grocery store. Nice to know which noodle package I should chose.
