Went to St. Maarten 3 years ago and fell in love! On a land vacation during Covid times. The food and the beach were top notch and beautiful. The game show looks really fun on the ship. 🥰🏝️

How cool Lee commented on your video too! We will have Chris the Flying Scotsman and while I hear he's great, I am really sad we won't catch Lee.
We went to St. Maarten a few years ago on a cruise out of San Juan. It had one of the best itineraries we’ve ever had. Of course since it was our first time there we went to Maho beach and did a beach break on another beach. Can’t wait to see your Alaskan cruise videos. It’s definitely on our bucket list, but we have never done any other cruise other than tropical locales. Being from Louisiana we are not used to cold weather. However, I’ve only heard good things about the Alaskan cruises. Really enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing.
We loved cruising out of San Juan!! I'm not surprised to hear it was your favourite! We had a lot of fun when we did Maho beach ⛱️ We are definitely looking forward to the Alaska cruise, not only for Alaska but for Vancouver and Seattle as well! We’ve done the ATV excursion in St.Maarten last year, it was one of the best things we’ve ever done. We went all around the island, it was pretty much all day.

We did the atv tour 5 years ago, love St Maarten that we flew to the island and stayed for 5 days. We are heading back on the Celebration in October, no itinerary yet. Great trip videos, got me jonesin for our cruise.

Yes absolutely!! Although we would go to Bar820 as our coffee back-up just because it was closer to our stateroom we heard Havana bar was usually pretty quiet! Great info! Thanks for watching!! 🍻😎😂
@@ryanandkala oh yeah. I do like the Java blue coffee, but I would find those other options when there was a line. I’ll look for bar820 in the future. And yeah Havana bar area is almost empty and quiet in the mornings. Good for reading too, at least in my experience. Great vid!
My friend and I sailed on the Carnival Panorama last year and she got called for Deal or No Deal. It was her bday and she won one cent lol. It was still a lot of fun and the cruise director, Marty sent chocolate covered strawberries to our room for her bday.

Hi guys, I think you''ll love Alaska. We went 8 years ago believe it or not had 7 days of sun which allowed us to do outdoors things. Try to do an excursion that takes you close to the glaciers either in kayaks or canoes...but remember to bring warm clothing for that trip as the temperature near the glaciers is 20 degrees cooler than on the ship. Also definitely do a whale watch/eagle watch excursion. We were lucky enough to see well over 100 bald eagles sitting in the trees off a tiny offshore nesting area and on the same excursion saw a mother whale and her two babies calving literally 100 feet from our boat...it was just an unbelievably fun land invigorating day. Try to book those itinerating trips before the cruise as they sell out quickly. By the way, we love your videos. We sailed on the Mardi Gras and loved it and are set to sail on the Celebration in early December...can't wait!@@ryanandkala
We did an island tour with Trikes of St. Maarten a few years ago that was fantastic. They also do these trike island tours in Cozumel and Aruba, all are fun and fantastic way to tour the island.
The reason for the wait for the Cucina is because on the Celebration and Mardi Gras, thise with your time dining get first pick of times for that restaurant and for the chi bang restaurant too. On other ships the Cucina is a paid restaurant at dinner and free at lunch only.
That makes sense! Great info! What a nice treat to have it as a complimentary restaurant for dinner. Kala really liked the food because they were really accommodating with her allergies! Thanks so much for the info and for watching!! 🍻😎☀️

Your first night you dine there is free then any night after that is 8 dollars a person. Im sure it’s worth it!! They are starting this on the Mardi Gras. I’m sure it’s probably no big deal but I know you two like to dine there. Just just wanted to give a heads up. Have a good one !!! I

We got picked to play Deal/No Deal on our Princess cruise last week and we took home $303. Not bad for $40 for two cards. Would for sure play again. And on another Princess cruise last year we won $375.00 playing Bingo. Again not bad for $40 for 6 games. We're not gamblers at all but so far so good. Never know till you try. We've played twice and both times won some money. Lady luck so far on our side.

My family and I are escaping the Minnesota winters again February 2024 and taking this exact cruise trip. Beach looks like a good way to go. Sadly I’m the only one that wants to do the zip line to get some good footage so I think we will just end up at the beach.
That's so exciting! Getting away in the winter is an absolute must for us. You're going to have an amazing time, too bad about the zip line it looks like a lot of fun. The beach is a good option though☀️🍻😎
@@ryanandkala last year we went around the same time and we got to skip our -30 degree week long cold stretch. This will be our first ship in the excel class. Can’t wait. One of the years we will try royal Caribbean. I have been debating buying a drone. Which one do you have? I have been looking at dji mavic 2.
@@NorthShoreTravelers I remember that week I think we had similar temperature here in Canada. I use a DJI Mini 2, I just put the link in the description. I like it, it's small, easy to use, video is decent and the gps is good.

Hey guys! Thanks for sharing. My girlfriend and I are sailing out of Miami in August and excited! We have cruised some luxury cruise lines, and they were very accommodating to her dietary restrictions (Gluten). I don’t want her to be underwhelmed by her food options onboard. Would you mind sharing your experience with lunch and dinner options? Maybe offer a recommendation? Thanks again!
Hey Ian! Honestly if she is just GF there’s a ton of options on board! My restrictions are much more difficult because I was vegetarian prior to my celiac diagnosis and didn’t want to give that up (as that was my choice unlike the celiac lol) But the blue iguana has great options for lunch, and the lido marketplace wasn’t bad either! For dinner she will have so many options as most restaurants were able to accommodate gluten allergies super easily! I wouldn’t worry at all! :) Just go early to reservations and let your head waiter in the dining room know asap about her allergy!

Kala said sometimes it's hard to find, but it's getting easier. It's definitely not as good, but for the most part it's good enough and you just have to work around it. The Cruise lines are really accommodating when it comes to allergies in our experience. Thanks for watching!! ☀️😎🍻
Yes exactly! Which is nice because we're diamond status with Royal so we've status matched with Celebrity but just haven't cruised with them yet. I think the whole medallion experience on princess seems awesome too we'd love to try them as well. 🍻😎☀️
We did the Flying Dutchman last November. It was AMAZING!!! I’m a little afraid of heights but the bar up at the top Mtn was instant liquid courage. Haha Definitely a must do the next time you guys are back in St Maarten. (Also, PS, where are the mirror sunglasses from? I need those! 😂)
We will definitely have to check that out next time we are there!! Sounds so cool! Smart to have a bar too haha The sunglasses are from Aliexpress! I love them!
St Marteen is definitely beautiful, but St Thomas is also kinda cool. Ryan and I liked Magen’s Bay Beach a lot. We also went to secret harbour beach resort for a wedding and it was lovely!
It's Great Bay Beach, you can take a water taxi right from the cruise port for $7 or the walk is about 15 minutes from what I remember! ☀️😎🍻 Great spot to just hang out for the day, lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

You can check in for the restaurants on your phone and then it will give you a notification when your table is ready!
We loved this feature! We'd go look at photos or grab a drink somewhere and our table would be ready in no-time.

I think you''ll love Alaska. We went 8 years ago believe it or not had 7 days of sun which allowed us to do outdoors things. Try to do an excursion that takes you close to the glaciers either in kayaks or canoes...but remember to bring warm clothing for that trip as the temperature near the glaciers is 20 degrees cooler than on the ship. Also definitely do a whale watch/eagle watch excursion. We were lucky enough to see well over 100 bald eagles sitting in the trees off a tiny offshore nesting area and on the same excursion saw a mother whale and her two babies calving literally 100 feet from our boat...it was just an unbelievably fun land invigorating day. Try to book those itinerating trips before the cruise as they sell out quickly. By the way, we love your videos. We sailed on the Mardi Gras and loved it and are set to sail on the Celebration in early December...can't wait!@@ryanandkala
We did an island tour with Trikes of St. Maarten a few years ago that was fantastic. They also do these trike island tours in Cozumel and Aruba, all are fun and fantastic way to tour the island.

The reason for the wait for the Cucina is because on the Celebration and Mardi Gras, thise with your time dining get first pick of times for that restaurant and for the chi bang restaurant too. On other ships the Cucina is a paid restaurant at dinner and free at lunch only.

We combined the last 2 sea days into 1 video that im just finishing editing, I think it's around 1 hour long so we got lots of footage lol 😂. Your first night you dine there is free then any night after that is 8 dollars a person. Im sure it’s worth it!! They are starting this on the Mardi Gras. I’m sure it’s probably no big deal but I know you two like to dine there. Just just wanted to give a heads up. Have a good one !!! I

We got picked to play Deal/No Deal on our Princess cruise last week and we took home $303. Not bad for $40 for two cards. Would for sure play again. And on another Princess cruise last year we won $375.00 playing Bingo. Again not bad for $40 for 6 games. We're not gamblers at all but so far so good. Never know till you try. We've played twice and both times won some money. Lady luck so far on our side.

My family and I are escaping the Minnesota winters again February 2024 and taking this exact cruise trip. Beach looks like a good way to go. Sadly I’m the only one that wants to do the zip line to get some good footage so I think we will just end up at the beach.
That's so exciting! Getting away in the winter is an absolute must for us. You're going to have an amazing time, too bad about the zip line it looks like a lot of fun. The beach is a good option though☀️🍻😎

@@NorthShoreTravelers I remember that week I think we had similar temperature here in Canada. I use a DJI Mini 2, I just put the link in the description. I like it, it's small, easy to use, video is decent and the gps is good.

We have cruised some luxury cruise lines, and they were very accommodating to her dietary restrictions (Gluten). I don’t want her to be underwhelmed by her food options onboard. Honestly if she is just GF there’s a ton of options on board! My restrictions are much more difficult because I was vegetarian prior to my celiac diagnosis and didn’t want to give that up (as that was my choice unlike the celiac lol)
But the blue iguana has great options for lunch, and the lido marketplace wasn’t bad either!
For dinner she will have so many options as most restaurants were able to accommodate gluten allergies super easily!
I wouldn’t worry at all! :)
Just go early to reservations and let your head waiter in the dining room know asap about her allergy!

Kala said sometimes it's hard to find, but it's getting easier. It's definitely not as good, but for the most part it's good enough and you just have to work around it. The Cruise lines are really accommodating when it comes to allergies in our experience. Thanks for watching!! ☀️😎🍻
Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean. Its the fancier cruise ships. Like Princess is to Carnival. I have sailed Celebrity. Very nic3 cruise line.
Yes exactly! Which is nice because we're diamond status with Royal so we've status matched with Celebrity but just haven't cruised with them yet. I think the whole medallion experience on princess seems awesome too we'd love to try them as well. 🍻😎☀️

We did the Flying Dutchman last November. It was AMAZING!!! I’m a little afraid of heights but the bar up at the top Mtn was instant liquid courage. Haha Definitely a must do the next time you guys are back in St Maarten.

St Marteen is definitely beautiful, but St Thomas is also kinda cool. Ryan and I liked Magen’s Bay Beach a lot. We also went to secret harbour beach resort for a wedding and it was lovely!

It was so fast honestly! Like maybe 20 mins total!

It's Great Bay Beach, you can take a water taxi right from the cruise port for $7 or the walk is about 15 minutes from what I remember! ☀️😎🍻 Great spot to just hang out for the day, lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
Do you need a drinking package for the coffee? Or can you just buy one when you want one?
You can just buy them as you go! There's also free non-specialty coffee around the ship ☀️🍻😎
