They wrote Ash and Gary’s rivalry like a pile of Muk. The rivalry should’ve been important than the usual Rocket Trio plot. And that’s just sad. Pokémon Adventures got it right with Red and Blue. Pedro Araujo’s Pokémon Gen 1 adaptation got it right. But the anime adaptation? Not a goddamn chance. 🫤
