I just wanna say I've been a musician and producer for over 15 years now, and your videos are great. I still watch them to get tips for my music, even though we don't make the same styles of music 😁✌💖
@@Moon_records_2012 i like to call it BASSTRAP a blend of boom bap, dubstep, house and DNB. not all in one song but those are the genres i generally fuck with
I have watched tons of music production lessons and you are the first to explain the 8 dotted rhythm. After seeing this I will have to go back and remodel all of my tracks. This lesson is a move to your next level lesson. Thanks for such detailed explanations. KVS: South-Africa
Near the end it was really giving me Armin Van buuren Tracny vibes it just proves that whatever style of music alex makes. It will always sound perfect as an end result.
Thank you soooooo much, Alex! I am teaching myself music theory, and I am now at the stage to create my own melodies - this right here is a game changer!!!! Thank you 🎉🫡🎶
I confess that when you removed the spaces between the notes, I thought the sound was a little robotic. But at the end of the video, listening to the completed song, everything made sense! 😅 Incredible lesson and amazing song! 🔥👏🏻
Ur the real deal bro, this is one of the best YT videos I’ve seen in any biz category that brings tremendous value and thoughtfully delivered references to your paid content. Very well done keep up the great work the internet and music needs more ppl like u my g keep up that good energy god bless 🌟💛
thnaks alex , im more an trap type guy but your melo tutorial are so inspirational it give a diffrent touch to my beat and my folks like that !! thnaks a lot
Love your videos man, I’d absolutely love to see you break down how to do euphoric hardstyle melodies, chords and such, keep up the amazing work my friend.
I was walking home from work watching this with phone in hand turned sideways. I was like: “huh, alex’s FL plays from right to left? I was so confused till i noticed that Alex was upside down too…
_"Here's the easiest way to make a dotted eight"_ There's a much faster / easier way, Using the scissors alt click on the note (at whatever division you want) and everything after that will be sliced into dotted 8ths. Also . . . when you move a note up an octave in Logic's piano roll, just hit Shift+Alt+UpArrow.
Another fantastic lesson with passion amd inspiration. Not realy my genre but i can totally appreciate your skill and take away what i can! (But for shits n grins, can you do something a bit more adult contemporary rock 😂)

I won't sleep until I try this out
Awesome!!❤
That line of notes you chose is from a song called Chalked Outline by REN.
You are calling it melodies but they are just arps for classical trance. Been there since the 90s. Will definitely help starting up trance producers.
Bruh this is insane!
I was walking home from work watching this with phone in hand turned sideways. I was like: “huh, alex’s FL plays from right to left? I was so confused till i noticed that Alex was upside down too…
This isnt FL Studio lol

Super!
Paraaaa Alex !!! me explotan las neuronas contigo booo
bcoz of tat i subscribed ur channel.
I use the rule of thirds when I am taking photographs, and doing paintings and employ it in my music less consciously.
Very good video. Not really a melody but still good.
Yeah man!
I love your videos ❤
1:43 in and I already understand more of what your saying over the other videos of yours
Si much gold in here and I don’t even listen to EDM.

Also . . . when you move a note up an octave in Logic's piano roll, just hit Shift+Alt+UpArrow.
Shift + Alt + Up/Down does the same in Reason.
Ctrl + Up/Down moves it a semitone.
I wonder about the other thing though?
I use Ableton, so I prefer Alex's way
The Tutorial must work with any DAW. So Alex is right.
Alex you need to do another video where you detail this song, the sound design is insane . please please please , what was the saturated sound ?
Omg alex i'm so sorry to insist lol but this is fire, please make a full song breakdown
Next video is the full song?!?!?
I think I might have to
you are inspiring (:
you gotta make this a song
"Proper thing brooo"
We need to do a gofundme for those headphones head strap lol

With the highs and lows boosted for my old ears.
Hell, boost the mids as well.
