Great fun, Steve and Andrea. I remember the Monty Python Spam skit very well. The last time I ate Spam was when I was at school in the 1950s and I have no plans to change that!
WOW, Jay Hormel was certainly an entrepreneur. 👏🏻 When you think of how many Hormel' associated products still exist... Spam must be liked by many. It's still on the shelves. That museum was awesome. I never knew the connection Monty Python had to the spam related to technology. This was very interesting, and entertaining. Thank you so much for taking us along, Andrea and Steven. 🏡🙏🏻👏🏻🤗👏🏻🌞
@@rhondaz356 glad you joined us Rhonda. It’s a fun place regardless of liking spam or not. We actually learned a lot especially how it was one of the number one foods during the war and for the military.
How fun! I’m from Hawaii and SPAM is a meat staple there. We have SPAM at least once a week. We live in Las Vegas now aka the 9th Island due to the influx of people from Hawaii that live here. I love it in musubi. My parents hated as they grew up eating during WW2. I knew a triathlete who was sponsored by SPAM and he ate it during his training for the Triathlon in Kona. During the parade for the Ironman he threw out little SPAM packets. It was funny because everyone thought they were small pieces of spam when they were actually candy mints not SPAM at all. We don’t care for the flavors just eat the original flavor of SPAM. Btw… I love your Randomland hat.
I’m not a SPAM lover at all and was really surprised that I liked the teriyaki flavour. Steve loves it but I don’t think he could eat it every day like they did during the war! We love Nevada. Lots of interesting places to see in the middle of nowhere! Yep. Like to support Justin and other tubers where possible. See you on our next adventure
@@PinInTheAtlas I may to try the teriyaki flavor then. I love Nevada for that as well, the old mine towns in the middle of nowhere. We love Ely, Tonopah and Austin to name a few. Be safe out there.
Very interesting. Never knew that there was a museum for spam (the eatable kind). Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. Stay safe and see you @ your next adventure. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
We went to the butcher, bakery, and drink store with my mom as kids. We always got treats from them. Lunch meat, pastry, and candy. Did the same with my daughter as I grew up.😊
The drink store in England is called an Off Licence. We used to do that too. The village I used to live in had 3 butchers 2 bakeries plus a home made cake shop and a couple of off licences. All within walking distance from my house! 😮💨
Now, that's a place Mr. M should visit. I think his thing was Vienna sausages, but they're both the same kind of meat. I love that there's a museum for it! Monty Python's skit: how did they say "Spam" so many times without lol??? 😆😆😆😆😆
Great video of a subject of seldom talked about these days! lol Spam is not something we ate very often growing up, or as adults. We raised hogs and always had a freezer full of pork ... also, my father-in-law served in the army during WWII and he had more spam there than he wanted! Once every few years Spam would show up on the lunch table sometime. My first hike of the Grand Canyon was with a large group ... and many parts of the experience was done by committee and I was a little bit surprised when I showed up to pick up my share of the grub for the hike down and found it contained several cans of spam and a bag of oranges. Hiking the Grand Canyon ... everything is carry in and carry out. The group ate a few cans of the spam, but I ended up packing out the same number of cans I packed in as well as a bag of orange peels. It was like 104 degrees where we were camped and the spam was just not very attractive menu item! It's easy to visualize the outcome of dropping a can of Spam into an electric fan! 🙂
@@PinInTheAtlas The group did eat the oranges ... and someone had a lighter pack hiking out even if it wasn't me! A bunch of us started the hike out early in the morning to avoid the heat and one of the gals in our group was struggling to keep up and I gave her my camera bag to carry and I threw her pack on top of mine, but I still out ran her on the hike out. I ran into an Aussie on the way out who greeted me with a "g day mate ... looks like you've been down there a month!". Another fella carrying a cooler and a large boombox wanted to know how much further to the beach! He was about 9 miles down the trail with another 3 miles to go. There was a beach on the map, but nothing but rocks on that day!
We love Spam in our home! Sometimes we fry it up instead of bacon when having breakfast!!! So good fried spam and pancakes 🥞. Never eat it cold lol always have to cook it crispy! Sliced thin! Yum!
I am wondering why you could not get something bigger, for example a 5-6 yr old UPS truck? You could even make a shower in it and the ceiling is higher? I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.

I could likely survive in a bunker full of spam. Sooner or later I'd be hungry enough to eat it. There sure are some really nasty things that come in cans though. I would probably eat radioactive mud before I would touch vienna sausages, Sea Hok Tuey (oysters), or Vegemite.
Mmmm, SPAM ! Andrea’s favorite! Funny how war makes food famous.. How bout Heinz 57 Bean sandwiches, Andrea? My boss ( a Brit ) ate them all the time and said it was a WWll thing ..
