I volunteer with the Humane society and have adopted 6 rescues with my two latest on my my bed with me now. Those pups have such a sweet disposition and are so cute, I'm sure they will find a home. You did the right thing. As they got older, they would have become less adoptable.
What a great piece of history you two have retraced. The path so many cultures have created and remains . Talk about a walk down memory lane 😊. Or drove. It would probably take a month to see all the history along that path. WELL DONE STUDENTS 😊

What is so amazing to me is the "age" of the history here in the eastern part of the U. S. And, coming from Arizona, the scenery, the water and the trees, are just a world apart. Thanks for taking us along. ❤

Never visited the Trace, but I knew immediately from the title that this was going to be about the Natchez Trace. I read an article way back when, in a National Geographic, about the Trace. It has hung in my mind all these years. Fascinating history. Thank you for sharing it.

I have to say it sure looks pretty where you went. I know what you mean about setting up camp because we had a pop -up travel trailer. It was fun and my hubby and I managed to get faster at setting it up and breaking it down together. Have you all heard of bug spray to keep the mosquitos at bay 😂? I sure hope your next adventure you buy some just in case. The dogs looked very sweet. It's a shame they couldn't stay with you all. But that is life. May i suggest a road trip? The Lewis and Clark Trail, US Highway 12 from Missoula, MT to Clarkston, WA. As the sign says entering the Canyon, "Winding Road next 77 miles" following a river most of the way, part of the time the Clearwater River. Many pullouts with a toilet and you can park overnight. A very beautiful drive with history.
Another interesting path to follow! 🙂 Great video! Sorry you couldn't keep the pups! I don't know ... I might of just added a trailer to the back of Tonto to haul a dog house? I just had another Vet visit today with my two girls and the Vet always reminds me at the end of the visit why I didn't want two dogs! Just one more puppy visit to go and the fixing of the girls in September.

@@brianshersby8979 didn’t see any snakes but we did see one small alligator 🐊 just after I said it! Didn’t come out on camera though too far away

I have read a good number of old diaries from the 1800’s, and not one as I recall mentioned bugs or snakes…. seems weird.
TN. has some wonderful areas. I would however avoid the land between the lakes. Too many negative incidents in that area.
