The dude waving in the background lol
6:07 shout out to this man! 💯
Spam is a combination of 'spiced ham' but also known in the UK as special processed American meat, especially during WW2.
And still will survive longer than twinkies.
@@RebelRed Yes, I know.
@@RebelRed Yes, I have. Why?
@@shanehall3302 It also means "Shoulder of Pork and Ham," as once said by Hormel themselves.
@@englishatheart But what did the founder say? A company can say anything.
It's funny how the Hormel company has embraced the notoriety that Monty Python brought to their product back in the '70s (and later their stage musical "Spamelot") by making their mascot the same style character.
Where'd she go I wanna try the teriyaki.😂😂😂
Watch the guy in the blue shirt in the background at 6:07! 😂😂
I totally was about to put this! Hahaha I'm glad you saw it Christopher Lucas
And he resembles John Cleese. :D :D
😜👋👋👋👋
@Ba Ba The Movie Guy saw
Christopher Lucas Ha! 👋
I love Spam… grew up eating it, can’t imagine my life without it
Aloha Carpetbagger! One of my favorite Spam Hawaiian recipes is to fry it with brown sugar, Shoyu, & chopped Pineapple, serve over 2 scoops rice😊Yum!🍍🐷👍We call the rice/Spam Seaweed wrap on the cover of the Teriyaki Can; Spam "Musubi".
When i was a kid we didnt have much... I would cook ramen noodles and cut up Spam into it and I swear it was delicious. I haven't ate spam in at least about 20 plus years lol
I remember the can that opened with the key-loved it as a kid!
That actually was more interesting than I thought it would be. You got photo bombed by the guy in the blue shirt. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I wanted to say I really appreciate your videos. They are fun and relaxing. The world can be such a stressful place (I work with "high needs" children in DHS custody) and your videos help with my own "self care".
👍it is amazing how one contributes to the world with our gifts 🙂😄
Ooh, I can't wait to see their Nigerian prince section!
6:07
It took you less than a minute lol.
My friend talked about going there to the Spam museum! I didn't think I would be able to go but now you took us there. I saw that Spam spread at the local grocery store! I'm not old but I will remember the key on Spam cans. They were fun to open and everyone was disappointed when they went to the pull top.Thank you!
just thought i would add this. the Spam sushi is called "spam musubi". I visited my brother when he was going to the university of Hawaii and it was everywhere. Really good stuff.
We loved the Spam Museum. The staff is so nice and fun. And if you wear a Spam Shirt, you get free Spam.
That was pretty cool, thanks for sharing Jacob!
I am such a SPAM/pseudo Spam lover. My daughter inlaw brought me a Spam cookbook last Christmas. She on the other hand can't stand the sight of it. So I shared this on my FB page and Tagged her and said we need to go..... ; )
I’ve many fond memories of visiting this pork product museum with my (Jewish) wife. Yes, that was as much fun as you think it was.
So Jacob, I also love SPAM, I have a pic of a can as wallpaper here. Suggest you do what I do here about the smell. Buy a hot plate and cook it on the porch. I retired and when my husband passed I moved with daughter and her family. Because they cant stand the smell, I cook my pigs feet (love my trotters) outside. I bought a double one from Amazon at a fair price so I can boil dill flavored potatoes to go with it....YUM...…Love to you and family as always.
Jacob, It's funny you mention Monty Python here's a fact thats very true back when the musical Spam a lot opened in new York in the theater lobby they sold limited edition of spam called the honey grail they had the cartoon character of the flying circus. It was wonderful that the makers of spam allowed the use of the name in the musical's name
If you drive north a bit to Red Wing, MN you can see the world's largest boot at the Red Wing Shoe Flagship Store, then filming locations for Grump Old Men in Red Wing and Wabasha, then go to Kellogg, MN to visit Lark Toys where they make hand-made toys and you can ride a hand-built carousel.
Sure has been along time since I've tasted Spam. My Mother use to grate 1 can with 8oz. grated cheese mix together place generous spoonfuls on opened hamburger bun halves baked in the 350* in the oven 15-20 minutes (?) served with home made cream of potato soup. Great on a cold night! (they were served as an open face sandwich.)
My friend talked about going there to the Spam museum! I didn't think I would be able to go but now you took us there. Thank you!
I’m from Hawaii and I LOVE Spam. I live in Arizona now, and when I go home I bee line it to Seven Eleven to get spam musubi. That’s the spam slice on rice wrapped in nori you were calling spam sushi. I guess it is spam sushi! We call it spam musubi (moo sue BEE). It is SO yummy!
Who else thought he should have put the label on the spam-can from the bottom up?
Me.
My thoughts exactly :-)
Who knew the Spam museum would be this entertaining?
We just spent our 20th wedding anniversary at the SPAM Museum. Glad to see you made it there! Terrific job showing the place. I brought home the larger SPAM slicer, and some Portuguese Sausage SPAM that’s only sold there in the USA. Really good stuff!
We were there 2 weeks ago. You should have had lunch at Piggy Blues Bar-B-Que across the street. I had the SPAMBurger. it was excellent. Several of the restaurants in Austin offer SPAM items on their menus. Our next stop after this was Wall Drugs in SD. We were on our way to Seattle.
What a fun museum! I have to say, while I enjoyed Spam breakfasts when I was a kid (usually fried slices), when I tried it again after a few decades as an adult, it wasn't as delicious as I remembered it being...
I didnt get a notification for the video! Dang spam filter.
How fast you went sprinting towards the spam lady made me chuckle.
Damn now I got to go get a can of spam.
Excellent! They really put some effort into building a fun and elaborate attraction. Enjoyed it Jacob!
Lol that spam company sure knows how to keep a grudge against that one guy. Yikes
9:10 pavo is Spanish for turkey, or is that Spamish? lol. I looked up the Spam spread it says my local Walmart carries it so maybe yours does, too.
I really thought you were gonna say. This ones in the can... lol
I remember spam that opened in the middle. Not had it since around 1974 or 75
I must admit, that was better than I expected it to be.
Thanks for visiting Minnesota Jacob! Keep making great content. Check grocery stores if you're still in Minnesota and I'm sure you'll find the Spam spread.
I love spam! Thank you for making this video.
SPAM scares me. There I said it! Yikes! What’s in that can guys? Mystery Meat! That’s what!
It's understandable.
I wouldve bought that spam air freshener and phone case
Spam, eggs and potatoes in a nice tortilla with red or green chile'...mmmmm good southwest breakfast.....
When I first saw the thumbnail I was like what??? But this was actually cool🤣
Love coming home from school and watching your videos Jacob! Keep up the amazing work!
I do not like green eggs and spam....I do not like it Sam I am...
Here in Guam this stuff is king! Highest consumption of Spam in the world is in Guam. Its like 16 cans per year per person on average.
Ransome j.”Cy” Thomson “What a piece of crap” 😂
I am surprised they did not have a Spam restuarant on site. They would make a small fortune cooking up different Spam recipes from around the world.
That's an awesome idea!
Lovely Spam!
Wonderful Spam!
Glorious Spam (spam, spam, spam, spam - spam, spam, spam, spam)!
I’m surprised how you don’t have a lot of subscribers yet. But I definitely can’t wait to complete my bucket list to visit every museums you went to feel the experience to see things in person. Spam will be the #1 on the list now lol 💜
I thought he ate the freaking stick!!! Until I realized it was a pretzel...I had a lump in my throat lol
Me too 🤣
Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Lovely Spam! Lovely Spam!
I love your videos! It’s fun seeing you go to these places I’d never think of going to in the first place!
I think Spam is short for”spiced ham” !
Hormel stated in the past that it also stands for "Shoulder of Pork and Ham."
The commercials says that it stands for “sizzle, pork, and Mmm”
I didn't have my glasses on, and, first read: "special meat" 😆
Just an interesting fact- more Spam is eaten in Hawaii per capita than in any other state. Hawaiians got introduced to Spam by the military presence during WWII!
Loved the video. I love spam and pasta. So yummy. But now I wanting to try spam on pizza.
I have never been so hungry for some Spam as I am right now.
Lmao🤣 me too
Hey, I'm from Minnesota! I'm glad you made it up here! 😊👍👍
@Martha A Oh my goodness! That's a long way to travel! I was not aware that they would be visible here so thanks for letting me know!
You can even defend yourself with SPAM...💯✔
You really find the weird places, ahhha
You go to awesome places!! Loved this video!
This has to be your funniest video ever for more reasons than I care to list. Great work as usual!
Take a bite of Spam every time Jacob says "Spam".
I’m here for all the “Spam Musubi” comments
rIGHT HERE HHHHHHHH
Spam is so good
Spam, iceberg lettuce, tomato, and lots of mayo and a little pepper on white bread 🤤
I can't even remember the last time I've had Spam, but this was a clever setup.
Good one Jacob 😁👍🏻
I need a Spam slicer! That was a neat museum attraction! I enjoyed seeing it!!
Oh man you were in my hometown and I missed you!
I wanted to see what he bought :(
He bought a Spam single. :-P
SPAM gets a bad wrap but it's really not that bad. Really just like a salty ham. Good if you pan fry it to drive off some of the moisture. I've been to the museum as well and its actually a really solid attraction. Makes a nice stop if you are visiting the Mall of America or the border waters.
Damn I want to check this spam museum out 😍
Guilty. Love Spam. Thanks Jacob 👍
My Mom loves Spam. I've never had it.
over in the uk our spam still opens in the middle. didn't know that was weird till now.
Spam sushi is so good
Loved those can keys when I was a kid. They were the keys to my playhouse, my imaginary car...so many things!
Minnesota Represent!
What a cool place to visit 👍
I’ve never tried spam before but this video makes me really want some
OMG! I didn't know you could get it in singles!
spam was intro to china in 2009, but spam like can food has been in china since 1950s.
I used to fry a lot when I kids were growing up, we are it on a sandwich. I haven't had it in years.
I like to slice my spam into thin slices and fry it up in a pan with some eggs and toast for breakfast. I call it cheap bacon lol. I love spam. Cooked or straight from the can, either way!
I've seen most of those varieties of SPAM at the Walmart Neighborhood Market that I go to.
6:06 that fella waving lmao
if your still in minnesota this weekend, you should head to Northfield, MN. Its the Defeat of Jesse James days festival. One of the biggest festivals in MN. They reenact the gunfight where Jesse James and his gang were defeated by the towns people after they try to rob the local bank.
You are = you're.
My mom made spam spread when I was a kid. Just mash the spam up, then add relish & mayo.
I do not like spam yet this should be interesting and the museum looks nice.
My guy ate 2 toothpicks
It was pretzel sticks😂
I love fried spam and eggs!
Awesome video
I’ve had Spam spread since I was a kid. Of course I live about an hour away from Austin so might be easier to find here
Why are you eating the wooden toothpick the samples were on? That's just savage..
I was wondering the same thing.
Lol, it’s a pretzel stick.
This is such a strange and hilarious product to have a museum. The problem is that I really want SPAM now. What an odd and expensive advertisement.
My grandfathers loved SPAM. The ate this on long bombing missions.
Love this guy. Uploading cool shit first thing.
I've gotta say Carpet Bagger uve made my day with this video and it's made me LAUGH OUT LOUD😅😅😅😅😅😅 Ure a Legend Bagger😆😆😆
