Recently i went to keran LOC in North Kashmir and i must say our Indian army is extremely vigilant and they are doing commendable job in entire kashmir. Because of them we felt safe on our way back army colonel sent two soldiers walking in front of our car to make sure don't face any issue until we touch highway. I love indian army jai hind

Mor sir, It would be a treat to know 1971 war heros victories/exploits. Last year during silver jubiIle celebrations of Singo vally victory, I heard 1971 battle stories of 3GR. 71war veterans have become old now but their passion, enthusiasm and energy is unmatachble. Please interview them too.

Maj Gen Saab I see Verma ji is highly knowledgeable, but in regard to military operations it is the military commander who knows how to handle a battle, not an arm chair journalist. I am neither a journalist or an army man, but having read military history extensively,I feel, it will be hard for a journalist to lead troops in battle facing death rather than a journalist analyzing the battle after it is over. Nevertheless, there could be a point or two for the taking. About a General being idling playing cards with him I quote a report in which it is said that in the peak of jungle warfare in Burma region a reporter found Field Marshal William Slim writing poetry. When the astonished journalist asked him Slim replied he did the planning and it is for others to execute. Since he has some free time he is enjoying his hobby.

All his current interviews have been civilian and nobody in my opinion has been able to give justice to the surreal story he has from a military perspective.
In view of extraordinary leadership by jr officers in most battles, shouldn't Hony Capt s, SMs etc pay respect to jr officers ?!
Nothing extraordinary, in the Army we know how respect is given and reciprocated. Its is mutual, Yong officers pay a lot of respect to senior JCOS, SMs, and Hony ranks.
I am feeling very very pity over Pak POW'S why because their own Millitary disowned them.

Jai Hind. Thank you very much for such candid and positive feedback. I totally agree with you, many times I too feel we are in fact fighting a senseless war. Having served in many conflict situations including at the height of the Punjab and J&K insurgency, I often felt the need to find peace and common grounds for prosperity. So much poverty and deprivation in our region, yet we are in many such conflicts. Thanks ...we will keep bringing such podcasts in the future too.
