It is a matter of concern and shame why Army does not learn its lessons from Kargil of always fail to anticipate worst possible scenario and why they do not use heavy weaponry helicopters, drones and artillery and they always use soldiers and rifles till they suffer heavy casualties and eventually end up using heavy weaponry at the end after loosing precious life of army soldiers. The top brass of Army always have attitude of a laid back south block bureaucrat and the junior officers and jawans pay price.

As a lawyer, I am presenting analytical view of the Kargil War it is a result of complacent attitude of our top Army brasses who after the 71 war victory formed the habit of treating Park Army inferior to them and as a result to that even after getting intelligence feedback right in the month of February 2019 that there were some intruders occupying the ridges of high mountain in our side and from the pattern of their firing from various heavy weapons it was simply clear that they could not be terrorists but trained Pakistani regular. Even then chief of the army staff fed Ministry of defence with information that they were terrorists and our army would get those heights soon back and accordingly same information relayed by our then Defence Minister in the Parliament when it was clear that Pakistani uniform soldier had occupied high Ridges of mountains in our side at Kargil sector our chief should have had convinced bajpei government to avoid heavy casualty there was necesity to encircle the bases of those enemy occupied ridges to check their supply lines simultaneously batter them by air force missiles to flush out from bunkers to face for further attacks of Rockets ; only patience would have had paid the dividend without causing much casualty which was certain in making attempts to occupy those ridges climbing from base. Our gallant Jawans and young officers bore the burnt. of such hasty decision resulting heavy casualties and injury which could have easily avoided. Nation now demand enquiry from top officers of the army that time why they failed to convince the Bajpai government to choose for the first option when we have example as in the 1965 war our chief of Army staff could convince late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri ji and got permission to cross the LOC and open a new front in Punjab Sector and as result checked Pakistan army advance in chhamb sector which turn the table of War against them. They must be accounted for.-----Arun Kumar Roy 934073 1080( advocate )Bhopal Madhya Pradesh.

It is understood that Indian Govt. has passed clear instructions that in no case Army or Air Force will cross LoC. Where as your opponent country Pakistan crossed LoC and made their bunkers on the hills top 10 Kms inside the LoC. Their Army's chief by cunningness occupied our vacant posts. It is also our intelligence failures. If Tashi's sheep not lost than our Army would be in the normal state of security.

Kargil war is an epitome of Shame and incompetence of Indian Army Generals and its border security and intelligence 🤦😭 when junior officers were warning of possible intrusion a year before the actual event these generals were busy moving troops out of LoC to build zoo in Leh, and guess what no general till date faced any trial or court of enquiry and all the blame were placed on Brig Surjit Singh, Brig Davinder singh and Major Manish Bhatnagar who actually were the real heroes warning these generals of action all year long!! Shame on such Army Hierarchy for so incompetence on delivery justice or even writing a true report of lapses by top officials so that it won’t be forgotten
