Secondly, next week I'll be setting sail on the @TheSmoothJazzCruise which is an absolute dream because Marcus Miller is hosting and many other amazing musicians are playing and lets face it, Marcus is the reason I started solo busking and getting into Jazz music.

The perfect bass solo instrumental. It has so many groove's, levels and texture that include little intricate details to notice. Melodic, rhythmic, basic yet complex, overindulgent yet humble. A Yin/Yang balance loaded with mindfunk. Like wine, this gets better with age. I gain nothing from my review, it is voluntary and genuine. My only motive is listening pleasure.

I was'nt expecting a reply from Dr. Funk! How kick ass is this man! Hey man, I played 8 string bass for 30 years. I have my area where I am damn good. I do alot of octave slides or swells, half octave or as small as two frets. I got a spanish fingernail roll that makes me sound better than I am. My style is like Roger Waters playing flamenco mixed with some metal and classical music as well as classic rock. But you play with more rythmn than some drummers and your solo's rival some lead guitarists out there. I showed Roadrunner to my oldest brother who loves The Beatles and Clapton more than his little brother. It's difficult to get him to give a new song a chance. I send him 30 songs, good shit too and I get feedback for 3 or 4 of them. He actually commented on you several times. It helped that you did some Hendrix and blues stuff with Smokey. You are a team player man. You definitely know your role as a bassist. Thanks for doing what you do and doing it so well. Peace Brother! Be safe out there man! KCRebelMachine over and out!☠💀☠

I can say, with absolute Certainty. This is what we call a True Virtuoso. He, is the definition of that word. Beyond just the Funk itself. As I come from the land of Funk and the Studios of Funk. As I'm from Detroit Michigan. We created Funk. I can't get enough of Funk. What a fabulous accomplished artist this is.
And you know it. Because he doesn't look serious while playing this. He exudes this. He is one with this instrument.
This is a fabulous sounding Bass Guitar.. This thing has been set up so superbly. At first I wasn't certain it wasn't Friendless? With only indications of threats. Without feeling any frets? But it looks like it as frets? Hard to tell in 2D however.
I mean I love recording Bass Guitarists. Like this one here that, comes in at 5:00 recorded back in, 1996. It still holds up.. It's my live FM Mix. It's not perfect. It's not a remix. It's a Raw, fly by the seat of my pants, mix. And the Bass Solo is just fabulous. Then comes the drum solo after the Babs solo. And equally fabulous. And I used to play his records on the radio. And here I am now recording him on stage. It's a great thrill. And I want to make certain he sounds is best. However I can complement that wonderful artist.

This is from a Hot LA Musician. He's a virtuoso. Just like this fabulous gentleman here. There's a similarity in their sound, technique, playing style and the articulation! Oh my God! The ultimate in Articulation. This takes at least a, 20 year personal investment to get this kind of good. And not go out playing with all your friends and having fun. Because you know you're going to have maximum fun. And maybe even generate a few dollars along the way. Doing what you love.
I was so incredibly impressed by this. What a fabulous performance. And we all got to enjoy it here on RUclips. Yay RUclips. There is some worthwhile programming on this channel. Of a truly Accomplished Musical Artist and Virtuoso.

When I love a song as much as this song, I listen to it way too much and by the 40th or 50th listen, the novelty wears off and I've burnt it out. With this version in particular, the novelty is just as new as if I just pulled the album out of the sleeve and the steak juices just started to sizzle cause this choice instrumental masterpiece is still medium rare and not burnt at all despite the hot, fire ass coals and smoke drenched, runs, slaps, plucks, thumps, muffled, slides and fingernail strumming executed and funked up! ☠💀☠
