When I was 15 I started playing bass in a band with a few close friends and I loved to get my funk on unfortunately I also loved to get higher than a Chinese kite when we'd get together for a jam session. After 6 yrs I lost the best thing in my life due to the fact we were all addicted to opiates among many other substances. I'm 35 now and i just discovered your channel and like many others was inspired by your funky ass grooves and the pure joy you emit while the music moves your soul. I'm going to pick my bass up again and get back to groovin, even though my mates are gone I realize I can get just as much enjoyment from playing solo as I did with our band. Thanks for doing what you do Dr. Funk. Cheers!
