This is really an upgrade to previous Ao Nang video plus it has the community of people indulged in long tail boats and paintings. .Been to Phuket and Koh Samui.I never knew something like Koh Yao Noi existed in Southern Thailand with such a relaxed vibe.Great video.Enjoyed a lot.

@@travelforphoebe Northern Thailand has more of a city feel to it with Chiangmai being the second largest city there and is all about road tripping rather than island hooping from one island to another and a stay like cape kudu is a distant dream there as that stay is on a next level one.For sure on my next Thailand trip's bucket list.
Oh, wow, I had never heard of Koh Yao Noi, but now it is definitely on my list! I spent a few days in Tonsai and when I went over to catch the airport shuttle in Ao Nang it felt like such a big town in comparison to the quiet of Tonsai even though it really wasn't, I just hadn't seen a car in days 😂

Ohh Phoebe i visited Krabi and stayed at Ao nang for a couple of days last November and i absolutely loved it!I was lucky enough to enjoy Poda island off season and it was magical .Railay beach is also a must as it's just a 10 min drive with the long tail boat .Krabi night market was amazing (foodie here 😋) and also there is a restaurant called the Hill Top a bit pricy but totally worth it.I really want to visit that part of Thailand again someday it's so much different to Greek island hopping ,( you should try i totally recommend if you haven't already).😘😘

Thanks for the great tips, guys. Wondering if you have been to Koh Lanta? Tossing up between Yao Noi/Yao Yai or Koh Lanta.
Hello! Hmmm I have but it was a very long time ago and I didn’t do it properly so I can’t really compare, I’m sorry! I would say Koh Lanta is more built up than Yao Noi so maybe if you want a more remote experience Yao Noi is the way to go. Hope that’s helpful. Phoebe x

Such a helpful video and very detailed ! I'm planning a trip to Thailand during monsoon in late Aug/early Sept for about 10 days, not including travel days from and to Europe. I want to spend at least a few days in BKK cause I'm a huge foodie, then fly to Krabi and hop around, any tips for an itinerary ? It'll be my first time visiting Thailand :)

I should have looked into Koh Yao Noi while staying in Ao Nang twice in the last 5 years. Krabi is much better than Phuket and you do some great island hopping tours there. Koh Lipe is amazing and beautiful - close to Malaysia/Thailand border. Lot of Southern Thailand has a large muslim population and some islands are mainly muslim - even the locals in Phi Phi Don are mainly muslim.
