I purchased the DK Custom lift kit for my 2021 Trike, and had them installed. The lift kit has transformed the handling and comfort. I highly recommend getting a lift kit installed. Also, installing a Stage I will dissipate the heat coming from the motor. Opening up the exhaust will definitely help.

Yep I gotta get some kind of lift kit- it seems to make a big difference no matter what specific approach you take

Can I ask the cost of the lift kit and to have it installed?

You're absolutely right that the first and most important comfort "modification" is to buy a Tri Glide. It is unrivaled for highway cruising, especially with a passenger. Then immediately install an adjustable backrest. I rode for the first couple of years without it and the difference is enormous. It completely changes the experience. The highway pegs helped too but the backrest is the biggie. I plan to do more as money becomes available so this video provides some helpful information.

The lift kit and shocks front and rear are a must for handling and ride quality. Legends is what I have on my trike. The life is one inch but makes a difference.

Hearing more and more about how much better shocks make a difference. Time to maybe research the NexGen 13" :)

I have a HD 2019 Trike and I like your added amenities, but I included hwy pegs for my passenger that can adjust to (3) different position on top of her floorboards. I also I stalled the extension brackets to move the touring pak back more, so she has more room to simply relax. I have both the 7" & 15" windshield, but prefer the 15" since i use the trike for long trips. Happy trail, be safe!

Awesome! I may do the tour pack extension kit as well- I need to find someone that's done it and show my wife so she can decide. Need to get her some swivel arm rests too.
      Ride blessed!

I sure do like this tri glide- can't wait to get some money saved up and put in a lift kit and new rear suspension! What's your next trike change you want to make?

If you look on eBay you can get the lift kits for your trike for about 44 bucks. The only advantage to by the legends is they have their name on them(can’t see it anyways) and they have one hole that is threaded. For almost 300 dollars I’ll buy the 44 dollar ones all day long. They actually are the same dimensions so they do the same job but much cheaper.

Now that's interesting - thanks for posting this! Food for thought that's for sure.

Not so much for comfort, I added a mechanical reverse. If you plan on keeping your trike for a while, it will save you $$. The reverse motor will run $300+ and if you can't install it yourself you will pay labor. I can back up all day if I want to.

Sorry for the long response! Life's been crazy...
Funny story... I traded the trike in for a spyder rt limited. I'll be creating a video ad posting it explaining my reasoning. Must say I thought I'd always have the trike but boy oh boy is the spyder a nice ride!

Also air pressure is critical. 36 front, 26 rear

Great point. I took mine in for service and they aired the back tires up above 30 and I could REALLY feel the difference

@@RideBlessed It seems the dealer would know the proper air pressure.

    What about the handle bars?

    • @RideBlessed
      @RideBlessed  4 месяца назад +1

I did actually put some different bars on the tri-glide when I had it. Don't remember for sure, but I think they were 14" bars that I swept up and back a bit. Got the bars just closer enough that it was more comfortable on longer rides.

You seem confused between the term “bike” and “trike”…This is definitely a “trike” as “bi” means two (as two wheels) and “tri” means three…😉

Fair enough - in some circles they don't understand the difference lol so I seem to go back and forth
