Ok but there are a few concerns here. First of all, you gotta start small cause imagine if you had a deadly fear of sharks and then a shark just walked into your house one day to help familiarize you. Second, why not just catch it then cause I doubt a scared animal that had just been beaten would warm up to Ash in any reasonable period of time. Third, if he wanted to gain it’s trust then why not just give it berries? Like I can go to a random park and feed a squirrel a nut or feed a duck some bread and they’ll be eating from my hand in seconds

The reason why Tracey replaced Brock is that the writers thought that Brock would be perceived as a racist Asian stereotype thanks to the way his eyes were drawn but thankfully they realised that nobody cared and reintroduced him back into the series
Hilariously, nobody actually realized he was supposed to be a stereotype either. Western audiences thought his eyes meant he couldn't be black, and eastern audiences thought he was too black to be Asian.

But by the time Brock comes back Ivy realizes he was in love with her and knew that was wrong which is why she told Brock to go and why he went to Pallet Town and sad. That might even explain why Brock NEVER explains what happened or why there was a break-up, and he gets visibly depressed every time someone mentions her name.
She might not of, but was using him as child labour to clean and fix everything that the adults let get out of hand. While if she did know, she was using this as a way to get him to do said tasks.

Tracy admiring Oak makes sense when later episodes and a movie reveal oak used to also sketch pokemon.
I love the scene where Ash and Misty confront three thugs who were harming Lapras.

Ah Tracy, the absolute undeniable best companion that has ever existed😂😂

You missed a /s there
Ngl the "That's not a moooooooove" gag is quickly becoming my favorite one in each of these videos
Good to know future moments of Ash lifting things like Hipopotas and Cosmoem are based on past feats XD
Liam had put on a whole suit and tie and everything just to sing:
That’s not a move
And its Reuuuuuuuuuuuussssed
We are next to misty saying like
" venonat is not a bug type'
Venonat: bug/poison type
Misty is dumb
@@Eric-py8yy misty: if I don't think it's gross it can't be a bug flawless logic
I pretty sure she said "At least they're not Bug types" when referring to both Marill and Venonat.
@@0chiba Tracey: **Catches a Scyther 13 episodes later**
Dude is a bug catcher trying to look like any other trainer with that Marill.
10:35 Ash probably jumped into the water and swam around the pool with it to try and familiarize Lapras to make it feel more comfortable so it would trust them.
@@Dominator_0211 no concerns just say hes dumber then a flip flop
I believe “radar eye” is referring to its ability “compound eyes” rather than a move. Kinda like telling Pikachu to use its electricity to power something, rather than thunderbolt.
Abilities came out over 2 years after this episode.
@@0chiba Johto Pokémon were featured in Kanto as well, things tend to be revealed conceptually through the anime and then get tweaked into the following gens. This is the classic pattern and if anything, that proves why the name of the ability is similar yet doesn’t match.
@@BigBoss-nn2ut Don't mind me, just nitpicking. You're probably right about it being an ability.
@@0chiba If anything, that was a compelling point. You’re factually right, I was just pointing out the weird gray area between the games and shows ontop of the likelihood that it was meant in that sense. You’re good - I appreciate factual and respectful nitpicking as opposed to degrading and insulting. That was pleasant compared to most folks criticism on YT 😅 Wouldn’t even call it nitpicking - you both respected my opinion and presented factual info as fodder to your own, that was just a good point. Much respect.
Wow. This was surprisingly civilized for a RUclips reply chain.
They could have called Tracey a "Pokemon Artist" which would make more sense instead of a "birdwatching" trope. His Venonat will be used inconsistently.
Liam said Misty could eat Ash and at that time all the poke shoppers cheered. Little note he's not justifying you guys.
Got to love it when Liam sings that awesome song.
Other versions of Ash: Has mega Lucario like strength
Alolan Ash: *can't lift dis log*
9:16-9:37 That is a good point Liam or maybe another option could’ve been to have Tracy himself take the GS ball back to Professor Oak and then have him stay at the lab much earlier that way Professor Oak gets what he wants and we don’t have to put up with Tracy.
Although Tracy's a stranger and it's probably not a good idea to trust him with the GS Ball, I'm going to ignore that. Because yes, you're absolutely right. We'd get less Tracey. It's a win-win!
For someone who was criticizing Ivy and Brock last episode, Liam sure does like talking about Ash with a “brick” in his “pocket” 🤔 😂
Liam was being kinda sus. Pass it on.
There was that Misty thumbnail he used 🤔
@@johnnyphesto1247 is it misty riding an onix or getting licked by a lickitung
@@dragon-du6ew real answer: probably one with her in a swimsuit. Joke answer: yes to both
LMAOOOO Liam does have a point, but from the "FanService" side of things I guess seeing brock turn into a teacher's simp is while weird, would be funny to watch her use him as a pokemon lol
Oak wants to be alone with Delia even longer.
I mean if you had the chance wouldn't you do the same thing ?
I didn't post in the previous video talking about Japan's age of consent, BUT, if I had, it would NOT have been to defend the idea of a 35-year-old and a 15-year-old being together. It would have been to defend the writers' integrity as writers. Although... ...I don't know if they were actually secretly perverts either, sooooo...Never mind. This post just served to trick the algorithm into helping the channel out.
Tracy, is basically a fusion between Brock and Snap xD
0:36, no man leaves high school knowing how to deliver a baby.
Liam after a very quick bit of research at your current level of 32 and HP at 82. I was upset to fine out you aren't a poliwhirl......but a metapod. FYI only looked through Gen 1.
What Liam says is true-when I first came upon these videos in my feed, I thought, "I like this idea but this guy is a little too pedantic, isn't he?" and then two episodes later, I got the feel of the videos and now I absolutely love this series. Moral of the story? Give everything in life its proper chance and don't judge too quickly.
Tracey cannot take photos because:
A) His surname is Sketchit so photos would not work
B) He likes to draw people...Naked!!! 🤣
Draw me like one of your Kalosian girls
Pokemon Park's sign designers had been to the island of pink pokemon. XD
Keep Liking everyone, I'd like too get through all the series, Liam is great. And he makes me laugh on his own opinions. Looking forward too the next episode.

"Ash probably weighs about 100 pounds soaking wet with a brick in his pocket." That shit had me rolling. XD
Liam: *What made you change your mind, Misty?*
Well...I mean, what do you think those two were up to by themselves? 😳🤫😶
I only remember Tracy from the 2000 movie as a kid and being like "who in the world is this?".

If I told you his last name isn't Sketchit, I'd be lying.
No weirder than having the last name of Ketchum (Catch em)
0:07 When I think traveling companion, I only think of Lapras. So my automatic thought was "How can you not be happy about Lapras joining?"
Maybe Pokemon watchers are like the pokemon equivalent to really bad storm chasers, that have no meteorological training.
Tracy's Venonat was what made me love Venonat so much. They're just neat.
TBF
In Venonats Pokedex entree it has Radar capabilities
It wasn't a move it's just it's natural ability
The first 10 seconds of this video already gave me exactly what I was looking for.
Maybe Professor Ivy didn’t really notice or didn’t think Brock was in love with her and thought he was just wanting to help out like an assistant. But by the time Brock comes back Ivy realizes he was in love with her and knew that was wrong which is why she told Brock to go and why he went to Pallet Town and sad. Sure for the audience like us it was so obvious why Brock was there but maybe not for Ivy
Probably yea
That might even explain why Brock NEVER explains what happened or why there was a break-up, and he gets visibly depressed every time someone mentions her name.
She might not of, but was using him as child labour to clean and fix everything that the adults let get out of hand. While if she did know, she was using this as a way to get him to do said tasks.
@@CiarlaArt I doubt it was the intention this is a kid's show

Ahh Tracy, I wouldn't say he's the worst or most annoying traveling companion (I believe that dishonor goes to Max from the Advanced Series), but he is for sure the most bland and forgettable. Even Cilan had his cheesy food related puns and "It's Evaluating Time".

@@one-up7498 When you have a literal Six year old who thinks he knows everything as one of the Main Characters, it wears on you pretty thin, especially when complemented by how freaking dumb and dense Ash and May were for the entirety of Season 6.
Yes I mean that. Dawn may have started off similarly to May, but at least Dawn had SOME Contest Background in the family. May was a trainwreck and didn't become likeable until she actually got somewhere and gained some experience as a person.
Yeah Max definitely was the most irritating companion

Pokemon Watchers probably aren’t a profession, they’re probably amateurs; like how in the real world birdwatchers are regular people that just like looking at birds while ornithologists are the scientists that study birds.
As for not knowing whether or not Tracy’s on a register…fairly sure if Brock’s not, they’ll be fine with Tracy. 😜
On the Brock-Ivy age gap thing, if they actually let the characters age, then Brock would be over sixteen by now, so by British standards it’d be legal. Wouldn’t make it any less creepy though, so it’s still an inappropriate relationship.
Having binged all of the episodes over the last 2 weeks, I'm super excited to be one of your 1.6 million subscribers!
The greatest thing I can't understand is how exactly do these trainers and guys like Tracy afford the travel expenses. How do they earn or get money.
Same way trainers do in the game - gambling on legal glorified cockfights (aka Pokemon battles). For convenience these all happen off camera, hence why we never actually see money changing hands after a battle in the show.
😜
Liam seems especially peppy, or cheeky in this episode...Not complaining though, that cheeky banter always gets a laugh out of me :D
