My wife passed January 19th 2022, she was 45. When you actually have it, the real thing, nothing else on earth comes close to that...at all. And when it’s ripped from you...there is no greater pain to endure
🤣 LMAO WHAT?! as you dont currently have it what makes you think that you will in the fiture?! JS...... look at it from a different angle and save yourself the hurt painand loneliness my friend
I just stumbled on this song. It’s been 5 weeks and one day since I lost my husband to FTD. Two months shy of 40 years together.....and this morning I find this song.....
@@alexjalava2035 every day has been a struggle. But I am slowly learning to take a moment at a time. I do encourage you to continue to value the love you have found. One year or almost 4 decades we need to always make each moment count….as the saying goes- “hope, faith and love-but the greatest of these is truly love…. Take care and guard your ❤️
I was widowed at 47 and know what this all fees like. Im now blessed by a new love, but he is an optimist who never sees an end. I think that knowing there is an end is a gift which keeps me facing the right direction. His perception that we will live forever makes him want to fix all my silly habits...I dont do the same because if I were again the one left behind, I would cherish the memories of his silliness
My folks are gone now but had 56 years together before my mom passed and my dad went shortly after. Wish they could have heard this tune. I have no doubt they would have loved it.
i was talking to my friend cause i was listening to this song and i said "dang you know at one of our furnels everyone is gonna be there and one no one is gonna be there"
My love and I had 21 years together before he left this earth four months ago. That line about your questions like directions to the truth ❤. We really did believe we’d have forty years together. We had no idea…I listen to this song to grieve my husband, because often, music expresses my loss better than anything else can.
I actually searched for this song after reading reminders of him by Colleen Hoover and the vibes this song is actually giving me is seriously insane. I can actually imagine ledger singing this for Kenna.....💜
I got 25. Late in life bsbies we lost him 9 days after his 50th and a week to the day or babies the twins... our 4 in 5 years We battled illnesses snd set backs but the dream died 2 minutes snnd 2 miles from our forever home 32 acre paradise in upstate NY where he took the train ride one hour snd twenty minutes each way where he eas a high end book designer. Now 20 years later,, raising our 3:17 beautiful children without him i wake up everyday thinking he's still alive. I have no answers. It doesn't make you stronger or part of a plan It's just every second holds life and death I can't understand why a lot the best die while the the worst live. Each set of my grandparents got 60 plus years They died within a few uears after yhe other. That o understand and this song says it all. Their divorce hurt me ss my grandmother told me everyday you have too work at it. Abuse is a game changer but their story I don't know. But it's worth fighting for
If Paul Simon were dead, I'd say Jason Isbell was the reincarnation of him, based on the fact that he can place metaphors that cut through poetic flowery shit into the heart of the issue. 😎💯 The lack of trying to hide is Jason Isbell's greatness!
Love this song it’s so true people I love ones are only borrowed on time love them while you can get rid of your arguments and your attitudes. Stop trying to be hard and simply learn to love.

My sister and her husband got 42 years. She passed in June 2023. The longest hard fought battle with cancer. They played this at her life celebration
I never thought a song would make me lament the future loss of something I do not currently have.

Joshua, that thought is deep...

Try witnessing this as your baby sister's wedding song to a loser 😱😭
After almost 40 yrs together, this song touches my heart so deeply on so many levels.
My beloved wife died 4 years ago, I understand
I always hoped it wouldn’t be me who was left behind but somehow I always knew it would be. My husband died 10years ago and I miss him more every day.

To my husband, my twin soul. He's 14 years older than I am, I'll probably be the one left alone. I pray I go quickly behind him!
IDK how i've never heard this song, but damn if it doesnt kick me right in the balls.
i was talking to my friend cause i was listening to this song and i said "dang you know at one of our furnels everyone is gonna be there and one no one is gonna be there"
This songs makes me cry. I feel the loss before it even happens.
After 41 years of marriage my mother passed away. My father had to spend exactly 369 days alone. I can only hope they've been reunited...
I’m so sorry for your loss sweetie
Working on 51 years on the marriage and 53 on the guitar. Both seem to be holding up. Great song, by the way.
♥️ That's so sweet.
This is so beautiful. Makes em think about my grandparents.

Their divorce hurt me ss my grandmother told me everyday you have too work at it.
Abuse is a game changer but their story

But it's worth fighting for
Such a beautiful song!
One of the few songs on the radio at work I actually like.
This is romantic...im not married. Hopefully one of these centuries i will be but I'd love to dance to this.
Just heard this song on Austin City Limits. Loved it.
If we were vampires and death was a joke
We'd go out on the sidewalk and smoke
And laugh at all the lovers and their plans...
THANK YOU JASON!!!
I got 33 years together..........amazing song
This song makes me sad when ever I hear it
This my song to LoLo ....hopefully it will be her spending Some days alone...cuz i wont make it without her..
I thought that too one on time A
I was hoping for the same thing but I lost my wife of 26 years praying just wasn't enough so now I'm spending some days alone

A song for another time....I kept forgetting to share it with her. I know she would've liked it
my grandpa passed and this hits me deep bc him and my grandma have been married 40 years and i feel awful for her rn she’s hanging in though
Great song.
In a similar vein, check out "People Get Old" by Lori McKenna. I was telling someone about that when they suggested Vampires.
