We sailed Breakaway from NYC a few years ago and it was a blast. We had a lot of fun but there were lots of things I didn't like. The layout of the ship is a bit funky with dead ends where people had to turn around and go back the way they came. The smoking from the casino was just bad, gross. The Manhattan terminal was really, really bad. On the good side the food was just about the best I ever had a cruise and the freestyle thing is cool.

Hi Ella, thanks for watching. There are many design similarities between the two ships, although the Norwegian Escape is quite a bit larger.
i loved the ship. staff was above and beyond. the buffet food was really just ok. i encourage everyone to eat at restaurants when you can. the 8th deck was the best. the main pool area was way too packed with people. perhaps consider redoing deck 15 and make more room

Hi Eileen, thanks for watching. Are you referring to purchasing a pass to the thermal suite? Depending how far until your cruise sails, you should be able to log into your NCL account (you'll nee to create a login and have your booking #) and purchase a thermal suite pass.
I’m a big basketball fan. I wonder if that basketball court is just for fun or if you do tournaments.

Do you have single cabins for those traveling alone
Hi Phillip, thanks for watching. The Norwegian Breakaway does offer Studio rooms designed for single cruisers. The enclave of rooms also has keycard access to the Studio Lounge serving continental breakfast, snacks and cocktail hour in the evenings. While studios have no single supplement, it can sometimes be less expensive to book an interior or higher, even at double occupancy rates.
Which bar would you recommend for single mature people?
Hi Johanna, thanks for watching. That might depend on the type of drinks you prefer, but Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar, Prime Meridian Bar and Shaker's Cocktail Bar are three that I think you'd like.
