FINALLY a local food program that features other Bake & Shark vendors....instead of that 1 usual suspect.🤐 I LOVE UNCLE SAM's B&S 😋 My go to spot for food in Maracas.
The more that I watch a Foodie Nation video, the more I'm deeply ashamed that I've yet to make it to Trinidad. My fond memories of living in Brooklyn, NYC (1975-1983) are that of being proudly exposed to my West Indian (grandparents) heritage via the culture of food and the most sincere wonderful people I'd never met while growing up in Harlem. I MUST go to Trinidad as I've been to Jamaica twice, and I must also go to Barbados where I have family from mom's side. I thoroughly enjoyed Trinidadian food my eight years in Brooklyn and continue to enjoy it here in Orlando, Florida but I MUST experience the entire culture of Trinidad 🇹🇹 live. A good and old friend of mine retired from the United States Postal Service and has built his retirement home in his lovely country of Trinidad, now I haven't any excuses for not going and I can't wait to get there! THANK YOU for this channel, your people are absolutely wonderful as I've always known since my years in Brooklyn.
There's a saying, if you wanna know who has the best bake & shark, try one from each vendor without dressings 🥰 "Uncle Sam & Son's always come out on top" 👍
Thank you Mr Sam and most of all to your mom my brother was to service you with ice and the ice box great service to all of us thank you to you and all your family ❤🙏
Amazing Wow cant wait go and taste your food .. Its an Institution !!! History that makes Trinidadian food one of the best in the world !!! God bless you Uncle Sam and Family !! "Grand Master Chef Ryan Richbees" Keep it going !!
My wife son and I was just in Trinidad and we patronize your business Continue to smile and give good customer service, I would never patronize Richards again He always serious and never pleasant, he always look like he doing the customers a favor Here in the states, good customer service and great food goes hand in hand, great sandwich friends!!!
Definitely the absolute best bake and shark resstaurnat at Maracas! Great service, generous sized bakes and portions of meat. My go to everytime I viist TT
We understand the history ,but yall prices ridiculous and the shark slices like paper. not even Richard's, Patsy's is the best ,tasty and affordable with all the condiments n toppings. Foodie always doing vids on the already popular .ppl will never know the smaller franchises and how good they are.
Here is a video we did highlighting a small, relatively unknown Bake & Shark vendor on Maracas Bay: ruclips.net/video/jUSMW4PHUlY/видео.html The purpose of featuring Uncle Sam's was to tell the story of how Bake & Shark got its popularity on the beach as well as to pay homage to the pioneers of the craft. It is very important for our food history to be documented and shared for future generations.
Everything, but the prices of stuff decreasing. 1. Bourbon biscuits 2. All Diana sweets. 3. All tinned stuff. (1 tin of pigeon peas used to share for nine people. Parents and 7 kids, now two tins could barely share for 4 persons. 4. Doubles 6. Corn curls, cheezees etc. 😢😊
Them toooo freaking ridiculous BAKE AND SHARK is sinfully expensive even for someone like me who earn a decent living and can afford to fork out 55.00 for a small fry bake and shark come onnnnnn shark is still one of the cheaper fish around
You are paying for a lot more than just a Bake and Shark. The unlimited toppings and condiments are not cheap. Skilled labor is not cheap. Add everything else required to run a business. Plus, there is a premium attached to purchasing one of the world's most sought-after "sandwiches" on a world-renowned beach. There is always the alternative of buying something else or cooking your own food.
@@fazz3606 Guess what i have become an expert at making my own "floats and shark "" complete with the toppings in my home a pound of shark and 2 lb bag of flour i can eat as much 'float and shark as i want

Wow how I hate to hear Trinis with this "Would of" thing all between normal talk, PS: It doesn't make you sound intellectual, just dumb.
