loving the instructional videos. I have a travel trailer that has foam cushions that are too soft. Also the cushions do not match the lids for the storage below. I want to make firmer cushions that match the underlining storage lids. I have ordered foam samples and need to have my wife pick out fabric. Thank you.
That's great to hear! It's awesome that you're customizing your travel trailer cushions. I'm glad the instructional videos are helpful for you! Let me know if you have any questions, via ericg@sailrite.com
This was such helpful video! It was succinct and direct. My first project turned out great. Wonderful tips. I just got my LSZ-1 the other day. Great performance and easy to use. I like the whole package.
@@SailriteDIY ahhh ok, Ty for quick response! I’ve got all my sailrite supplies ready to make new cushions but was confused about the seam allowance. Thank you for the informative video!
Is there a way to calculate how much fabric is needed if we use this diamond pattern with 5mm thick foam? The backrest of my boat is 4.5m long, so there are lots of diamonds to make, which would require more fabric... but by how much? Thanks
When sewing diamond quilted panels I usually make the panel about 3 inches winder in length and width than the desired finished size. I hope this helps.
At Sailrite we call the boxing with a zipper a "zipper plaque". (Note that this use of the word “plaque” is not to be found in any dictionary - it is a term created by Sailrite to serve where no other was currently available. The word “placket” is commonly used to refer to a flap of fabric that covers a closure device over a slit opening - so there is some justice in our usage.)
Never thought I could do this until I started watching your videos and I did my whole pontoon boat and it came out beautiful you are a awesome teacher
Thanks! Good job!!!
This is exactly the video i was looking for.

Very good video, thanks
Espectacular
Is there a video showing how to make the zipper plaque/pocket so it falls completely along one edge instead of wrapping around as shown here?
Yes, here is a link to that tutorial video: ruclips.net/video/4MKqnjMgIoI/видео.html
If we are doing a 1/2 inch seam allowance, shouldn’t the fabric cuts be 1” larger?
We want the cover to compress the foam slightly which is why we do not add the seam allowance.

👍👍👍💐 thank you
PERFEKT😄😄😄🇵🇱🇵🇱
I believe the zippered area is a PLACKET, not a PLAQUE.
