I love the subtle growls in between Aiden's breathing, it really hammers down the fact that his infection is slowly clawing it's way out of him. Also, it's really neat that the soundtrack gets more intense according to chase level, but the Volatile theme from the first game is just nostalgic to me.
When I avoid night like the plague for first few hours (aside force story night missions) till I got decent gear I did my first level 4 chase and I kept freaking tf out when volatiles showed up at level 3 and nearly pissed myself and somehow kept it till chase 4 and when I looked behind have like 3-5 volatiles I got so shocked that I forgot the controls for like solid 3 seconds hahahaha

dying light 2 night time is so bright compared to night time in dyling light 1. I think thats why a lot of people dont find dying light 2 chases to be scary
It does not needs to be scared by that It needs to be scary due to the fact that when you get like a level 1-2 chase at an instant and you got a level 3 building up,you barely have the needs and weapons to stop the chase and if you re far away from your safe house,you're about to get fucked by the volatiles who are,indeed,fucking one-shot you easily.

Yeah his brightness is way too high. When I'm on ground level, everything is black without a flashlight and all you can see is the luminance on a screamers body glowing or eyes, glints of fire and uv lighting. I absolutely need a flashlight on ground level. Just as dark as DL1, if not darker. At night, I always run ground level until just about level 3 chase, then I hit the rooftops or somewhere close to a uv light to start combat. Creates a lot of immersion, especially when it's pitch black. Again, his brightness is way too high.
I always did love the detail of when you are getting close to becoming fully infected you hear yourself sound more feral instead of human while running, you can hear how you are struggling to be yourself, also, lovely run through the park yeah?
I remember a while back, I played DL2 after a small break and it was after some updates. I was like “alright. I wonder whats changed.” Night 1? I run into 3 volatiles tearing up a corpse. Random ass encounter! Instant level 3 chase that made me yell out thanks to how I was just a wee level 2 aiden
So Aiden must be extremely limber. I mean, look at the way he burned his calories while wearing tons of layer of clothes and bringing plenty of loots on his pocket🌋
This guy is really good at keeping the monster at bay and running from them successful I'm pretty good at the chases but I start sweating bullets at level 3 to 4. Very nice work man it's not easy to lose the monsters at night at that high of a level.
The first time I got a lvl 4 chase I lured a bunch of volatiles to a night runner safe zone and all but one of them ran off, the one that stayed got stuck in an animation loop in the UV light and died. Free trophy for me.
This game is incredible. Sure it has a few bugs but there hasn't been a game in a while that makes you feel terrifyingly excited whilst you play it. Games like GOW or RDR2 were amazing yes but none of them had that feel of edge on your seat stuff. For a game to be able to make you feel terrified for your life as if it is you who is running inside the actual game is utterly remarkable. It's beautiful to play a game like this where time flies by because you're having so much fun. Techland is an amazing game developer what else can I say.
@@stooplights2192 They've dropped a few patches after New Year. And I also didn't notice issues until late into the game, like white particle artifacts, clipping objects, missing objects, player stuck, volatiles roaming in UV zones etc
NGL makes sense that the developers made it like that. Let’s be real, if you had to deal with 6 volatiles every time you wanted to do a night mission would you want to play the game? It’s not that it would be to hard it would be just damn near impossible without the right tools
@@guanlong6699 exactly with the right tools. it should have been as you progress the game it gets easier at night, once you get your stamina upgraded it’s very easy at night. atleast have it hard at first so we have to find ways too hide or run yk but I do agree it would be annoying if they were just op all the time😂 or could just make them harder in freeroam then easier once you get into a mission.

The repetitive mildly interesting Soundtrack and the brightness of the night makes this seem a much less scary experience than dying light 1 night chases.
As much as I don't care for the new infection timer mechanic it is a neat touch that your dude starts sounding progressively more like a viral as the timer gets lower.

I find they were only scarier because the parkour was slower. The parkour in this game is much much faster and better flowing it gives you a lot more confidence. I like it, but I know what you’re saying
