For me Dying Light 1 is the GOAT zombie/survival game alongside The Last Of Us 1. Dying Light 2 is definitely amazing too, especially the parkour mechanics and ho smooth the gameplay is.

This is such a fun way to grind agility, got almost six thousand in a night in the central loop before, and I called it quits before the sun came up too. I think the chases in DL1 are way scarier, but DL2 gives you more options, even if it can get repetitive by the end of a night.
@@johnnywick1110 Do the same without a grabling hook on hard and with base Level stamina and parkour. I tell you its not easier but way harder. You cant even fight back because they will destroy you. In Dying light 1 I basically murdered them at night at end level stage. I dont think you can do the same here. It feels way harder and the parkour is really weak.

I forgot to mention this but I was using I Am Legion - Reborn on the highest difficulty on DL2 and even then it was easy to get away eventually at nights, because they made parkour so absurdly easy. Zombies still died very easily. While with DL1 I used Night Runner mod on max difficulty and even with 600-1000+ dmg weapons, some basic zombies require up to 10 hits to die. The white hazmat suit ones take like up to 20, 30 hits. I feel like in DL1 the volatiles are way more fastesr and since the parkour is not as easy as in DL2 + bundled up with the mod, you are lucky to get away from chase lvl 1. You are very very very lucky and its a rare sight if with this mod you get to chase 2 and still live past it. In terms of difficulty, in general like the ending boss died so easily it felt like it was some easy difficulty boss, it died more easily than a volatile. I think the only thing in DL2 that made it more difficult is the AI. It's more advanced and makes things look more realistic but then again it's not as scary as DL1. The monsters in DL1 are just ruthless, especially with night runner mod. U should try it. I also have enemy variety so nasty mobs end up at places you'd least expect and I also have the weather mod so it's raining, there is fog sometimes, thunderstorms...floods. And I played DL1 first, then DL2 and now I've been playing DL1 again so the memory is very fresh. If you play with these mod, you will see it's 10x scarier and harder. But as I mentioned, with similar mod on DL2 with max difficulty, it wasn't even as remotely difficult as DL1. Even without mods it felt like they made everything weaker in DL2.

At the end I was able to basically one shot anything in Dying light 1 even in the following. My guns/weapons made 2k+ dmg and had legendary mods and so on. Escaping may be easier in Dying light 2 but just face all the newly effected and volatiles on the street with chase on 4. I dont think that it will work but good luck. I dont know how you can talk of easier when they have removed all guns. Parkour at base level was also way smover in Dying light 1. While end game parkour in Dying light 2 has way more options. But as I said the very beginning on hard feels quite hard you can basically do nothing. This changes troughout the game. But part 1 gave you an easier start and more base skills than 2. In addition to this roof tops were way closer togehter and honestly you could loot really easily in Dying light 1 while in 2 you get chased the whole time and you cant do anything without makinh noise and getting chased. Just put hard mode on and try to enter the danger zones at day good luck. The only thing that was hard about part one was Bozak.
I intentionally go out at night to get it to lvl 4 and instead of running I fight hordes of them I have yet to make it though the night but I’ve been very close countless times and this is with lots of high level weapons uv bars grenades and everything

@@SDR3088 Yh your right, although I haven’t been experiencing too many bugs, I think there is a lot of room for improvement from more weapons and style, more dlcs and better loot drops and points of interest like EXP Caliber in Dying Light 1 and the Camp on the bridge in Dying Light 1 . Basically they need to make it more like Dying Light 1 to give it a better and more exciting experience.
That was a pretty cool, albeit intense chase, few times when you hit the ground I thought they had you.. Cool to see the Survivors tools in use, I would like to see a PK sided person do a similar vid.
I havent messed around in chases much yet, as i just started DL2 last week, but the dark zones and tunnels is what get my adrenaline goin. That shit is DARKKKK DARK and not really mhch room to parkour. Its fun

The game still could use more polishing, but by mechanics its definietly an improvement over DL1, DL1 had a great start during its time because it brought something new into the zombie survival genre, DL2 didn't had it the same cause it didn't really brought anything new to the table (except the better parkour, melee and overall movement system whose are better and smoother than in DL1)...yet. I just don't like the parkour stamina while climbing, seemed to be unnecessary to be added if i say so myself, but it does make the climbing a bit more realistic.
Everything in Dying Light 1 was better (story, vibe, map, ambience, characters etc etc) expect for the parkour variety and gameplay smoothness. Dying Light 1 can’t be topped and is one of the best games made let alone best zombie game.

I fucking hate the music when the chase starts. But this was sick though. 1st time I played the game I knew itself on level 4 chase there's gonna be volatiles after you. And it's near impossible to do this without all the survivors Parkour upgrades.

Whenever you enter dark zones or be out in the night, the immunity timer comes up (or should come up) because it indicates how much time you have left before you turn into a zombie. I don’t know why you don’t have the immunity timer when out at night, maybe it’s a glitch in your case.
Just the regular weapons that you can loot for… and it’s not putting a “dent” on volatiles because I’m playing on hard difficulty with not glitches or cheats 👍🏻

he has his gamma at 20 default. turning it to 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 makes the night waaaaaay darker with little to no effect during the day

Whenever you enter dark zones or be out in the night, the immunity timer comes up (or should come up) because it indicates how much time you have left before you turn into a zombie. I don’t know why you don’t have the immunity timer when out at night, maybe it’s a glitch in your case.
