  • Ampère is nowadays mostly known as a unit for current. The physicist behind this unit conducted various experiments, demonstrating how current and magnetic field interact. A text-book example of these experiments, are two wires bending towards each other when current is ran through them. Demonstrating such an experiment in a class-room can be difficult. This video is intended to help demonstrating this experiment.
    In this video you can see a current-source and wires. When the current source is turned on, the blue wires start moving towards each other. In a close-up, the current, magnetic field and resulting (Lorentz-)force vectors are drawn.
