Schwarzkopf also has a bleach for people with dark hair that want to go to brown I used that many times my result was similar to your end result but it's just one step less damage and no orange.

I have no idea... if the dye has some bleach in it then i guess it would turn out brown. But black hair is very difficult to deal with.. 😩

Got highlights at a hairdresser & they turned out orange/yellow, big contrast to my dark brown hair & I hate it. Wonder if I put this ash brown dye on top of the whole hair would make it look good & more natural, I'm so confused with this stuff :/

Is bleaching really necessary to get the end result?
Depends on what your current hair condition is in. If you have previous color in your hair then i think bleach is necessary. But if not it then might work ☺️

It was not a brown toner, I bought a semi permanent ash brown hair dye. I think any form of semi permanent ash brown color would work ☺️

Hey! I don't think I am in the position to recommend anything lol. Everything I used (in the description) is available in the US! If not, I think you can use any type of bleach, and just throw over a cool tone semi permanent color or some Wella toner. Then depending on if you want darker roots or not I followed this tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/lAlQXyq-2GM/видео.html

You can't lighten your hair with a dark colour if your hair is dark. You need to lighten it with bleach then go from there with the color you want. Try to watch Brad Mondo's videos on DIY hair bleaching.

You don't need bleach if you're only going a couple of shades lighter. It depends on how light the brown is, I'll be dyeing my hair from a dark brown to ash without bleach. Bleach is really damaging too.
