    After 4 years your video is still relevant. I thought something was wrong with my rear brake. Not the performance, I can make it lock up without an issue but it rattles. You wiggling it at 21:21 gives me confidence that it is 'normal'. I haven't seen diagrams on how to take it appart but it wasn't like that in the beginning. I guess you made a lot of people happy with these videos.

    Hello Miguel,
    I really cannot thank you enough for the QiCycle videos - by far the greatest source of knowledge about this bike on the internet.
    Today, I went for a longer trip and the clicking of the bottom bracket was driving me crazy. Without you: A) I wouldn't really know what is the cause, and B) probably wouldn't be brave enough to try and change the bottom bracket by myself (and therefore would have to pay big bucks for servicing).
    Again, really, thank you so very much.

      @@TheMiguelBi Oh, they *definitely* help. Quick additional question (and I admit I already know there is no clear answer): unfortunately, I don't have access to torque wrench - how tight would you say are those 45 Nm on the bottom bracket and cranks? As in "as tight as you can make it with your hand", or "put your whole body into it"?

    • @TheMiguelBi
      @TheMiguelBi  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, this answer is not easy. The closing of these parts is of many Nm. I have tightened them to around 40nm, and it is enough strength! With a long lever the applied force seems to be less, but if you have normal key yna you will have to apply a lot of force. Generally there are not much problems in tightening everything by hand. The problem is to close the nuts on the rear wheel, the sensor may no longer work!

    • @anavnaj
      @anavnaj 4 года назад

      @@TheMiguelBi Hey Miguel, nine months later, I'm coming to you for advice once again. Could you tell me which nuts exactly may cause the sensor no longer work? And how do I prevent it? Should I just tighten them lightly - not too much? Thank you!

    Dear friend first of all many congratulation for your videos.
    I am an owner of the European version of Qicycle and I have also mention 2 negative point.
    1)If the Xiaomi run out of battery or if you want to use it like a regular bicycle (motor assist set to off) you have to overdue the resistance of turning motor (front wheel) is there a solution for this?
    2)Also the speed limit is very annoying.
    Is there a way not to switch of but put the limit in bigger speed like 30-35 kmh.
    Best Regards
    George

    This video is great! But now I'm not sure about getting this bicycle! Cause I already want to change these parts you changed and I won't be able to do it even following the video step by step)) haha but it was really nice to watch. It's strange you said that the bicycle was 400€ it's like 800 (double as much) p.s. are tyres painted or you can buy them in these colour?

    • @TheMiguelBi
      @TheMiguelBi  4 года назад +1

      Yes, in the Asian market the cost of this bike is 400 €. Like all things Xiaomi (or imported) the price rises a lot in Europe .... 800 € is still a bargain.
      Xiaomi stores in Italy sell it for € 1099 !!!!!
      Alas, being a bike designed in economy, these parts are really to be replaced if you want to have a good bike. Any mechanic can do it for you! ;)
      The wheels are not colored, so they were made by Dely Tires, an Indian company if not badly appealed.

    Grazie mille per l'interessante video. Lo stavo guardando perchè ieri sera ho letteralmente distrutto il freno anteriore della mia Qicycle. Per fortuna ero in pianura, altrimenti avrei fatta una brutta fine. Hai qualche suggerimento per caso per un'alternativa al freno standard anteriore? E tra l'altro, c'è un modo per cambiare lingua nel display? La mia è ancora in cinese da quando l'ho comprata nel 2017.

    Hello, I recently bought the BR-C6000-R, but surprisingly the store seems not to attach the additional 3 components like this video shows from 22:48 ~23:45. Is this normal ? If this is correct, what is the specification of these 3 components that I should buy from bicycle store if I need to tell them the component name and specification ?(EX : diameter,width,length ...etc.) Thank you.

    • @TheMiguelBi
      @TheMiguelBi  5 лет назад

      Hi Horry Poter,
      This is not normal at all! The kit must be complete. Bike24 and Hollandbike ship everything complete. Decathlon sometimes not.
      You need to consult the Shimano data sheet. The components you need have their own specific code. (You can also find them individually on hollandbike.com).
