I go to school at a middle school half a mile down the road from Hoover high… the former Hoover coach Waldrop’s has some classes with me. He resigned then they found this guy and look at what happened. I am a kid and if any of us acted like this at school we would get expelled from the district. This is sad he had a chance to resign

To be clear, the coach who did the humping is the head coach, the only defense I could possibly think of is that he was trying to pull the kid to his feet or something and it just looks very very wrong, that doesn’t excuse pushing and ripping players helmet off though, so I’m not trying to defend him too much, I’m just wondering if he meant to air hump him, either way it’s automatic termination, it has to be

My son plays high school football. If a coach humps his face like that an ass kicking is coming. Like blain said, there’s not a place on this world you can hide. That’s sexual assault
I played D1 in the 90’s, when pretty everything was allowed & I can tell you this would not have been tolerated. Has nothing to do with being soft. I have kids who play sports & both those coaches would be filing charges against me from a hospital bed. You can NEVER rip a downed players helmet off. That’s football 101, always. The humping is assault on a minor. I’m guessing he wasn’t gratifying himself, so he won’t get sexual charges.

I live close to Hoover. The two coaches are “put on administrative leave” and one of the player’s parents has filed a police report.
