Good review, thanks! Just ordered one! BTW, nice to know your local cops show proper discretion on the after hours ordinances... he was probably happy to have someone out there with a 12k LM torch, chasing about the zombies! Cheers!
Great video! Now I have to have it lol. Been reading reviews on the MF01 and owners with the X7 say that the MF01 kills the X7! I have the X7 and it puts out serious light! So for less then half of what the X7 cost with coupon I am all over this! My 8th flashlight purchase in 30 days! Yep, I am a flashoholic lol.
+Otis Cobblepot thank you! I'm starting to like and collect these high output lights starting with this one 😉 I want a few other high output lights but they cost some good money to get.
luxLumen GR I hear ya, my wife doesn't get it, I purchased 2 Thrunite flashlights this year, I first got the Thrunite TN42, has a throwing distance of 1,550 meters, I just recently got the Thrunite TN36 2017, 10,000 lumens, they are beasts, good luck with your channel
I've had the MF01 for quite a few years now. I use it infrequently - sometimes not for months and I notice that after three to four months, the illuminated control button goes black and the four cells discharge down to just a few volts each. In contrast the illuminated control button on my BLF Q8 (uses the four of the same 18650 cells), which also is infrequently used - will remain illuminated and the flashlight works normally for significantly more then a year. I have read that the problem is drain from the the illuminated contol button. I find that hard to believe as the button on the Q8 is brighter then on the MF01. I think I either received a defective unit, or there was a power off drain problem with the MF01. I've read the MF01 button illumination can be turned off, but can't remember how and can't find the instructions that came with the MF01. Any MF01 users out there see this problem, or know how to shut off the button light? Any comments on differences bewteen the S and X versions of the MF01 and the original? Thanks! Pete
Got mine for $76.00 but no extra o ring or a tri pod nut, and banggood recomended protected batteries which are not the right ones. So I ordered some LG HG for this light.
luxLumen GR - According to a review on the pre-production model the light cuts off all power, including the breathing mode, at 5.4v or 2.7v per cell. So you don't need protected cells for over discharge. I also wouldn't let it run down that low. Most of your power is spent by the time you get to 3.5v per cell, so I'd charge them around then. If you did find a protected cell short enough to fit, you'd have to use a good one capable of delivering at least 8 amps. So it's best to use high current unprotected cells.
+Patrick Richard thank you! The light does get warm but not hot...The thermal step down works great so it is comfortable to hold when warm and doesn't get burning hot... at least it hasn't for me.
Not sure why but I don't see much of a difference from 5800 lumens to 12000 lumens for this model(Not just your review). On other model (219C) reviewed by others I see a jump from high to turbo (And that's 6800 to 11526 lumens)
+James Calley it has an internal thermal step down so depending on the atmospheric conditions of where you are running the light it will vary but I ran mine outside for well over a minute or two before it stepped down... even after it steps down it's still in a pretty bright mode.
OhFishyFish it never did for my package so I'm just gonna guess no on this one but I guess it all depends on what country it is being sent to and what their rules are.
james palmer - Are you trying to say that a protected cell will fit? I know they made the production model battery carrier a bit longer compared to the prototype model battery carrier.
Unprotected cells will definitely fit but I tried a protected Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mah battery and it would not fit in the carrier and it shifted my spring a little because it was so tight and would not fit.
12000 lumen 4x18650 =3.5 heures pil omru harika bir el fener , fakat bi sorun var neden diger markalardan daha ucuz neredeyse yari fiyatina olmasi biraz supeli ,???
mortuus no it's not a felony it's just against the city ordinance to be in the park after Dark because there is a public pool in the park so their concerns are safety!
Charles BridgTec this dude copied charles bridgtecs video of the same light verbatem! Even down to removing the plastic tabs so you can fit those cells! WTF! this dude is crazy
james palmer I didn't copy my buddies review and yes I removed the tabs it doesn't take a genius if you want to run flat top cells! Do you even watch reviews they are pretty damn close 😂 but whatever lol
Did you test the light with a LUX meter because Chinese lights never live up to the true amount of lumens. I know from experience. I am sure if you do test with a LUX meter you will NOT get 12,000 lumens.
A lot of bad and good comes out of China. But as for astrolux I can assure you they are tier one for the flashlight industry. Up there in the top 10 for best brand.
This is the most detailed professional flashlight review. We sell same thing on Amazon at 99 USD - MT18 Flashlight

@@celpabedn yeah how's that light holding up after a year
Nice vid, recently got in to collecting high end flashlights, flashoholic here, just subbed

Got mine for $76.00 but no extra o ring or a tri pod nut, and banggood recomended protected batteries which are not the right ones. So I ordered some LG HG for this light.
The manual shows that the red light will come on at just below 6.8 volts. At 6.1v it starts blinking. Then at 5.8v it turns off.
+JasonWW2000 that is correct!
JasonWW2000 so it does have low voltage protection so protected cells are not necessary.

Seems to be a good light for the price. What is the heat like on turbo? Does light feel warm or hot when holding? THanks for the review.
+Patrick Richard thank you! The light does get warm but not hot...The thermal step down works great so it is comfortable to hold when warm and doesn't get burning hot... at least it hasn't for me.
It's a sad day in the United States of America when we are suppose to be free, when you can't go to a park after the sunset.

Hi,great preview, what is the time on 12000 before it steps down
+James Calley it has an internal thermal step down so depending on the atmospheric conditions of where you are running the light it will vary but I ran mine outside for well over a minute or two before it stepped down... even after it steps down it's still in a pretty bright mode.
By the way does banggood mark full value on the packaging? VAT and import duty will be a pain on this one..
OhFishyFish it never did for my package so I'm just gonna guess no on this one but I guess it all depends on what country it is being sent to and what their rules are.
What type of batteries did you use for this review? Thanks.
mhs vz I used 4 LG HG2 3000mah Flat Top High Drain Cells
Dude ur nuts! Unprotected cell will fit in that flashlight
james palmer - Are you trying to say that a protected cell will fit? I know they made the production model battery carrier a bit longer compared to the prototype model battery carrier.

JasonWW2000 nah, i was in a pestering mood serioulsy
1:20 he thinks the silica gel (poisonous) is a breath mint. :-)
🤣🤣
why doesnt someone go on a cliff or high hill and beam against another hill so we can see hhow far how much illuminates

So being near a playground w a powerful flashlight is a felony, why?!
mortuus no it's not a felony it's just against the city ordinance to be in the park after Dark because there is a public pool in the park so their concerns are safety!
You can't be out after dark? WTH?
Charles BridgTec The park is closed at sunset. This keeps the riff raff away.
+Charles BridgTec they close that park because there is a community pool in the park is my thought and like Jason said it keeps the riff raff out!
Charles BridgTec why cant he be "out after dark" ? Wth are you talking about? Are you guys in the same city?
Charles BridgTec this dude copied charles bridgtecs video of the same light verbatem! Even down to removing the plastic tabs so you can fit those cells! WTF! this dude is crazy
