If Muhammad Ali was forced into it he would knock you out but I've watched all of his fights on film that are available and there are several where he either held back when he had his opponent helpless and a few such as Jerry Quarry and Ron Lyle just off the top of my head where he stepped back and asked the referee to come in to save his helpless opponent George Foreman stated when he watched the fight footage of Ali knocking him out he noticed that Ali could have hit him two or three more times as George was falling to the canvas yet he noticed Muhammad Ali held back all of those punches including his right hand that he could have landed another devastating right lead as George was falling. George in defeat being knocked out by Muhammad Ali stated those two or three punches that Ali could have landed but held back has George was falling helplessly to the canvas that's what made Ali the greatest to George

Champ
Your boxing career doesn't matter
You was a Champ as a man and that's worth much more than any title or belt
This is why he's the greatest ever. He had the gift of gab. But was intelligent at the same time. Ask George Foreman.

Beautifully said 👏
Man is an absolute legend! Super humble. A big reason why he was so successful!
This is the reason George Foreman respects him to this day. When he was knocking George down, he had the chance to hurt George even more. He resisted.
Every aspect of this guy is great....
Ali was an outstanding and compassionate human, who happened to come to prominence through boxing. ❤
