Bending tubing is tough. I've hade brake lines and its a pain. I am hoping to build one day and the bearhawk 5 is high on the list. Thank you so much for making the video's I am on my second time of watching them.
My, long departed, Dalmatian-Pitbull mix (Augie) used to pull me on my skateboard at just short of 20 mph ... good times and good memories ... nice job on your videos !
Good info. I'm doing the same install on a Patrol. I make quite a few driving trips to KC so I bought 12ft lengths of 5052 at Airparts among other material. As you know shipping prices are getting crazier every day.
Haha love the cowboy version of a one wheel! I’ve got a jack Russell so even though his spirit to tow me is in the right place, I reckon keeping him focused on towing me instead of chasing a cat, or a rabbit, or starting a fight with some massive mutt will be almost impossible! Love your work mate. I’ve got fuel lines to run on mine yet so it was good to see how you and bear hawk did it. Good things to think about
You could have started as a commercial electrian, then you could have saved a bunch of line as they can really show you how to bend pipe. but that would have taken years, your doing ok!!!!!!!!!!!
No doubt that's an Aussie 😂 Love this Ranch Hawk build with all the details and tips from your experience!! Life goal for myself to build my own! Keep it up! :D
Colby, I am building a Companion and tomorrow I am sourcing all my fuel AN hose fittings. I am curious if you demeaned can tell me the fitting form the fuel valve to the gascolator as it would be really helpful to minimize the distance between the two for space purposes. Thanks in advance, Jay
I’m certainly no authority on the subject but my understanding is absolutely no Teflon tape, but some pipe dopes are ok. Loctite 565 was specifically recommended. I think that came from the builders manual but I might have picked it up from the forum. All the flared fittings are supposed to be assemble with no thread sealant. I only used thread sealant on the NPT threads. Greatly appreciate you raising the question.
Olá Colby bom dia, voce pode me dizer esse tubulação que você passa na fuselagem e pra qual fim? Sistema de freio ou de comando? Gratidão amigo Wessiley
That dog was begging for attention all during this video, you can tell he's happy and loves to run.
Way COOLER than TP's one wheel.
Now that's cool 😎. I would say that is the cowboy way using a cowdog. Keep up the good work.

Great job on the fuel lines--the shrink tubing looks great on those pressure points.

Dalmatian-Pitbull mix, I bet that was a neat looking dog! Appreciate the complement, Bill.

If he's like any of the Jack Russell's I've been around I'm sure you're right about his spirit! haha
Appreciate the kind words.

Hey Jay. My kit came with an NPT nipple to join the two. My fuel selector valve came with a fitting that screwed into it and had female NPT threads.
@@ColbyOsborn Thanks Colby, I talked to Mark and he told be that it was in the box, I did not initially see it. Keep the videos coming
Doggo power! Nice!
So, is it ok to use Teflon on fittings like that? I thought it was kind of a no-no because it can dissolve and can also clog parts of the fuel system.
