This was partly filmed in my neighbourhood Bonnie Doon, Edmonton, Canada. I was walking at the park tonight December 19 under a full moon and kids playing hockey.
Snow day in Texas 2021. The snow made me go straight to watching Christmas movies lol. Since we never get snow for Christmas 🎄 I took full advantage on this snow day lol 😂 👍🏽
Much like Rosie O’Donnell in Harriet the Spy, Bruce Willis in Rugrats Go Wild, David Hasselhoff in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and Sam Elliott in Barnyard, they really hyped Chevy Chase’s role as a main role when in reality, he had a minor role
Came back here after the paramount plus announcement. It doesn’t matter if the new movies going to be good or bad in my opinion. But I remember seeing this one in a hotel room with my dad on a vacation and it is one of the most fun and funniest movies I have ever seen. And that snowmobile chase in the original was legendary. One of the best car/motor vehicle chase in history and barely anyone talks about. This movie is a gem and hoping it gets recognized more! Edit: I saw the new one. it was decent as a regular Nickelodeon movie. But the musical bits were hot garbage. And No legendary snowmobile chase scene at all like the original. But they added back snowmobiles so it was kinda cool.
@@bigjohn08865 when I first heard about the snow day reboot, I was so annoyed!! These reboots make me sick to my stomach. When are these originals going to be left alone as originals?!
I legit can’t friggen believe this movie is being remade 🤣 Whether or not it’s good, the nostalgia suddenly brought back for something I COMPLETELY forgot about near and dear to my childhood is much appreciated ❤️
Every school deserves at least ONE Snow Day, but the thing the kids don't know is that for every Snow Day they have, there's one extra day of school that they have to go to.
I was 12 when this movie came out. This was pre-9/11 so everything was so much better back then. Cheesy movies like this simply warmed the heart and it was on to the next fun time with family. Fast forward to 2021, and they’re mostly all dead, I’m unemployed, a fake plague is causing governments to clamp down because they finally have their excuse, and I’m sitting here watching nostalgia before I throw myself off a bridge. Time flies
I don't care that Snow Day has a Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer score of 27% and an audience score of 29% - It was a simply brilliant movie that will never be outdone and deserves to be recognized for the masterpiece that it is. The PSA before the movie starts warning kids not to eat yellow snow is, by itself, genius level production. Me having been an 8 year old third grader at the time of it's release and my neurotic, irrational sense of childhood nostalgia has absolutely nothing to do with my opinion on the matter. Also, only a company like Nickelodeon could be so creative and inventive that they actually used a time machine to bring Michelle Trachtenburg's 9 year old self from 1994, who's present self in 2000 was old enough to be starring in Buffy the Vampire Slayer when Snow Day was released, to play Natalie in the movie so that Michelle could actually be cast as a 9 year old girl, and then list Zena Grey as the actress without anyone even noticing or blinking an eye. It truly is a work of art.
And people say modern movies reveal too much in the trailer. Jokes aside, I remember this movie from my childhood. I remember the snow plow guy being a lot scarier though.
@@stefanmovieflixtomasi Because it would have made the movie so much better. Without that it's kind of generic. Pete & Pete was awesome and it deserved a movie.
@@kreuz7sieben did you hear about the Snow Day 2022 remake? It looks terrible. These reboots are starting to become a self destruction to my childhood including the Cheaper by the Dozen one
Yes that’s correct. They’re coming out with these odd remakes of classics like Home Alone and Cheaper by the Dozen. The only remakes I admire that came out during pre-streaming days include The Shaggy Dog with Tim Allen and RDJ. The old world of remakes are like fair and square IMO
This movie didn't even get an HD copy, there's no blu-ray, but now it's on 4k hdr iTunes. Lol, it went from DVD to 4k that's one heck of a leap in picture quality.
This was lit snow day. The snow day that is now released on Paramount looks like garbage. It looks like it took all the fun that we loved about this movie and sucked it out and then made it into a musical version because they can’t think of any original ideas.
Still unnecessary but the worst remake of a memorable family film from our childhood is Cheaper by the Dozen so that one is even more hateful in my eyes. The snow day remake is somewhere between number 3-6 on my list of worst remakes along with Disney Plus version of Home Alone
@@hairybeast86 sorry this is a year late, but the song at the start of the trailer is “I’m Cool” by Reel Big Fish (the Keep Your Receipt EP version), and the song at 1:08 is “The Kids Don’t Like It” also by Reel Big Fish. I really miss the usage of ska music in trailers and movies. i’m 31 and the late 90’s early 2000’s are so nostalgic now

Man can you believe this movie is already 20 years old?
True it wasn’t met with the best reviews but that Hoku song made it a hit
They have remade it.
And Schuyler Fisk hasn't aged a day
You guys are all remembering correctly, this was and is a perfect movie.
In hindsight, this is one of the most 90’s movie trailers I’ve ever seen.
Technically it was in 2000 but you were a little close.
@@spagett2487 Yeah, in 2000 it was LITERALLY the year after the '90s just ended, so the year 2000 was STILL like the '90s...

This is the closest thing to having a snow day growing up in Florida
Way better daze … no smart phone no social media except for Yahoo chat line . Wish I could go back !
Same with growing up in California
you don't need a snow day to skip school in Florida
Snow day! 2021 Texas
Fun fact: This was supposed to be a movie based on The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Let that sink in.
I read that on IMDb
@@RR-lh1kv why
It should be on Blu-Ray.
Imagine watching this, an actual snow day 😎👌🎬🌨
I did lots of times because 21 degree weather isnt something you stay out in long..
i still have a VHS of this movie from blockbuster that we never returned lol
Who else watched this during quarantine...
No one? Just me?
Watched it yesterday
Just you. Yes.
Saw this film in the theater when I was a kid. Good times. Fun movie
😢man good times
It's amazing how much physical comedy Chevy Chase does
He will always be admired as a great alumni of Harold Ramis classics Caddyshack and Vacation. I also liked him in Zoom with Tim Allen
I miss when Nickelodeon was sped up footage shots, ska music, and millenium pop.
I saw this movie with my grandparents when it was out!

They only signed up for the roles because there was going to be a movie set full of vulnerable children.
@@operatorblack Dude there were barely any children on the set of Spongebob Movie, Barnyard and Rugrats Gone Wild. Hell most of those are voice roles
Notice how little of Schuyler Fisk they actually show and She is the best part of the movie.
