- I love this Pandan Sponge Cake! The cake is so fragrant and the texture is light and fluffy!Recipe adapted from @Katherine Kwa
Ingredients 蛋糕材料:
6 egg yolks (6粒蛋黄)
50g caster sugar (50克细砂糖)
80g sunflower oil or neutral tasting oil (80克葵花籽油或中性口味的油)
110ml pandan juice (120 water + 40 grams pandan leaves) 110毫升香兰汁(120毫升水+40克班兰汁)
160g self raising flour (160克自发面粉)
20g corn starch (20克玉米淀粉)
6 egg whites (6粒蛋白)
1 tsp lemon juice (1茶匙柠檬汁)
90g caster sugar (90克细砂糖)

Hi, you can add 1 teaspoon baking powder if you use plain flour/all purpose flour. It's not really chiffon but very close. Chiffon cake texture is more light but this cake is easier to make than chiffon cake.
Ok I will try , so the amount of self raising flour substitute with plain flour and add bakign powder rite?maybe u can make marmer cake texture like this not so oily light cuz I Wes buy this cake near my house and I hope u can make bubur cha cha without coconut milk or cream cuz I Wes eat this with family is really nice but I don't how to make it 😋, the buburchacha soup not too liquid rather thick
@opposambas8642 yes just substitute the self raising flour with all purpose flour and baking powder.
@opposambas8642 good idea marble cake with light texture. As for bubur chacha need coconut milk cos without coconut milk not yummy. You can replace with light coconut milk if you don’t want it too thick
