I have to say that when I see the ads for Newfoundland I get so patriotic about the beauty of the place, and I live in Quebec City..... I have never been but I MUST visit. The place and the people..........thumbs up!
This video is abosuletly amazing and the quality of the video is very clear and colorful! Im also very proud of my cousin Susan and her Uncle Eli! Im glad I was up there before! :)
Beautiful video of an amazing part of the planet - I spent five years tracking after black bears on the tundra just south of what is now Torngat Mountains National Park, although some of the bears I worked on also made it up into the park. Absolutely stunning country with many moods and sometimes fierce winds. This video does a great job in capturing the essence of the land, wildlife, and people. Haven't been back since 1993 and this video really makes me want to make a trip!
This video ad series is fabulous. Makes me want to go there immediately! What a shame that Torngat, according to @theWorks333, is so expensive. I would go crazy with my cameras.
This video resonates with the Spirit of First Nations people all around the world. We must turn back to these ancient cultures in order to reconnect with the living spirit of Mother Earth & to give her the time & space to heal. Modern human beings are out of touch with the natural rhythms & cycles of Creation & the elements of Earth, Wind, Fire, Water & Sky. May Mother Earth, Brother Sun & Sister Moon and all life forms find peace, harmony & balance upon this precious spaceship, our home.
after the trip all over Newfoundland last summer.. i am so excited to announce- my next summer destination is- Torngat Mountains National Park.!! i am so impatient ! ! ! gotta be the best spot of stunning scenery yet . (and i've been to quite a few places all over the world.)
Newfoundland is a majestic place indeed! Just don't go there in winter :-) Oh, and the barbarians (Vikings) discovered the Americas long before Columbus guy.
@theWorks333 True, but this place - the one shown in this ad(Torngat) - is quite expensive due to lack of road access. It's about $5k and that's only when you fly from nearby provinces. I really want to go there, but the price tag makes me think of other places like Africa and do the safari tour instead.
Greetings from the Canadian WEST coast. I just heard about Windex Lake this week. Can't find any reference to its actual location. Would you supply some major landmarks to me so I can zero in on it? Tnx .gordon
i wanna go to torngat national park so badly. getting there is kind of though. i heard that there is a charter flight from nain. does anybody know how much such a flight costs?
I think it depends on what you fed your children's brain with. If they are getting more influences from Disney then taking them to this nice place is a waste of time. You really need to be older and appreciative of many aspects of the place and history to get something out of it.

I was so taken aback by this video when I saw it on the History channel. It may well be one of the best tourism commercials I have ever seen.
whoever does these ads for newfoundland does such a good job. every time i see one of them it makes me want to go there.
Spectacular!
... and another great Newfoundland and Labrador ad.
This one came on tv the other day and I just started bawling my eyes out. I miss Newfoundland.
You know these are simply the best tourism ads there are. Amazing! I want to go and experience it.
NL Tourism's ads keep getting better and better! Brilliant!
Whoever does your filmography 🎥 is amazing 🤩- proud to have moved to NL from Calgary
This is absolutely gorgeous...you actually feel the spiritual something through the commercial...its weird but so inviting. I definitely want to go..!
I am from Labrador and this video makes me home sick, for now we are in Calgary, where there isn't like that here. Love the video.
Outstanding commercial. So beautiful. Proud to be Canadian.
My Dad's on tv again! Isn't that AWESOME?!!! I'm so PROUD of him and my Cousin Susan :D Way to Go Guys!

I really want to visit Torngat National Park. I hope Newfoundland is advertising all over the world. These ads are incredible!

Eli L. Merkuratsuk, Susan Merkuratsuk-Panik of Jacko D. and Ben-Sue Merkuratsuk. Both From Nain Nunatsiavut, Late Summer of 2009.
A fun fact is that Newfoundland is the closest landmass to where the Titanic sank.

I was told that the film director or producer or what have you, was a big shot from Hollywood. Do you know his name?
Tuition fees in newfoundland are the lowest (or second lowest) in all of Canada. I might just go there to study. Beautiful place...
i wanna go to torngat national park so badly. getting there is kind of though. i heard that there is a charter flight from nain. does anybody know how much such a flight costs?
what are the best bars? sites? to go to in newfoundland?
What is the song in this video, and who is the artist?
Makes me proud ^_^
Thanks!
@FilmGeek44 Fred's Place. Liquor in front, poker in the rear.
What is the music track called?
The goal of my next 5 years of life is to camp two weeks in the Torngat Mountains.
If only it is not freaking expensive, I would have gone up there last month when I was in Gros Morne.
Ho.Le.Crap....I don't care what the cost, I must go there. That gave me chills...
Could anyone tell me where I can find this music?
Jesse Wighton I have exactly the same questions... such beautiful music
That was so dope except for the very very end where it says to call susan. It makes it sound like 5 people live there
when you come to Newfoundland/ Labrador we have a way of making you feel like family
Is it just me or everyone else wants to know this Susan?
wow just got themselves a tourist :D
Wow! They managed to shoot a whole commercial on one of the two days of the year that it was not raining here?
I would be very grateful if I were you. Here in Montreal we only get about ~12 days of precipitation a month... I love rain and snow.
480 resolution? Really? This should be 1080p Minimum, ideally 4K. Can't be bothered to watch it in such low resolution.
Well it's a video from 2010, though I'm sure you wouldn't understand that since you weren't born yet.
this is my friend true susan merkatsuk nain labrador
Where my ancestors are from. That's my dad and my cousin : ).
ROCK MUSIC
@ImmerWeddinger
lol, you don't visit Labrador to hang out in bars :)

Get Susan on the horn!
Shit, I better call Susan.
Please separate Newfoundland from Canada, Keep Labrador as a Canadian province.
@Seanothan22 She's a really nice woman. A bit chatty though.
stop shitting on disneyland. how did that even become such a big issue? the two places are so entirely different!
My parents took me there 2 years ago...lts say it was a waste of money. Id rather much have gone back to the homeland
