A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ RUclips. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of RUclips I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on RUclips won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This RUclips channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

Interesting tidbit….Lou says that when he was recording the vocal track, a beautiful woman showed up at the studio…and it inspired him as he sang…better than he ever did in rehearsals. Never met or saw the woman after that.
Being as you like the choir, please watch the actual official video, just for yourself (or you & your lovely wife). It shows the choir coming into the studio to join up with the band. You see the mutual respect flow between them & it's a beautiful thing!

Foreigner is one my favorite bands of all time. The have a great catalogue of music to get into. I would suggest listening to Urgent, Cold as Ice and Juke Box Hero to start with.

It's one of their best songs! I saw them in concert long ago and saw it done Live. They got one of the local church choirs to help out. You should watch the Original video for it. And the woman's voice who adds a bit here and there towards the latter part is - Patti Labelle. She was recording her own album in the same building as Foreigner and she popped in to say Hi and they asked her if she would add her flare to it. 😊

Few singers can match Lou Gramm, lead singer of Foreigner (who's from my hometown of Rochester, NY). They have so many good songs, as I'm sure others have mentioned like Urgent, Cold as Ice, Waiting for a Girl Like You, etc. You should also watch the official music video for this song, it's great.

The 80s hair bands was a majestic breed, my father showed me 80s music; I was born in 90’. Listen to Boston, scorpions, 38 special, Styx, RAT. Brotha I got you on the 80s hair bands. Foreigner was one of my favorite bands from the 80s.
Foreigner is a 70s band. Most of their amazing stuff came out in the 70s, during my high school days. Styx is also a 70s band. They're not hair bands but classic rock bands. Hair bands were the 80s. Glad you're into the music.

Yes. Many. They are the Dream Songs that "take you away" to your special place, where reality and fantasy come out to play together as the elves sing and the elder gods think deep thoughts.
The most recent one I've discovered is a performance by Angelina Jordan, when she was just 10 years old, that she performed as a "demo" at the request of the author of the song, without ever having heard anyone else's version: "I'm Still Holding Out For You." I've recently been listening to that song on repeat for days at a time.
U2 also released several songs with choirs on their songs. Still haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Where The Street Has No Name, When Love Comes to Town (recorded with B.B. King & choir), and With Or Without You. Aerosmith added Choirs during performances of: I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, Dream On, Steven Tyler even sang Amazing Grace with a children's choir.

This song was released in 1984. The video had Lou Gramm greeting the all black choir that sang with him in the last part (Right after he sings "Let's talk about love"). Granted, 1984 wasn't 1964, but it was still a major statement about inclusion without having to say a word about it.
