Damn it is so cool that Gameroom is getting publicity. They have been based out of Nebraska for a few years, & there in-person stores are extremely huge
Also a Nebraska local and I’ve been shopping at their physical locations for almost two decades now when they went under the Gamers name. Definitely recommend them
I'm wondering if dkoldies "free shipping" is just actually included in the price of each item, hence the extra $ 😆 pretty slick. I've ordered from them a few times until they sent me a fake nes cartridge, which ironically I learned how to tell it was fake from their TikTok videos. It didn't have the 2 stamped numbers on the back lol
As a local to gameroom I would reccomend them to anyone. Never bought anything from their online store since I'm a 10 minute drive away but I've seen them doing their thing for the past 10+ years since I was a kid
I was checking out this place today and it actually does have really good prices for everything they have. It's always the places that don't have all the clout on social media that actually have good prices for retro gaming

I just placed a pretty big order with these guys. Prices seemed good, as expected the rare games are still expensive but not as exaggerated as dk oldies I might make a unboxing/review video of my stuff when I get it to show the condition of how things arrived and what condition they are in etc

While this is miles better than DKOldies, can someone please explain why we still allow sellers to sell old games for $100+? I understand that they're "complete" but that shouldn't mean a game that was released 20+ years ago should cost may more than it ever did when it was still on shelves in the same condition if not better.

OMG Thank you so much I thought I was gonna have to buy stuff and console's at DKoldies with there prices being so high. You just saved me like over $1000 of dollers from DKoldies new subscriber 👍
This is Gameroom has actual brick and mortar stores in Omaha and Lincoln N.E. I've been to the one in Omaha N.E. It is a pretty decent store. I have been wanting to go to the Lincoln store but haven't made it out there yet. They just recently bought and reopened the Gamers stores in Fort Dodge and here in Des Moines, IA. I went to the DSM, IA store recently. They had just reopened and didn't have much of an inventory at that time. I haven't been able to get back over there yet. I have bought a few games from them and everything I have bought has worked perfectly.
Finally i found a online store with fair prices. Sadly i think i wouldn't be getting a game from them cause the game im looking for it's out of stock. Ill be checking them out, hopefully they get a copy of the game im looking for, thanks for sharing this page!
WOW. Ocariina of Time on Pricecharting, CIB has an estimated market value of $96.00 as of today. 116.00 is extremely reasonable in this market for a retailer. You can guarantee that those items are tested as well before selling it.
Definitely better than DKoldies, but they definitely have some stuff to work on. So many listings with no picture at all, and I did notice a few games that were absurdly priced. Most notable was a cart only copy of Pokemon Sapphire that looked like someone dug it out of the trash, and they're charging 33% more than what you can find on eBay in better condition. Just shop smart if you do go here.
@@ZackT9225 There are stores with stacks of them sitting at high prices. if those stores priced based on what the games would sell for there would be many more on the market and price would come down dratically.
You're not wrong, but that's not really my point on that particular listing. It's for a cart only copy of Sapphire that, like I said before, looks like someone literally dug it out of the trash, and they're charging about $120 for it IIRC. You can get a copy of Sapphire on other websites, including eBay, for $80 and it will almost certainly be in better condition. What you say is right, but that's only part of the problem. The bigger problem is places like this that see what the games are going for on eBay, and then try to mark them up even higher. There's no justification for it, and all it does is seek to further ruin the market for collectors and people wanting to play older games.
First-time viewer to the channel, and this video sure brought me back! My first and only console as a kid was the Atari 2600, and when I got that for Xmas in 1981, I was the king! I still have it and I bring it our for my young niece and nephew to play every Christmas!
I always used to buy Wii U and 3DS games and accessories from this store. It’s such an underrated retro store highly recommend to visit if you find yourself in downtown Lincoln NE!
I found fight quite a few gaps in their coverage. First what about their systems that aren't from any of the top five like ColecoVision, intellivision, astrocade, Odyssey 2, vectrex, turbografx-16 Neo Geo, 3DO, CDI, Xavix? Even with the established companies I know this looking through your video that they're missing one Nintendo system, the Virtual Boy, and one Sega system, the Pico. Also would 32XCD games be considered Sega CD games, 32X games or it's own category? Would Starpath Supercharger games be considered a separate category or under the 2600?
Prices seem fair but calculating shipping , give DKoldies the benefit of the doubt as they have the different options with or without manual, without a greatest hits is $99.99, which isn’t that far off plus free shipping . I couldn’t see how much they charge for shipping but it could end of being $10-20 to make the prices closer compared to free shipping and 1 year warranty for all items . You say the other store is complete but openly read that it doesn’t say that . I find that as scammy as dkoldies and as a purchaser I have to pay return postage? That makes no sense , mortal kombat trilogy was $98 not 34.80 so their photos are a scam as well. Problem is you are blindly browsing without looking. Dk is definitely more expensive but who is to say that the other store with its warranty and prices is not getting fakes and reselling them to unknowing consumers. I spent 5 minutes to debunk part of stuff you stated, I’m just asking you be more careful in your videos
Just tried to get DKOldies to price match - They said... "We do, but only with ourselves. If you purchase something for $19.99 and it goes down in price to $14.99, we refund the difference". Oh boy, they're in big trouble. I hope all the other tech tubers catch wind of this store and blow them up!
I'm a big BIG Silent hill fan and always have been. Collecting silent hill games is possible today as complete copies are still available which is good to know. Yet, for a person like me spending $200 or $300 dollars for that is still not possible, hopefully in future I will be able to buy them, hopefully they stay.
I bought an original Nintendo with a few games for around $50 a decade ago. Back then they actually refurbished it. Said they replaced a common component that goes out in them- sorry I can't remember what they replaced. I tore it apart at home and it was spotless. There was fresh solder in spots. Local fiends say they still have the same quality.
I landed a gorgeous CIB of Kuon for PS2 at the Grand Island location of Game Room! Granted I paid $850 for it but the grail of grails for PS2 doesn't come around often. As the saying goes : There is no place like Nebraska.
Update, the entire console section got cleaned by someone, someone even bought the atari shaguar that was selling for 1 million USD, 85 pages of consoles all sold out
You should have also mentioned some games are cheaper at DKOldies so the people actually do the research and it’s an honest review. And not just a complete rant on DKOldies. Don’t get me wrong I would shop DKOldies period cause I’m not supporting their outrageous prices. But some people may feel different about it.
They don't have Halo CE sadly but damn. Halo 2 (LIMITED EDITION mind you) for only 17$ and Morrowind with all DLCs for only 21$ is crazy low pricing for a CIB game. It will cost me a total of CAD 132$ and free shipping for 8 original xbox games I'm missing from my childhood. Not bad!
I found a great deal on a silver GBA on TIGR. $79. Seriously considering doing a solderless drop-in IPS screen mod that I saw Tito do on Macho Nacho Productions.
Just checked out the store. Most of the games people want across all platforms are sold out, haven't seen anywhere that says when products cycle back in stock.

Update, the entire console section got cleaned by someone, someone even bought the atari shaguar that was selling for 1 million USD, 85 pages of consoles all sold out
Great vid man, I Just subscribed 👍
Thank you for the information!! Much needed.
thanks for the info, definitely going to check them out
Im looking on the website all the specific games im looking for are always somehow out of stock
They doing international shipping or only North America?
I’m definitely going to check out this store!
pretty sure you're comparing USD to CAD
unironically thank you for finding this store i might buy some games from here too
is there any way to trade games for other games in this site?
Does anyone know it is good place to buy a ps3 I'm looking for a super slim model with a 500 gb
Do they have their own YT channel?
You should have also mentioned some games are cheaper at DKOldies so the people actually do the research and it’s an honest review. And not just a complete rant on DKOldies. Don’t get me wrong I would shop DKOldies period cause I’m not supporting their outrageous prices. But some people may feel different about it.
Very fair deals tbh. Exactly at market price or even lower! This game store is legit!
just amazes me with all these videos coming out about DK Oldies, that people are still buying there stuff
can someone explain how Parappa The Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy is sold out
Did someone already clean out the complete in box GBA or does this website straight up really only have cartridges
Wow....some of those prices are actually REALLY good deals like $116 for Zelda?! WHAT?!
They don’t have the right to put DK in front of their name.
So its called game room do they take orders around the world to?
