Since I started making these videos in 2017, I have been lucky enough to receive the support of some manufacturers with materials to use in my videos. Since May 2018, Chestnut Products have provided me with stains, an iridescent paints sample set, lacquers and waxes. I'd like to thank them for their kind and generous support. Martin Saban-Smith has provided me with a sample set of Intrinisic Colours.
All other products and tools, unless where indicated, have been bought from suppliers at retail prices. Products mentioned in my videos are for information purposes so that viewers know what I have used.
What you have managed to achieve and show us is a great effect, congratulations.
Thank you! I was pleased with this one! Glad you like it too.
Looks good Stewart.
Take care my friend
Cheers
Harold
Thanks, Harold! Glad you like it. Cheers!
Really nice texture and finish 👌, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching - glad you like it!
Very effective Stewart👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Glad you think so! Cheers, Alan!!
I like (!) the texture work you did here Stewart. GOOD JOB.
Cheers, Les - I was pleased with how this worked out!
Coooool Stewart really nice! 😃
Thank you! Cheers!
Enjoy your retirement! I retired almost 5 years ago and am really glad I did. So much fun learning how to turn and embellish.
Thanks, Greg...although I know it's happening at the end of next week, I will probably only believe it once it's happened...it's fair to say, I'm really looking forward to it! Glad your enjoying yours!!
Nice one !
Cheers, Allan! Glad you like it!
Happy retirement! You will now be busier than ever. Hope most of that busy goes to having lots of fun and many good experiences like creating this beautiful little bowl. The pearl plus metallic plus texture works very nicely. I have the 2” Merlin that I bought just because it is a whole lot safer than the big grinders. I find the 2” size as easy to use safely as a Dremel type tool. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, Valerie - I'm sure I will enjoy it...and I'm looking forward to more fun and experiments for sure. I like the small size of the Proxxon/Merlin. So much more maneuverable than an angle grinder sized tool.
What a lovely little bowl. As usual you’ve made a pretty piece that I causing me to think about spending more money. Thanks for sharing Stewart. Hope you enjoy your retirement parties.
You’re welcome, Doug...sorry if it dents the wallet too much!
@@stewartfurini it’s all good mate!
Great effect Stewart, love to see more of your experimentation with different colours and waxes on that texturing.
Thank you, Stuart! This was fun to do. Glad you liked it. Cheers!
Looks great, Stewart. Again, I don't think it's a problem when you cut through the edge.
Bill
Thanks, Bill - maybe on this one a couple more cuts through the outer rim would make it look more like it was intended...
Very cool 😎 I love how classy it looks with the color in the center
Thanks, Angie! I was pleased with this one and will do some variations soon!
Great work as always
Thank you, Sam!
Looking great
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Jude! Cheers!!
Liked the texturing, those proxons are very good with multiple cutters. Not keen on the red, though it looked good on the video.
Cheers, John....on this one I think the video footage actually showed the red better than the still images....tempted to do a blue one...
Hey Stewart. I once compared this video with one from 2017. You don't look a day older, how do you do that? Is there an app for this? But I assume you're on the blue pills, right? Ok, joking aside. Very nice again, your performance. I learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for that, but... I would have liked to know the recipe for gray hair. Greetings from Northern Germany from Schorschi, take care and stay healthy!!!!!!
Hi Schorschi - you are great for my ego....if I don't look a day older, I feel a decade older!!
The bowl looks great Stewart.
That cutter made light work of the texturing.
Where did you get it and how much are they?
Also where did you get that stiff cup brush from please.
Great video and enjoy the parties.
Take care Stewart.
Cheers, Huw
Thank you, Huw! It cuts like a dream...it's not cheap though: www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/manpa-tools/ It's the 2 inch triangular one...and the bristle brush was liberated from the kitchen years ago....can't remember where it came from! Sorry!!
@@stewartfurini Thank you Stewart
@@stewartfurini Just looked and am having another senior moment 🤣🤣
I looked everywhere to purchase that cutter. Would you be good enough to point me in the right direction.
Hi Graham...here's a link www.chainsawbars.co.uk/product-category/manpa-tools/
Ordered. Will be very careful with fingers. But Im very accident prone.
I like the look of those non-wax waxes. I'll have to take a look at them. BTW, the wax tin fumbling was clearly because you were using a tool some people consider unsafe. 😛Speaking of unsafe, retirement parties are notoriously dangerous. People tend to over indulge and that just isn't healthy!
Haha....thanks, Bill. I know, what was I thinking, trying to hold 3 things at once with only two hands. I should be taken off air!
Why do so many wood workers think they are actors? Just show us your ideas and stop trying to look like Tom Cruise,
Thanks for commenting, KC! Guess there is a bit of 'performer' vibe in some of my videos!
