Great story! I lived on the island as a kid and I remember being told that there are no elk on the island. You could hear them and people had pictures, but the funny thing was when the published 911 calls came out in the paper and weird calls of giant dear or otherworldly animals were reported. There is definitely no place on earth like Whidbey and the people that live there.

The island wildlife department should have gone to bring two or three more of whidbeys to avoid him being lonely 😢😂😢😂❤
