Lala Musa is a city near to Gujrat city of Pakistan in Punjab province mian ji restaurant is famous for mash daal and mixed daal it's favour is out of this world whenever we go to Gujrat we eat it with naan salad and raita it's also not very expensive as compared to it's taste
Yup, this daal was so popular in our neighbors home back in the 80s-90s. They were a Muslim fam. I make this dal a lot. They used to make safed urad dal as well. I try it too and it’s delish. One daal by itself that I’ll never like is Chana daal 😂
I am a vegetarian and tasted lots of variety of daal, and I made this recipe today, trust me I never had any daal like this. It turned out to be truly delicious and the best part is it has very less ingredients and so simple to make.
Although it is not 100% authentic. though he added few things for the taste to nourish the Indian taste buds accordingly. maybe because he understands the thing so he did it in his own way. Firstly the proportion of lentils isn't accurate. 2nd no red chilli powder or flakes. Thirdly cumin and black pepper weren't sauteed in desi ghee before adding in to the mixture. But hats off to chef who presented it very well. If you are a vegetarian and would like to try such innovative Pakistani 'daals & sabji's" there are a lot more recipes like such. Do try these as well you'll definitely like these too. Not everyone in Pakistan is 'mansahari'. And yes there are hotels where they serve non vegetarian food.😊

Hi again tonight…..tried this dal…added less ghee..but result is amazing…while eating added some fried onions, Julian ginger and a dash of lemon…tasted almost like haleem(off course minus chicken)..thank you once again 🙏🙏

In my family we prepare a similar type of (dal) recipe, last 3 to 4 generations with a combination of dhuli urad and chana dal and called that "kyuti daal" extremely delicious.. a thick daal cooked on low flame, flavoured with a balanced amount of adarak-lahsun-brishta -hing and generous amount of ghee..its heavenly delicious with any type of Indian chapati 👌😋👍

This dal..I have known and have been cooking since 6 years. This exact dal is cooked in Andhra Pradesh & Odisha border regions. The difference is they don't add dahi, use khada lehsun, and long dry chilli.

I'm a nutritionist and I know the science behind using multiple pulses. Multiple pulses mean a close to lean source of protein ( 8aminos acids). My mom used to cook multiple pulses. That thickness makes pulse rich. 🥰 Taste (Saturation) from ghee. In the winter season, "Pnumona", we have to use it with clove, garlic, 🧄, pepper which makes body heat. I tried this with 4 pulses and it was good (complete aminos). Love from my family!❤️

This dal..I have known and have been cooking since 6 years. This exact dal is cooked in Andhra Pradesh & Odisha border regions. The difference is they don't add dahi, use khada lehsun, and long dry chilli.
What is it called in Telugu ?

I'm a nutritionist and I know the science behind using multiple pulses. Multiple pulses mean a close to lean source of protein ( 8aminos acids). My mom used to cook multiple pulses. That thickness makes pulse rich. 🥰
Taste (Saturation) from ghee. In the winter season, "Pnumona", we have to use it with clove, garlic, 🧄, pepper which makes body heat.
I tried this with 4 pulses and it was good (complete aminos).

Lahori paneer me badhiya checkan test ata hai. Lekin Lala musha dal me vaisa checkan vala test nahi tha.
