This is why Dave's Auto Center is so popular, a great business run by a good man. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my Ram to your shop.
Appreciate the confidence, will seek to live up to it 👍
My Ram is there now. Drove it to Dave’s from Las Vegas. Can’t wait to pick it up this week.
@@vbar66l93 Howdy neighbor! Just commented a few seconds that he has me down here in Boulder City/ Lake mead as a future client for my Ram 3500.
When does the show on Discovery come out? Or did that not work out? I told all my non internet friendly relatives about this content. Great Video!👍🏻🇺🇲
@@ZMAN_420 That would be awesome. I’d watch that for sure
The incredible way you treat your employees trickles down to how your customers are treated. The more videos I watch, the more I like this channel.
Wow, thank you!
THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH DAVE'S VIDEOS IS THAT THERE ARENT MORE EVERY WEEK!! Love the content! keep up the great work! God Bless!
Thank you for collaborating with us on this channel. Please let us know of any specific videos or content that you are interested in seeing in the future and we will do our best to include it. Have an awesome day.
Id love to see the hemi truck full build!@DavesAutoCenterCenterville
@@DavesAutoCenterCenterville can you do a video on the new Duramax 3.0 diesel engines. Covering reliability if you’ve seen them in your shop, recommended maintenance, how long should you warm it up/cool down after driving. These are becoming very popular given the fuel economy for a midsize truck (25-30mpg). Thank you for all you do
HE'LL YEA BRÖTHER
@@MoonGoonz I second this one!
Young mechanic has a proud Dad I can guarantee! Nice work young man. Well done
You are a perfect example of how a business should be run God Bless you and your family 🙏
waarom moeten jullie er altijd god bijhalen, wij in het oosten (west-europa) weten ondertussen dat ze ons al een paar honderden jaren aan het belazeren waren
I have learned so much from Dave's employees and I just maintain my own fleet vehicles. Mechanics like this are a dying breed, truly.
Those folks are who make the world go around, NOT politicians and bureaucrats
Politicians and bureaucrats only get in the WAY of good people !
you need both, every country has hard working smart people like this. The difference is their government is scamming them instead of other countries in their benefit
More shop owners , mechanics, shop foremen, and customers should watch these videos. This is how a shop should be run. This is how customers should be spoken to. Mechanics should take some pride in there work. I'm a shop foreman and I try and get my mechanics to realize the customer is putting there lives in our hands. No matter if it's an oil change to brake job, or something bigger. Awesome video. I've done 2 cp3 conversions on LMLs and used the same company for kit. Recommend highly.
Dave is awesome! I have learned to pick up tips here and there. I love how he motivates his team and always lets them know how good they are Instead of discouraging them like I have seen from other people. I also love how he takes the time to talk to his customers and ask them questions and also explain. I never thought I would get hooked on any one RUclips channel but I here I am now. Love the whey they all work together and motivate each other. Awesome Channel.
So many green flags in one video on how to run a business.
From the way he treats his employees, the way he treats his customers, and the way he treats his customers vehicles.
Top notch!
You learn from your mistakes. It is a great way of learning.
Exactly 👍 can’t learn if you don’t make mistakes 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The young mechanic is a very nice guy 😊🧡👍🏻
Sometimes it seems Dave gets impatient and annoyed with him compared with other employees.
This man and his people and family are the best at repairing vehicles this is why that they are so popular
Dude believes in the right thing. Bro I love there videos to bro and they all got knowledge in something that sets them apart
Also love the way they quiz them
Hey Dave! Just a thought about the Veteran's and thanking them for their service. Also, and especially a Vietnam Veteran, welcome them home as well. You were growing up at the time, pre teen, and saying, "Thank you for your service to our country, and welcome home, Sir/Ma'am!" That is the best thing they would love to hear. I almost had a Vietnam Veteran in tears because he hadn't heard that phrase in so many years, and coming from me who was only 30 yrs old as well. Back in the late 60s and 70s they weren't appreciated or welcomed back, and when they got back on bus or plane they were greeted with anti-war protestors. I'm also not saying any of this to be offensive to your staff or family or you Dave, I love your videos and I'm so happy to have found your channel. You say you love to learn things everyday, as I learn things from you every new video; so that just a thought to you as well Dave, Thanks and I'm glad this Vet made it home safe.
DAVE, I WISH THE REST OF THE AUTOMOTIVE WERE AS DILIGENT, HONEST and HONORABLE as you, your workers and your FAMILY, GOD BLESS, 🇺🇸 (as soon as I save up some more lemons (💵 lol) I’ll mosey on down to Utah for a repair of one of my vehicles! You guys are the best!
You run a great shop and have great standard operating procedures (SOPs). Nice Job Dave.
I always save the little plastic caps and plugs that come on different parts to use to seal things off when I’m taking things apart. It’s so much easier to throw a plug in a hole than try to fish out a chunk of shmoo that fell into a hole that should have been covered 👍
Great tip!
Finger tips of nitrile gloves work great also.
Totally agree Dave, I try to drive any slightly complicated job home, it's the best way to "prove" your work!!
Get you one of those top side creepers.. just be careful.... After lunch break, they cause sleepiness and are also great to nap on! Lol! Great job and keep up the good work!
Learned a ton from this channel that I’ve used in my own line of work. Thanks Dave
Great to hear!
Someone once said your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment. Dave, from watching your channel, I can tell that your customers get what they pay for and more. Love the videos. There are very few shop owners that do business the way your family does. Great to see it.
Dave, you are a template for other mechanics that have not reached your level to emulate. And a very high level you have attained, I wish there were more as good as you are sir. God bless you and all of yours.
This Content is just Next Level! For some reason I just can't get enough.👍🏻🇺🇲
My hands have touched that FASS box since I'm the UPS guy that picks those FASS pkgs up in Missouri.
There should be a larger class action against the big 3 for using the CP4 knowing it is a deliberate failure using north American diesel.
Did you find anything else ?? Great question Dave knows how to see and Prevent problems . Great Info always here . thank you Dave and crew
FASS is really great! We got bad fuel at Walmart prompting us to buy thr FASS. We put a FASS on our Freightliner and it has tremendously help polish the fuel and clean the fuel for clean diesel to the injection system.
You guys are the best of the best. The care and customer service is above and beyond any other I have encountered.
Great work as always! We're proud to have you representing!
As a one armed black trans midget, I finally replaced my CP4 pump thanks to this invaluable guide thanks Daddy dave Xoxo
That's alot of boxes to check right there congrats on being you
@@davewilson7120thank you its a tough life making a living as a mobile mechanic
What does that have anything to do with this ?
That's a very good question sit and Ponder and then spin okay
You missed the Olympic Intro.
Good job Kaden! 👍
Coming from central IL, if my ram ever needs an engine I will either buy a monster engine or ship the entire truck to you guys. You won’t find a better run, more trustworthy shop.
I wish more people would teach there employees like you.
Been watching alot of his videos lately, He says he admires Steve Morris which is cool, but Dave's content is more for the average guy/ gal. Pretty cool to see the in depth care they put into their content and craft.
If only all of us mechanics had a boss like Dave...
Hola 👋 señor Dave!! You guys having fun with those 350 earth destroyer trucks 😂😊
I am going to take my van to this shop for a major maintenance by the end of the year - 2022 Ford Transit 350 AWD HR.
After these videos, I’m not surprised people are bringing their trucks from all over the country.
Hopefully he can keep up the great work with the higher demand
It’s hard to find honest good business owners but Dave Mets all the specs!!! Continues to impress me!!!❤
Thank you for taking a moment to recognize the veterans. I went in a navy right after Vietnam and we were not treated very well. There used to be signs that said sailors and dogs keep off the grass. Hope our nation has come further and taking care of veterans, but if you read any of the stories about Project 2025 and what the Republicans want to do is scary. Bless you and your family Dave the world needs more people like you.
So annoying people just can't keep politics out of wonderful stories like this. Sad you bought into the propaganda narrative that project 2025 is part of the future of America...good grief.
Thank you for your service. Veterans and military personnel deserve our praise and respect for their sacrifice. 🇺🇸
Dave’s mechanics are artist…
Brilliant as always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Thank you! Cheers!
Dave, i have to be very impressed before i subscribe. this video did it! That young gun, is top of his game! i appreciate the mother fix!
Just found your channel, i can't stop watching your stuff!
Love how thorough and meticulous this shop does their work. On a side note, am I the only one who hates where these fuel systems get mounted? It must not happen that often, but the low slung filters hanging outside of the frame rail looks very susceptible to road debris or being otherwise ruined by unforseen issues that might not disable a truck with a less vulnerable fuel delivery situation.
Man I would definitely drive to Utah to have work done by Dave and team to my 6.7 power stroke their are top tier engineers/mechanics
If I ever can afford a diesel truck. I will definitely be bringing it to you guys for work.
Great example of what a mechanic shop should be like
He can also work on gasoline and prophane cars, I think.
Unless you’re towing HEAVY often over long distances, I’d recommend staying away from diesels. They are MASSIVE headaches. This truck has only 85,000 miles and the owner is already spending countless thousands of dollars to upgrade parts. Modern diesels are not reliable at all. I got a new Super Duty with 7.3 gas engine. Simple and plenty powerful. I’ve towed 12,000 pounds with zero issues.
@@cliffordmontana45627.3 is having all kinds of lifter and cam issues as well. This upgrade was to simply get rid of a fuel pump that’s a ticking time bomb. For 85k miles that engine actually looked really clean.
@@pnwdweler4100 You can get a new crate engine 7.3 gasser for 8k. Injectors alone on a Powerstroke costs more than that. Diesels are powerful but the new ones are needlessly complex, finicky, and unreliable. Just looking under the hood is scary. And I’m not anti-diesel. I have a Kubota tractor/backhoe, a Perkins diesel wood chipper and a 1998 Ford Bucket truck with a 5.9 12v Cummins.
I like the way it sounded with the wires crossed.
Dave, such a gentleman.
This is the same 2 upgrades I need to do to my LML
Yep, me too.
Me 3 🤦
Idk how TF they did this without taking the fan, radiators, power steering, alternator, etc, etc. you dudes are KING! I NEVER wanna do that again.
Dave has the highest integrity for his business. I’m sure their culture bleeds these essential values. I believe these ethics are rooted in god and the proof is in the pudding. Our country is getting back to unity and I am excited to see leaders like Dave helping to steer us in the correct path.
Shops with integrity like this are hard to find!
i watch your videos all the time, just wish you were located in florida, i watch and learn from your videos, thanks
Nice work, young man!
Nice work. Great crew
I just went through that last year. ITS A BITS on the DMax. Then after the FASS I developed a leak on I’m hoping the return line bc that’s the only problem I seen but if you’re following a fuel leak, when you take your EGR cooler off. CATCH THE COOLANT! I drenched the valley and couldn’t follow the leak.
I love your channel and I look forward to the upcoming 2023 Cummins tear down.
The BEST!👍
I did the DCR conversion on my Ford.
I just had this done under recall on my 2019 ram 3500. Factory cp4 did 218k miles. Figured I better get it done before it caused big problems
Love the channel Dave!
My cp4 exploded at 120k … 12k dollars later with a cp3 conversion!
Sorry to hear that
Mine just exploded !!! 49K miles 😂
@@5pntslowst good luck my friend! Do the conversion !
Im at 140 k on my 2011 searra
Im fully deleated tho with a fass
It’s wild that with a lot of tech for cars nowadays, the upgrade is to revert to an older system, or rip certain systems out entirely…
i thought i had the dreaded LS cam chirp from watching your videos. long story short had my power steering worked on the ac belt came off and days after putting it back on i had the chirp. my ac went flat and i’m a hvac contractor, that’s another video, anyway i put half the amount of oil in the system called for and the chirp has completely gone away. wasn’t my intention i planned on you rebuilding my 8.1. you will someday just later than i planned.
I deleted my LML got rid of all the bill crap egr and other junk. Put in fass 165 lift pump too. Only thing I’ve yet to do is the CP3 conversion.
I need to do it all.
Beautiful truck !
Beautiful Work Keep it Up
wow you would think them connectors would not cross like that
I've had the fass pumps cause failure too because of places changing the filters and not making sure the fast pump is primed. I like to use a vacuum extractor to pull the fuel through the test port on front of the engine then run the pump and pump out a gallon or two to get it to prime good
Gotta make damn sure the fass pump is primed filling the filters isn't enough, the method mentioned above is the best way I've found
You guys do the catastrophic kit with the bypass plate and filter on return ?
They vary in price but alot less parts and labor more affordable for the average customer.
Great video Dave
Simply the best
Ya Beck chev in yonkers just did my engine replacement bec of lifter failure. On the test drive the truck caught fire and burned to a crisp. I am out about 50 gs in loan etc... only got fair market value from my insurance and now I own a ford expedition.
It sure would be nice if you guys did a collab with the power driven diesel guys. You guys could build a monster cummins and dyno it. I would be willing to lend my 5.9 12v to the cause...
that fuel filter was made in albion Illinois i use to make the shell for them
I love my duramax
Yup, those japanese diesel are durable.
California doesn’t have safety inspections like Utah does! I live in California but grew up in Utah! I still have a brother that lives in Layton!
No more required safety inspections.
You are a good man
Suicide knobs are illegal in a lot of states
Awesome video, thank you Dave
I appreciate the way you worked with the technician and took the issue as a learning experience rather than a butt chewing. Everyone makes mistakes, the good technicians fix them before they are a problem. Your interaction with the customer and technicians should be something everyone strives for. Thanks Dave
I can't wait for your show to air on Discovery Channel. Great work by the best techs in the industry! God bless you and your family Dave. BTW how much would a job like this cost on this job? I'd drive from Maine to get this type of quality and service work!
Great job sir 😊
Awesome man ! Too bad you’re not closer! I could use your help!
When they replaced my cp4 with the cp3 in my 2019 ram I could feel the differences.
Dave, I’ve stumbled across your channel and have been addicted to watching your videos. I watched a video where you stated the coolant bypass on the 6.7 Cummins is bad, you mentioned you were gonna tell how to fix the number 6 cylinder, but I cannot find your fix.
Great videos, enjoy them all. I’m sure Tech did… first crank seemed long, was FASS fully primed & purged of air?
Was there a gain for the FASS pump vs the FASS Drop-in Filter kit if low pressure pusher was in good shape?
Interesting, 2 days for the CP4 to CP3, what’s a Ford 6.7 CP4 to DCR take with all the extra steps for conversion… 3 Days?
Hard to beat a fass, even harder to beat the filters!
i would drive from Va to have a vehicle worked on here.
You are the best of the best.
Still rocking my cp4 in my 16 LML. Lift pump, regular changing of filters and fuel additive with lubrication is the key to not grenade. Out of curiosity how much should a cp3 conversion cost? Also Airdogs new generation of lift pumps are supe Easy to install on a lml.
I would like to know also on the cost
Mistakes happen for sure, i remember an engine swap on some Asian car. There was about 5 piugs that you could plug in wrong. 3 of the plugs were rite next to eachother.👍🏻🇺🇲
Love your channel!! I have a new 2024 GMC 3500 Duramax and want to add the drop in FASS system; however, i also run hot shot secrets everyday fuel additive and am concerned that additive will just block the 2 micron FASS filter like the water does. Is there any testing done to show the additives actually get past the FASS system and into the engine? This would be a great video to actually test this to prove it... there is ZERO info on this that i can find.
S&S has new DCR pump out replacing cp4.
That new fuel system with dual filters is cherry man ! Do the filters have different micron levels ? Primary and secondary filters ?
please explain what spring to cut and how to cut it to get correct fuel pressure to the cp3. I'm doing this exact upgrade.
I have an lml gotta have it done
Is "lml" stand for lemon law.
Dave you and the Mrs needs a “Dave’s Mrs’” Bed and Breakfast to support all those diesel repair out of towners. 😊
Update on Lamborghini you said you would provide. Thank you
