This video is a house tour of the place I stay in Bangalore. I'm a software developer working in Bangalore for the past 18 months and though it would be good to share a room tour of the place.

P.S. - The rent is split between 3 roommates.

That's a normal rent rate being paid by a bachelor over here. The rent would be for a 3bhk and you pay only your share which is one third of the amount.

This house makes his money look cheap
We stay in 2bhk which is pretty big and rent is 10k... our overall budget for a month is 50k and we are leading a luxurious life , that also includes our EMI and savings.. I was like shocked as hell after I heard 55k rent... but gave me a point to think of buying our own house because in future rent might rise here too...

Last time I saw Harkirat, he was working at Goldman Sachs Bangalore. GS hires analysts from IITs and gives a CTC of 31.5 Lpa, which translates to around 170k per month post tax for the first year. So yeah, 55k/3 is not too much of a damage.
Iitd Junior but the basic is around 14lkh in hand around 95k

Opportunities are less in Bangalore for software development because it's totally occupied by IIT Ian's , NITians and elite college grads compared to United States where opportunities are more in terms of internship and software jobs. But studying in U.S for MS will cost a lot without scholarship.

Bro i will suggest to add IITian House or may be something like settled software engineer because i dont feel this is generic for all software engineer people will be having high expectation but we all know reality how we stay and how most of the software engineer stay.

My office is in Yemlur as well and I live only 4KM away from office. I have my own 2BHK adjacent to the main road and I pay 40K pm EMI. So yeah, 55K rent is pretty huge and not worth it.

Sorry, but this place looks so poor: cracked floor, dirty walls, cheap appliances and materials. I feel so bad for all the folks in the comments saying this is luxury. Man, you need to move outside of India. With your knowledge you'll be able to afford a way better life. And apartment :) Didn't mean to offend anyone, just wanted to share a different perspective.

Bro, his current salary is 5 crore per year, plus income from his RUclips platform and his courses, which cost around 6k per student. Nearly 50,000 students might have bought his courses (he has 4 courses currently, and 3 or 4 more courses are about to be released, each priced at 6.2k)

He studied the highest paid degree that's CSE from IITR So probably he makes more than 60 lakhs anually so 55k is enough for him as compared to his salary .

an avg cse grad from iit will ATLEAST gwt 18 to 20 lakh ctc
and a great one will get ctc of 28-35 lakh
few genuis will get above 40 lakhs
But some companies like nk securities(that hire only from top iits) give over 1 crore package to freshers(u get mostly in cash not stocks...around 70 lakh base pay rest is bonus depending on your performance)!!!!!!!!
