6 step long jump. Working on getting height.
4 step triple jump working on making the first two phases low and fast, trying to get faster vs. losing speed throughout the jump.
Sprinting could use some help. landings also need help, and I'm also overrated on the first half of the jump. I still need to do a lot of work.
I love how aggressive you are on those transitions in your Triple Jump Man!
For weight training, you need a combination of training for strength and plyometric training. For weights you can do Snatch, hang snatch, cleans, hang clean, squat, do depth jumps, bounds, if you want to work on your form i suggest you get a camera and watch yourself on film, it makes a big difference. Also do a lot of core hanging leg raises and working out with an ab roller are probably to two best core exercises you can do and also be sure to do superman for your lower back. Good luck
I did 45'03 at a 8 step you're really strong
48'8 I'm not very fast =(
What board did you jump from
Your video is an inspiration. Truly always put God first. I've always jumped in long jump trusting myself and not God. And now I see why I don't jump far even though I work harder than anyone on my long jump team. Thanks man.
Get on youtube and look up "High Jump Coaching with Hollis Conway" this video is for high jump for the take off for long jump and high jump are practically the same. In both jumps all you want to do is jump straight up and accelerate through the take off. For drills i think that the best drills are in the weight room. olympic lifts teach your body to be more explosive. If you got any more questions, don't hesitate to ask
stay straight at the landing, dont go on the side...I draw 2 big lines in the sand right in the middle of the pit, if i dont land in it (completely, not the feet in and my butt or upper body out) I do burpees. it is so easy to simply let yourself fall on the side. But its prescious distance you lose everytime, 20 to 50 cm easilly.
@ezoen Holy shit dude ur just like me, if not a little bit better, im slow as shit too, my PR is 47 '3 u culd look me up on athletic.net (Apeti Adadevoh) .. bro where do u triple jump at, ur a GREAT jumper man, id like sum tips on getting my long jump form nd speed better, and also sum tips on getting my first phase and last phase of triple jump better with form, and triple jump speed keeping the knees up,. Any drills or anything like that u can tell me? i'd appretiate it bruh. Keep it up mayne
slow down focus on your form don't worry about distance.136 jumps no foul ralph boston he knew the key was no fouling a foul is a wasted jump you can not get back.relax and have fun you look good in practice transfer that over to game day.is this social networking i love you dad.
shorten your approach concentrate on your form your form is much better with the short approach.you have the ability to go past 50 but only with great form.jump the same way as on the video and you will have coach playing that game and your dad crying with joy.slow down technique is everything.get first jump in then step up your game.

How the hell do you jump 45 on a 4 step approach?!?!?! I just like 41 feet on full approach?? any specific lifts or training?
Hi there. If you're goal is height on the long jump takeoff, you may want to work on your penultimate to takeoff transition.
Train hard and be better than me ;)
yoo you are amazing and blessed and i can't wait to get as good as you
thx =D
Work hard man,
Thank you =D
thx
good stuff, keep it up.
That verse of scripture tho
what weight lifting workouts do you do?
This got hyped to workout!
how far is your PR?
great 2nd phase!
God damn
very good
Nice video man!
For your runway... try not to lean forward. Keep your upper body over your center of mass. For long jump... you want to go up & not out like the triple jump so drive the knee of the swing leg upward!! And for the long jump.. the last stride MUST be short and quick... you're too long. You want your foot to plant to be DIRECTLY under you for take off. You're a GREAT jumper.. keep it up.
For the triple he only had 4 steps... When a triple jumper goes from such few steps it is almost guaranteed that 9/10 a good jumper will lean the torso forward to try to get a form of momentum going. As for the long jump the plant foot actually should NOT BE DIRECTLY under, but rather slightly forward as he performed...
Very interesting how you do the triple jump bounds with a double arm swing and the long jumps with a single arm swing.
