Every time you two go quite its usually something major like the deaths of Dillon, Shaun's dad, Covid and you wonder why we worry about you. I don't even know you and I worry!
So glad you have recovered. I’m sure everyone was as worried for you as I have been. I’m sure all those who offered suggestions or advice were just so concerned about what you were going through. You probably don’t realize how much both of you have become dear friends to us. Take care! ❤
Welcome back on YT guys. Colin your experiences with that kidney stone made me think back to my days as a qualified and registered radiographer. Part of my job was to operate our sound wave stone crusher. We crushed kidney stones or gallbladder stones with very powerful focused soundwaves, and the debris could just be peed out and the patient could avoid a major operation, just like you! It was one of my favorite modalities in the ward. All it took to relieve a patient's pain and ailments was a skilled urologist and a skilled radiology technician (me!).
I'm glad you're back to your normal self again and I'm looking forward to your next vlogs.
Hurray!! So lovely to see u both and to hear that your health now much improved. As a nurse of 37 years thankyou for your continued ringing endorsement of the healthcare that is provided in this country, usually by experienced professionals who sacrifice their own health and well being in order to care for those that need it!
Really looking forward to all the new vlogs and adventures. You really bring a lot of joy and general silliness certainly to this old gal! 🤣
Thanks v much xx🐾
I don't think I would know what to say if my patient wanted to take his stent home and feature it in a vlog... I love it!
There's nothing else to watch that comes anywhere near The Foxes. So happy for you that all is well ❤️
I, personally, think informing people about what happened is very helpful; it takes away some of the fear and mystery about what our bodies do.I kept my friends and family informed about what happened with my heart so they know what to look out for. So glad you are doing well. Take care of yourselves my friends. Don't apologize for missing a few weeks--shit happens.
So very glad you’re healed and feeling well! As others have said, if you two are quiet, something serious is afoot. When people care about others, they worry about them. You both need to know how much we all care about you!❤️
OMG, Colin!!! I can't believe this whole painful ordeal you've had to endure! I am SO HAPPY you've had a successful outcome & now you & Shaun can carry on with your lives! Take care & get a lot of rest! Sending love and hugs & big cuddle for Otis!❤🐕❤
so happy to see you back up and in good health Colin & the relief for Shaun that you’re back on your feet again ❤❤❤
Breaks my heart to hear that you suffered so much. Good health from here on!
So glad you are feeling better. We do worry about you two but don’t fret about missing vlogs. Just take care of yourselves!!
Glad you are back and well, Colin and Hi Shaun, you sure do have to be strong to support Colin with the health issues of late. Take car, boys.
You’re back!!!! It’s so wonderful to see you both looking great, and Colin free from pain! Take care and have a great week. Blessings
So good to know you’re fit and well. So, no worrying, Colin and enjoy the winter with lovely Shaun. I must add, as you did; from experience, when living on Skye, Raigmore is a fantastic hospital (and Aberdeen) which serves the whole of the Highlands and outer Islands including Shetland and Orkney! Wonderful NHS.
Good to see your back home with a smile on your face , I've had a similar experience having a tube yanked out of my " disco stick " but mine was after heart surgery , but as I was off my face on tramadol at the time I never felt a thing 😁 .
Take care lads .
🎉So glad they got you sorted out and that you are feeling well now!
Now I have a vision of you slapping your disco stick firmly (pun intended) implanted in my brain. So so sorry you two endured all that and glad to see you back to your jolly selves
I’m an ex-urology theatre nurse and can very much relate to your situation. My wife has had about 4 sessions of lasertripsy and she is extremely sensitive to stents….no fun at all. Glad your disco stick has recovered.
Happy to see you back up Colin. Have a good week and stay healthy.
So good to see you both again and to hear that your ordeal is now over Colin. It must have been a worrying time for Shaun and Otis . . . and an agonising time for Colin; but onwards and upwards to happier times. Take care and look after each other. xx
Glad you have everything sorted Colin 🎉
So pleased you are on the mend. You and Shaun have been missed. Fun Fridays are back!
Good to see you home safe, Colin. You worried us all half to death. And I can’t imagine what it did to Shaun. Stay safe, both 💋.
Great to see you both looking healthy and happy
One of my sayings is “Always maintain your sense of humor.” You two do that exceptionally well. Thanks for the update, yes, add me to the list of those who worry.
Ooh Colin, you had me wincing so much watching your video. So happy for you that you are now rid of the pain. Thanks for the NHS shout out, my daughter is a doctor and is amazing and so dedicated, but they are all working under difficult conditions xx
So happy you’re ok! Not happy you’ve had all that pain . Welcome home and enjoy ‘normal’. Lol😂😂😂
I am so embarrassed to say I laughed until I cried about your "horror story." I am so thankful you are doing well. I missed y'all so very much. I have a sure-fire way to take care of any future problems - add a little water to your Scotch. Hugs to you both! Becky W.
bloody hell 😳 painful am glad that you are better now. and thanks for putting me off fishing for life 😱👍👍
Your health comes first ..... it's nice to see you are better and back making vlogs
I’m glad you have good doctors to help you. I hope you two can get on with life now! Enjoy Scotland!
Glad your back and feeling better!!! I 've had those kidney stones and they are no fun!! Like giving birth through your you know what!!!! Looking forward to your next vlog!!
OMG How hysterical!, Having been through the process I appreciate your explanation and candid visualizations. I am so glad you are far enough on the other side to share and find humor in the entire process!
Glad to see you back and in better health! I agree thanks NHS, overworked and underpaid!
You were missed. Glad you are back and ready to tackle those most important jobs as chief navvie, and bee keeper, and cackleberry harvester, and sheep sheerer. Hope to see you again making my Fridays better. Love you both!
You won't get too wet Colin, you are wearing super dry. Bless you Colin, glad the stone got vaporised. Yes drink plenty. They do say lemon water every morning is good. I was a nurse in urology for many years, so know what discomfort you've been through. Fingers crossed no more boulders appear. 🙃🧐
It sounds like you’ve had a terrible time. I’m glad you’re on the mend and look forward to the new vlogs. Cheers both.
So glad you’re on the mend. I suffered a catheter for two weeks after my prostatectomy, and I could barely walk for the irritation. I cannot imagine how horrible cheese wire would have been. 🥵. Huzzah for the NHS!
Kidney stone,😳the worst pain I ever had!
Ended up in A&E on morphine.
After muscle relaxant drugs it started to move, and I had to wee into a tea strainer to make sure it had passed.😁
I still use the tea strainer when the mother in law visits.🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Disco stick 😂😂😂😂. I’m laughing and crying. Glad you’re ok now.
So glad it’s over, and you are home where you belong. Let the adventure continue. ❤
So sorry about the pain Colin, but the video and explanation was really interesting. 🙂
Oh gosh...I'm so sorry for all you've gone through. You have nothing to apologize for...stay well, God bless...
So pleased you're better and man, what an experience. The only thing I'd prescribe is lots of love and cuddles from Shaun and Otis but I can see from social media that you're already working on that one! I hope too with all the worry and stress of the last weeks that you BOTH take the time to rest and do self-care - and I mean mentally as well as physically. The worry will have taken it out of you. xx
Glad you’re on the mend.
Hi Colin & Shaun...I 100% agree the doctors, nurses and all staff working for the NHS are absolutely wonderful/fabulous. I am still recovering from my spine operation and I can't fault the care I am getting.
Great that Colin's kidney stone removal been a success and back to full fitness..👍
Just happy you are safe and now not in pain. Thinking of you both and 100% NHS deserve more funding
Good to see you back on line. Sorry hear your troubles but I hope you’ll be fine now
Legs firmly crossed for parts of the video, but so happy it's finally taken care of!!
Oh you poor sweetie pies, and I say both of you, because when one in a couple is hurting the other one hurts right along too. Praise the Lord and happy dance that you have gotten relief. We hope and pray all goes well from now on. Looking forward to your new adventures, Gloria 🐂
Great stuff lads nice to no your both ok see ya Friday 👍
I’m so relieved to see you both.
I used to work international sales for the USA company that made the stents, catheters and other such devices. They taught us to practice the procedures so we could answer questions for our UK counterparts. I have been cringing with you for 10 minutes. 😅
Lovely to have you back 🙂 Really glad to hear the stone is now dust! Take care and love to you all ❤️
I spent the whole of the video squirming and wincing. I've had 3 kidney stone episodes and it's bringing back memories. all the best to you
Welcome to the club. I had 3 quacks tell me it was stress from my job. Then the next doc, after a few question, said I was starting my own personal gravel pit, a sonar scan later and they were scheduling a gallblatter yanking for me. No real problems since though. Hope it behaves itself in the future.
You have my complete sympathy and understanding. I, too, enjoyed a 6mm kidney stone this year. Mine required 2 surgeries and the stent, too. So I completly sympathize with the sensation of the little wire being pulled.
The amusing (?) part of my case was that I had just purchased a pearl necklace (be nice!!) for my wife and seeing that FIVE millimeter boulder in front of me was a constant reminder of what was yet to pass. Doctor said without surgery, urine for a world of pain. He said he learned the procedure on a Dic Doc video.
I nearly spat my drink out.. “give it a slap and a flick” 😂😂😂 nice to see you back.
Disco stick 🤣🤣🤣 So good to see you! Thanks for the update 🧡🧡🧡
Glad to have you back and your kidneys are recovered. Having had the same procedure, with similar reaction to the stent, you have my wholehearted sympathy.
Glad to see Colin looking and sounding so well. You must be both so relieved. Looking forward to the forthcoming videos. Take care. 👏👏👍😀
So glad for the update, take care of each other.
Glad you're so much better now, Colin! Gute Besserung and get back to your optimal health soon!
It's good to see you Colin, and you too Shawn, glad everything has resolved. I really like the way you stood up for the NHS and expressed your support for the personnel who treated you.
Chuck
Glad you feel better, good to have you back
Sorry you've had such an awful time, but I'm glad your well now and feeling a lot better!❤️
I am so, so, SO relieved to know it's all sorted. Kidney stones are the WORST kind of pain. You're in pain, but you're also dreading the pain of it potentially passing, but at the same time you just want to get it over with, but then if it's not moving it's off to emergency, and ... yeah. I am genuinely, physically and mentally relieved at the end of the video. I know Colin must be feeling so, so much better and appreciating what it feels like to be "normal" again. As they say... if you never get sick, you can't appreciate wellness. Or some mumbo jumbo like that.
Many thanks for sharing this. I admit I was worried but equal relief that you are well. Stressful for both of you.
That disco stick ... Give "it" a 'slap' ... a 'flick' ... lol 😂!!! The telling of your tail of woe at times was so damn funny! (although at the time all of it was happening to you I'm sure it wasn't funny at all) ... Sorry you had to experience such discomfort at times but soooo glad you survived it all and your back with us for more wonderful adventures! 👍🤗💞
So glad you are feeling so much better. Your description of the procedure made me laugh out loud. Thank you, I needed that today. Take care, looking forward to the next video. 😁
I'm just happy you're okay. It's always nice to see you two and have a visit. You're two of my favourite people and Otis is nearly a people too. Love ya. Stay safe and healthy. Big hugs.
Soo glad to hear you are all fixed, am looking forward to your ‘every Friday ‘ vlog 😂
So glad your are well, I wondered where you where. Looking forward to getting back to my Friday fix of Foxes Afloat. Take care.
My mother was a hospital charge nurse (in charge of multiple wards). She and her staff kept a tablespoon in the freezer for (ahem) “unexpected uprisings.” Like Mary Poppins, just one spoon helped everything go down!
Absolutely enjoyed the tale of your "floppy and the fishing line". I was rolling on the floor. Why? Because I can call that card and raise you. 🤣
Try having it crushed … it's a long story.
Glad to see that you're on the mend Colin, look forward to your usual excellent videos and updates on the train barn. Look after yourselves.
Now now, remember "it's all in your head". Imagination of the year award right here I say 😉.
So glad that the NHS took care of you Colin, take care of each other, and hope life will be back to normal and a new beginning.
Colin I couldn't stop wincing all the way through, good to see you getting back to your old self & I sure it's a relief for Shaun. 👍😁
Glad to see your all back and here's to hoping that is done. Very Glad.
That was a superb "no holes wire blocked" explanation of that procedure.
Oh my goodness. When you started with the wire and it being pulled out, that tubing looked massive. Just slap it made me laugh along with the descriptions of your ward mates. Happy you are back at it and hopefully no more painful episodes.
Whewee!!! What an excruciating experience you have been through, Colin, and such a worry for Shaun. The relief must be amazing ☺️🎏
Glad you’re on the mend Colin, hi Shaun & Otis 🐶
I think I read about this. Correct me if I’m wrong. But didn’t NASA eventually launch a satellite to crash into the stone, to make it move? I’m sure it was this. I saw them all cheering on the telly, and I said to myself, “That’ll please him. He’ll feel a lot better after that.” So I’m glad it went well and good to see you back. 😉😆
Oh that sounds like an ordeal I was full of sympathy until the kink joke. I had just taken a sip of tea and laughed so hard I sprayed tea all over my keyboard. Glad you are ok now 👍
Glad you’re feeling better now. I went thru something almost exactly like this. My stone ended up tearing my Ureter at the entrance to my bladder. They had to cut me open, 6 inch scar vertically at the belt line, cut the ureter, sew closed my bladder, create a new opening and attach the new ending of the ureter. I was down for the count for quite awhile. I’m thankful for having one of the best urologists in the area. It’s been 15 years and no problems! 👍 Take care.
What a star you are for sharing this, even the personal bits. Having never missed a single Vlog since the building of Silver Fox it's great to see you on the mend now. Rest assured, we'll be tuning in on Friday as usual. Love to you both, Dave and Sophie xx
Glad you are all well again Colin and Shaun is there looking after you x
Laughter is the best medicine along with “Give it a slap” 😆 You are both a joy to watch. 🍁
You should never have to apologize for looking after yourselves. Glad you’re feeling better Colin. Tough going for you as well, Shawn. Stay well
So hi! My name is Leeann, I’m

I'm glad you're feeling better.
So very happy you are out of pain! Cant believe how many bumps in the road you encountered over the last two months, unreal. Big hugs from the states💓
