I had no idea the stone walls faced a lot of smaller rocks that make the centre. I can understand how interesting and fun it was to rebuild the wall. Truthfully I'd wondered if you had to 'lock up the chickens' due to the lockdown for avian illnesses. Is the illness bother you because you're in a major migratory route? How could people not subscribe to you two? Love you.
All repaired and no screws or bolts left, respect!
Who doesn't like a nice clean hole. I was laughing like a fool at outakes. Honestly, a good laugh like that is the best medicine.
Thanks oxo
Hats off to you Colin, what a cracking job you made of that wall, I eagerly await a report on your other bulge. 👍
You can't beat a good laugh , 🤣🤣🤣 best medicine on the planet .
WOW WOW WOW BRILLIANT JOB COLLIN. I understand "Over Thinking" Reconstructing a Drystone fence is almost better than a dry clean hole. LOLOLOLOLOL
I always wait for the out-takes.... You can't say that!!!! Infectious laughter, it is....😆😄😆😄😆😄
I’ve been looking all my life for two decent sized bulges. A line well delivered and received! Everyday is a school day. Hoping our plans to move to the country next year come off. I certainly will build a wall, fence etc… Keep the love coming…
Clea hole outtakes was hilarious. Laughed till I peed, then laughed at that.
Very enjoyable you two. Always good to see you both and how you're taking well to your new life and sharing it with your followers. You're so much fun and educational also. How good it would be to meet you but it is unlikely to happen. Living on the Jurassic Coast we see many, many fossils Maureen and I. Unfortunately we are close to being fossils ourselves!!! I look forward to your next vlog and hopefully read how you intend to finance your railway??? We would love to have our names on it somewhere. 🤗🤗😘🚂
Definitely understand the overthinking thing. If overthinking was an Olympic sport I'd win gold every time
Poor Henrietta shouldn't have crossed the road . Well done on the wall it looks great .
Fantastic job Colin. Thank you for the laughs, the outtakes were brilliant 😂
You two are the kings of the dirty Dad joke 👍
*Queens 😉🤣
@@FoxesAfloat Bwahahahah! *snort*
😂😂😂😂😂
I agree with overthinking. My anxiety has been really high this week leading to lots of overthinking. Thank you for letting me know that I am not the only one.
Wow the stone wall looks fantastic Colin. And Shaun laughing is so mucky. Hugs for Otis. 🦴❤️❤️
Great job Colin, drystone walling is an art.
By the way, what a stunning view you have at dawn, wonderful sunrise!!
Colin I’m really impressed with the job you done on the dry stone wall. I wasn’t expecting it to be quite that good, amazing mate 👍
We have a German dry stone wall in the garden about 20 m long ourselves - just one row of stones without inner workings. And every 12 years the garden soil pushes out a bulge (hehe, giggle) and we need a specialist to put it back on. It's an old man - and he's the only one in the region who can do it. And what I see from you, Colin: great work! Really - you did a perfect work! (You can compete here tomorrow... then we have a middle-aged young bulge specialist here in the region (Heidelberg), with or without a bulge giggle giggle giggle....
Fossils look like they could be scallop shells.
Both my grandfather and great grandfather were drystone wall builders. I think for a first attempt they would've been pretty impressed! What happens next is you'll spot all the really dodgy repairs in every wall you pass on your travels lol!
Also, I will probably be cursing you tomorrow when I'm suffering from the pulled stomach muscles I just gained from the outtakes! :D
I love when laughter is contagious! I cracked up at every outtake. Great job on the wall.
Wall Done, I mean well done and the "hole is clean" LOL
That wall looks absolutely great. Well done.
Well, go you Colin!! dry stone dyking is a skill you learn over many years. (I know a dry stone dyker) and you have done a first class job there in no time at all!! the outtakes were epic!! lol
It's a miracle you two get anything filmed other than laughter... :) but now we know the secret of your marriage :)
Amazing job on the stone wall...so impressed!
An amazing job Colin. Must have taken you ages but looks great. You two laughing is infectious I had to join in. Hope the chickens stay safe.
Best outtakes yet 😂
Fellas! I could do with a "giggle track". It makes me so happy to hear your laughter 😊
Totally agree and a brilliant idea x
Absolutely fantastic repair and coming with so much laughter, cannot be beaten - thank you both for a very much needed laugh, after a day spent dealing with the woes of West Yorkshire 😢x Otis cuddles also included xx handsome boy xx
I think Shaun has a great laugh and a dirty mind, your doing a great job lads of keeping everyone amused.
Shaun you had me laughing in the end. 😂😂
The outtakes were pure infectious laughter gold. It's amazing you guys pulled yourself together to complete the vlog.
Great job on the wall, loved the outtakes😂 😂 😂
'Nice clean hole'
Hmm, someone was getting stuck with that passage.
You two always make me laugh, the jokes, laughter and the little innuendos, love you both from Wales🏴!!
What a brilliant job, your both so talented.
Brilliant job on the wall Colin - I understand its like a big (heavy) 3-D jigsaw puzzle
Lads, when you started laughing and couldn't stop, I was just the same. It's infectious! My belly is all over the place now! Good laugh though.
Amazing job Colin. When I visit the UK countryside, I’m always amazed by the thousands of miles of stone walls. The amount of work that was done is staggering.
Hi guys, how do you manage to do any work ?. you are always laughing and so full of fun. I must say that the wall looks great for a first attempt. and when the new chicken run is finished they will be "lost" in Scotland some where. Well done. Love watching you two
Take care 🤣 🐓🐔🐝
Shaun chortling like an old Lister, had me in bits! So glad you cleaned that hole before filling it with your stones 🙃🤣
Very well done Colin the wall looked great . Keep laughing Shaun it makes us all laugh and feel great again xx
Love the outtakes. The wall looks awesome! I’m always happier after your videos:)
Well done for tackling that. Building dry stane dykes is an art form and it looks like you did a cracking job!
And all that talk of bulges and holes has made me chuckle! 😂
Please can you put all them outtakes together lads so funny great stuff happy days 🎄🎄🎄
Congrats on the wall, Colin, the King would be proud of you. He did dry-stone walling when he was young and apparently found it a very intricate and interesting skill.
Amen to all the other comments, too. xx
Wow, great job on that wall. Bet the chickens will really enjoy the bigger enclosure.
Thank you both I love your laughter it's really infections, so positive. Love you both and Otis
Guys yous just made my day 😂😂😂 outtakes hilarious and the well done with the wall Colin 👍🙂♥️🏴
Thank you for the laughs 😀 I love your vlogs! You two are just magic - please don’t ever change ❤️
You are bloody brilliant, I'm laughing my head off at your outtakes...that snort!! Why do we do that? Lol.
Stone wall looks fantastic x
I had a Friend who was a poet but really loved doing dry stone walls. He claimed it was very theropudic mentally. Not so physically..
I think dry stone walls are beautiful including your repair work
It's always a treat when you two get the giggles.
Bravo!!! Colin nice job! the wall looks perfect and beautiful, but physically - wow - the larger stones really must have been heavy 👍💪👏👏👏
Very impressive, one of ours fell down, I did as you did and set everything out. Was looking like a long job.....then I got lucky a retired farmer who's a member of the wife's gardening club popped round and said he'd do it. Bonus he did the bloody thing in an afternoon.
That's a grand job and at about £100/m get yourself in there and keep Shaun's cheese habit well funded.
Inuendo after inuendo 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good to see you lads having a good laugh
You did a great job on wall.
You done a good job on that wall mate we’ve got a dry stone wall part of that fell down two years ago and I had a go at repairing it but made a right pigs ear of it but it’s still standing.
sorry about your chicken I keep chickens it’s always crap when you loose one keep on smiling Lads 😊
Well done! Your work on the wall was quite impressive.
Fab job on the wall. It was interesting to see the inner workings of a dry stone wall. I didn't know about the small stones in the middle. Glad you are giving the girls a lot of extra room since they have to be contained for safety. Poor Henrietta... 😢
Thanks for the laugh and entertainment!
Hello boys and Otis another very funny vlog. Sean your a delight and Colin just looking at you and Sean is a pleasure. The wall was amazing very clever, another string to your bow. Have great week😊
Good job the pair of you
The wall looks great. You did a good job. 🙂
Good job on the wall! And good job on the vlog - especially the two minutes of “nice clean hole” outtakes 🤣. Only you two could turn those three words into full comedy routine 😂🎉❤.
Great job Colin the wall looks amazing 🤩. Love it that you’re giving the chickens more room to do their thing!! Funny outtakes especially Shaun who can’t stop laughing 😂
Nice wall Colin, and great haircuts 💇
Very nice job!! What an interesting video, I always admired the people who could build stone walls and make them look so good!
Superb job - and the giggling was a bonus! :D
Damn good job, dry stone walling is no easy task, but you seem to have mastered it!
Youns done a very good job on fence and wall. Take care and God bless. Watch out for dirty holes. Sorry about your chicken. Take care and God bless.
Agreed Colin. Used to assist my grandfather build dry “ stane “walls on the farm as a young lad. Loved it! It’s totally therapeutic.
Thank you for all of the good laughs on a Friday morning. Best start to a day in a long time. Great artistry on the wall Collin, better than original. Cheers!
Yes, your outtakes are longer & longer! However, we laugh more during the outtakes than ANY other vlog or TV show!!!!!
The wall looks fantastic. Well done Colin. Thank you for this video. I love the laughter.
Cracking Job Gromit (Colin) hope Wallace (Shaun) gave you a bit of that cheese. 🧀 Thanks for the Friday chuckles. 👍😂😍
Looks solid to me, in my professional opinion as a civil engineer.
Definitely subscribed only because I want the earliest possible notification when you two share your next adventure. Love you guys 💝💝
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
Colin, I am seriously impressed with the job you did building that wall! Looks great!
Looks brilliant repair. Can't beat making things with your hands to get satisfaction with your efforts.
Oh My God! You're Giggle Fits get me every time. If you did a vlog of just that, I would watch. 😂 Well done on the wall repair. Couldn't tell where it fell. Thanks for another joyful Friday morning.
You have done a top job with that dry stone wall, yes do that other bit when you have some sunshine, we have sunshine from early (6am til about 7:30pm) now summer is with us here in Perth (not that one near you)
Love the laughs so much. 🤣🤣
They say dry stone walling is very relaxing, but hard work and folks pay good money for dry stone walling lessons. You did a tidy job with yours Colin.
Sutherland has Jurassic age sandstones and the fossils you have there are bivalves, very similar to scallops and cockles that we have now. Probably 160-150 million years old.
Hi Guys, We are sorry to hear about the loss of your hen. Good job on the bigger chicken run and rebuilding the wall. We love to see the process of your projects. We put shade mesh or trellis panels over our run to protect against daytime predators like stray cats or birds of prey. They go into a strong coop at night to protect against nocturnal predators like skunks, mink, coons, and weasels. Best regards, Gloria
i love that wall. well done.
Isn't it wonderful to have a long time partner you can still giggle with? Thank you two for sharing your love of life and each other!
Wow, you have done an amazing job Colin, can't wait to see your extended chicken coop, take care my lovelys 😍😍💙💙🤪🤪
You did an amazing job. Also love that you give your chickens lots of space
Oh you should be proud as that repair will last another 100 or more years. You have achieved something I want to do, that is , to leave a lasting thing on this earth , for the good. All the best
You did a very good job of rebuilding your dry stone wall. Sorry about the loss of your chicken x
Shaun really got you going on the "nice clean hole"
😂
Great job. Nice to tackle a bulge isn’t it 😉. Lol. Great vlog. I seriously never knew there were stones inside it. Wow. No wonder they’re robust ! Have a great week guys. Best wishes.
Wonderful job on the wall 👍& I agree you should tackle the other bulge as well!
Excellent work Colin are you sure you haven't done this before!!
The fossils you have, in my opinion, are Scollops. Scallops are the family Pectinidae, marine bivalve molluscs. They first appeared about 230 million years ago in the Triassic period. You must have been under the sea where you live.
Guys, don’t ever stop laughing, it's what keeps you young and it gives us punters a good laugh as well, Shauns laugh is so infectious. As for a clean hole, I should hope it's always clean, things get a bit messy otherwise…
As for Shaun eating his cheese in the loo, surely the best place if it's one of the stinky varieties. Very good job on the wall Colin, it’s a real skill and you seem to have mastered it to perfection. Do the other bulge and save yourselves a fortune.
Another great video but miss your photographic input, all the same, another experience in hilarity, keep it up…
Best outtakes yet. Love you guys.
