OMG, Hobbes: "You don't get that long for murder. I must be due for paroral?" so dark and funny. Wilma, the wild beast, looks fabulous, Meg. Well done :)
She seems to be getting the hang of it all now! Once she stops being so green and gets more confident I think she's going to be a cracking little horse. Xx
An old trick to protect stud holes is pack them with cotton wool wiped round a vaseline tub. Quick and easy to pull out, tap and stud up, no grit or stones to remove. 😊
Tell Hobbit she is a star. We want her on more eventing VLOGs . Well done Wilma. Have you seen Horse Agility? It faces horses with tons of unexpected things. A bit unconventional but it may help her processing ability unmounted. There is a society that runs it. Also a good video!
What a lovely girl is Wilma!! She is going to blossom into an outstanding event horse. I can hardly wait to see how she transitions into the adult Wilma woo!! I will be just thrilled to watch that progress...
Being as old as I am, I really enjoy seeing Hobbit on these trips. Wilma's clearly more relaxed and confident overall, but needs to learn to self-calm (like so many toddlers!) (Not that she toddles.) She's lovely mover. I'm still a bit on the home-bred team, but Wilma is definitely moving forward.
Nice to see hobbit back she’s as funny as ever Meg lol. Wilma bless not her best day. She’s still got lots to learn but she’ll get there and she looks very well Meg. Let’s hope you feel better get a good tonic down you. Always a giggle with you guys tfs.🤗🏇🤗
Love this vlog! Such a great reminder that it's not always about winning, but often about the schooling process. You rode well and Wilma is looking fantastic. I love how you focus on her victories and she had many in this video. Great things to come!
Wilma is filling in so beautifully! When you got her she looked so much like my little off the track thoroughbred. Now, you can see that gorgeous chunky (in the best way) side!
You could try losing the grackle as there are lots of nerves on the nose which some horses just find too much - but the test was tidy as a whole she is coming along really well
If I recall correctly, the grakle is used for that very reason. It spreads the pressure out evenly unlike a flash or drop noseband. It's why Jammy was switched from a drop to a grakle. I could be wrong, bur that is my understanding.
Get well soon Meg🤗 Wilma looks so beautiful. It's early days in her career - but she has everything there to become a fantastic eventer. It's a pleasure witnessing her journey. A shout out to Team Elphick - great to see Hobbit back on the road❤ Looking forward to seeing what's next🫶
So impressed with her test 🥹🥹 she looks like a different horse to the little weed that arrived from Ireland! Could watch her all day. What an amazing educational day for her and you are giving her the very best start to her exciting career ahead! ❤️❤️❤️ P.s the ground 😳😳😳😳
There's so much potential in Wilma, she's going to be absolutely brilliant. really looking forward to seeing her progress over the years. I reckon with there sudden brain freeze is when her brain switches to TB?! :)
So nice to see you and Wilma getting better and better together. I love her, and I was a little afraid you had decided you weren't fussy about her. lol. You're going to be a busy lady in the next 10 years. lol
Wilma seems like a lovely and capable horse! It's obvious how hard you've both been working. As an armchair judge, I really got the impression that this was just " one of those rides". Wilma looked to be really trying for you, but just a bit fussy and like she couldn't quite settle herself in. And as you said, you knew you were late on the downward transition at the center line, and were quite self aware about your own performance. I imagine you were working and thinking hard and struggling to find the sweet spot in your ride too. I think you're absolutely right to focus on the positives of this test and shake off the rest. Every one of us has countless rides that go just like this. You already know a flub here and there is not a full representation of our own riding ability or the ability of our horse. Can't wait to see the next one!
That was a really good event, you can see Whinny trying to work things out with her sweet face in slow motion, I still think she is going to shine, she just needs to work things out slowly. Hobbit please keep coming to events, you know you love them really, and someone needs to give Meg grief lol 😂xx
Meg you inspire me so much. I just started my RUclips channel about my dogs and horse, i also make edits and it’s going slow but you motivate me to keep going.
Good luck with all you do, wilma's coming on so well meg .Pete I've just come back from Cornwall ,AND I brort pastes back from k&d mcfadden&son's in st just Cornwall .And we went to the farmers market on saturday. We all so had lun ch in the dog&rabbit cafe ,in st just not fare from the post office .Take care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
brilliant vlog, Hobs really is a legend! Wilma did so so well and even with the ground being so turned up. such a wonderful horse! I've got a feeling the exciting news might be plans for a novice/1 * on Jam?
Meg!! I’m pretty sure on wilmas saddle your stirrups r on the wrong side as the tread is pointing down to the front rather than the back encouraging your foot to tip to the floor rather than heels down if ya get what I mean, basically the actual stirrup needs to be switched to the other side!! Love the video ❤
Glad you’re feeling better. Try to bring a hot thermos of drinks for the way home-that will warm you up. Plus, keep a dry & warm change of clothing & shoes in your van & extra blanket up front in case you are chilled. Blessings from 🇺🇸
You and your mum make me laugh 😅 I hope she did turn the heating up? Wilma looks great and did ever so well. She is going to be a super horse and enjoying seeing her confidence growing ❤
Dressage looked very promising, and a nice change to have lots of comments from the judge. Jumping fine too, good progress. Great to have Hobbit on board!
Wilma is so classy and such a pretty mover. In time, all the little bugs will be worked out, and then she will really come on! You will be crushing it together. I really like that mare. 💯
I paused the vlog after dressage. I would say 29 until last movement. She was so improved on her last test. Brilliant. Next: showjumping. That was a hard call. She neither stopped or 19:56 circled but just went off line. Tricky decision. Next; cross country. Nothing to report, a clear🎉🎉 🎉
I'm with you! Banana bums are a no-go haha. I have the same issue with my ex-racer for the halt. I agree with you the side of Wilma where she just loses her brain is the TB in her haha
She's just *getting* it mum..whats all these odd things you want..why am I going in circles..can't I just run n jump ??😂..early days and every day out is so beneficial ❤❤
Hobbit so good to see you back missed the laughs but you are naughty that poor suffering sick Victorian Child is suffering 😂lots to love with Wilma the dressage was excellent SJ & XC we’re great except for the couple of baby moments that are to be expected. 👍🤩🤩
Hi Meg You and Wilma did great, shame about her getting spicy in the dressage but at least it was at the end. I think I have an idea about the announcement, as I did enter myself this year but haven’t heard back from them yet. That’s a hint without giving it away. Missed you again at Solihull with Han the other day. Honestly it’s like a second home to me but always seem to miss the most important days and getting a chance to meet yourself and others I follow. Anyway hope you get better soon xx hope the sad news isn’t to bad. (Arrie)?
oh wow Wilma's coat has gotten so much more vibrant!!
OMG, Hobbes: "You don't get that long for murder. I must be due for paroral?" so dark and funny. Wilma, the wild beast, looks fabulous, Meg. Well done :)
^parole
"shes not going to go anywhere" *proceeds to cut to Wilma when she ran away*
She seems to be getting the hang of it all now! Once she stops being so green and gets more confident I think she's going to be a cracking little horse. Xx
Welcome back Hobbit, it isn't the same without you.
An old trick to protect stud holes is pack them with cotton wool wiped round a vaseline tub. Quick and easy to pull out, tap and stud up, no grit or stones to remove. 😊
I do that with Vaseline and then I pack shavings in. I don’t mind cleaning shaving out but I hate the grit! I’ll have to try the cotton!
@@CaitlynGraham-po4ef Just buy a pack of cotton wool balls and break bits off. 😁
Hobs is so frigging hilarious 😅
Wilma looks beautiful, she is so well turned out, well done for bringing her on so patiently x
Wilma is a smart little horse. Reckon she will go far with you. Well done all 🐴❤

Omg Wilma looks amazing your doing such a great job with her she looks like a different horse 😍
Wilma looks absolutely stunning 😍

So glad to see Hobs! ❤ You and Willma are looking smart! She has come a long way Meg. ❤

Great, positive day for Wilma 🐎👏 good to see Hobbit out and about with you guys again. 💜
Your mum is so funny, love the videos when she is in them. Wilma did well, she is still maturing. Good things to come.

Wilma looks gorgeous, so shiny! Good work, team Elphick.
Love the partnership you and Wilma are developing. She’s such a gorgeous mare.
Great practice for Wilma! She is such a beautiful mare with tons of potential! ❤

P.s the ground 😳😳😳😳
Oh Wilma is so beautiful. Her coat is gleaming in the sunshine, and I love, love, love her dapple bay!!! 💗
There's so much potential in Wilma, she's going to be absolutely brilliant. really looking forward to seeing her progress over the years.

So much to like. She’s coming along really well. Well done 👏
Great event. The score on paper was not a reflection of Wilmas talent. She did brilliantly. ❤
I'm so proud of your progress together - you will make a great team in the future! x
Yay Pete’s eats is back!! 🎉
Wilma is something else. Love her.
Well done Team Elphick! 🎉 A good day indeed. ❤ Wilma's coat is super shiny and glossy 😊 xOx

Oh my I didn't even recognise Wilma at first! 🎉
Watching your videos, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and I miss riding SO MUCH!!! So jealous haha

Wilma is made for cross country!! 🙌🏻♥️
Very gorgeous Wilma 🥰
Brilliant indeed Meg! Well done! Don't you think riding the dressage test in a dressage sadle would be easier for you?
You and your mum make me laugh 😅 I hope she did turn the heating up?
Wilma looks great and did ever so well. She is going to be a super horse and enjoying seeing her confidence growing ❤
Dressage looked very promising, and a nice change to have lots of comments from the judge.

It seems like it is time for another Rich dressage video! But really well done you two
Wilma looks absolutely gorgeous. And poor cold Meg needs some heat please Hobbit. :(
I’m with hobbit on the heating ! It’s an age thing 😂😂
She’s 100% getting the hang of it she’s just green once she’s confident in herself she will be wicked
I paused the vlog after dressage. I would say 29 until last movement. She was so improved on her last test. Brilliant.
Next: showjumping. That was a hard call. She neither stopped or 19:56 circled but just went off line. Tricky decision.

I saw my riding instructor behind you in this vid!!!
Wilma is looking beautiful
Well done Meg and beautiful Wilma. Turn the heat up Hobbit, for poorly damp Meg xx
I'm with you! Banana bums are a no-go haha. I have the same issue with my ex-racer for the halt. I agree with you the side of Wilma where she just loses her brain is the TB in her haha
Love it❤❤❤❤
Hobbes! Winter is coming...turn the heat up😳😂
She's just *getting* it mum..whats all these odd things you want..why am I going in circles..can't I just run n jump ??😂..early days and every day out is so beneficial ❤❤
aw ha! Can't wait!
Would it be possible to stop the music playing while you're riding? I turn the sound off now every time..
Or at least the volume could be decreased
Wilma looks gorgous 😍😮
I guessed 30.5 for dressage there was a little blip in the matrix show jumping was good going clear the cross country looked so good.
Hobbit so good to see you back missed the laughs but you are naughty that poor suffering sick Victorian Child is suffering 😂lots to love with Wilma the dressage was excellent SJ & XC we’re great except for the couple of baby moments that are to be expected. 👍🤩🤩
My Connie x Tb is literally exactly the same. Her mind gets blown very quickly if she doesn’t understand something
