The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

I'm so stunned and captivated by this performance.
It's so rare for Celine to do this kind of performance with that so High and so Low note and that kind of transition is so rare for her.
this just prove that Celine is The Greatest Of All Time alongside Whitney.

I love how she preserves her voice that's why she doesn't do a lot of stuffs in her singing but her voice always betray her and always do amazing stuffs.

You're kidding I guess... Have you ever heard Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong singing "Summertime" in 1959? They are in another planet... and not trying to make money on the back of Telethon to boost her album sales... She irritating and too much mannerd. "Summertime" is a simple song which requires a soulful simple interpretation.

Il existe entre 25.000 et 30.000 enregistrements de "Summertime" et on n'a pas attendu 2006 et le racolage honteux de Céline Dion pour le Téléthon pour booster ses ventes d'albums pour avoir une version définitive de ce titre.
Il est évident que Céline Dion sait chanter mais elle est toujours aussi agaçante avec son maniérisme indécrottable sur une chanson où la simplicité et l'émotion doivent primer sur des acrobaties vocales aussi inutiles qu'encombrantes.
Revenons aux fondamentaux du titre avec Ella & Louis en 1959: là on tient une des meilleures interprétations de ce duo magique.

pourquoi ne pas avoir zappé alors? vous vous êtes attardé sur sa version pour lancer tout ce négativisme? il y a aussi nous autres qui aimons bien ses maniérismes à elle. 1988 version she did way too much vocally and missed a lot of the key points of the song/ over sang and messed up the melody
