Video game collecting why do we do it....must be mad haha well said rodgy but like you said we love it and dare I see its in my blood as well :) One should only collect retro games though :D haha but that being said the good does outweigh the bad when it comes to collecting, I do it for sentimental reason, since its a memory I hold of my late brother may he rest in peace, but I try to collect games that we like or knew that he would like. Well said mate 👏. I used to try collecting everything! But then I released I'm never going to play it all, and though the shelves were looking cool I was running out of space. So I've focussed in on the C64 now. I'm slowing that down a bit, but I still keep my hand in.
We gotta enjoy the journey with collecting, it’s great to take the pressure off from feeling like you have to add games by the bag load…just cherry pick the odd title that means the most! The chase, the journey, the nostalgia is where it’s at for me. Shame about all these dodgy games, inlays etc. in circulation; not dissimilar from some retro toys where 3d printing sneaks some realistic items in. I’m on my hols shortly so will try to sort a VR. Cheers!
I hear you i've reached the point I know what I want and how much I want to pay for it dont get stressed anymore but I will admit collecting and hoarding walk the same line 😂 have so much packed away it's untrue and I found a game recently I forgot all about stored away. CEX rarely buy online with them anymore bumper both being caught out Ive been doing Video Game playing cards just lately sounds like me I collect for way too many systems and I need to wind it in a little or a lot lol I collect for 3 reasons because I can, I get a lot of enjoyment from discovering games I never even looked at and the last reason is its something for my kids when I am gone but room is the biggest collectors battle lol Nice one pal love looking at my collection on the shelves nicely done take care

I'm a weirdo, I play my games all the time, 40 to 50 hours a week minimum. I'll eventually get to VR this, hopefully if I can pull my controller from my hands 😂 I definitely don't think of games as an investment. I think about how much they cost me 😮 People who do fakes are just as vile as scalpers. Great stuff mate 😎👍

I’ve always said to get into collecting you need to have a focus and be disciplined. It’s easy to collect anything and everything, people get attracted to the bulk and are impressed by a shelf full of ‘stuff’. A curated collection I personally find more appealing than 1000s upon 1000s, those are the collectors who dive in hard but leave the hobby soon after.
Yeah definitely wise words. My collection habits certainly changed over the years, I soon realised I couldn’t have everything and so fine tuned the collection down, might still be a bit too ambitious tbh but, I’m happy with it. Your right there have been so many chuck mega money at the hobby, they drown, sell up and move on in most cases. I do agree a curated focussed collection is more epic to see. Cheers for watching 😉👍
The guy probably knew it was a repro and took you for a ride. Next time, just dispute it directly with eBay and request a full refund, product was sold under false pretence.

It’s taken me a few days to reply, had a moment when reading your comment…had a bit of a melt down, my lad now lives with his mother, her and I split a few months back and I miss him like mad understandably. It doesn't matter what you collect as long as you're happy doing it and it isn't causing you problems Would be dull if we all collected the same thing It's all about the Japanese for me but space is definitely an issue, it's more or less 1 in and 1 out for me now and just fine tuning the collection as I'm almost happy with it👍

Fair play, it’s each to their own…having multi carts or pi’s is definitely a great way to experience gaming and retro gaming without the negatives of having a huge collection…and to be honest, the emulation is almost perfect for so much of it. Cheers for watching 😉👍
