Love my PB Austin XL, the last time i had to take it apart from heavy rain, ( forgot to cover it) .. i got it back together and plugged it in, something wasn't right so i grabbed the internal plugs to make sure it was good.... lit my azz up. 100% my bad. UNPLUG it every time
Heres my problem with my PB 1250CS: the startup cycle is long. The igniter won’t start up until 15 minutes later. I have pellets even touching it. It only goes up to 110. 135 when the igniter is buried in pellets. Then eventually the temp goes down, and it’ll throw a ErL code. I have the burn pot cleaned, the airways open, grill probe clean, fan is working, and the auger feeds pellets like it should. I’m thinking it’s the igniter itself. Also, it was 0 degrees this morning when I tried it, but I’ve done that before so I’m not sure.
I found that the plastic plugs that the igniter plugs into are interior quality, I put in a new igniter and it still did not work, had to clean out the plugs with some polishing compound and a q tip, put some dilectric grease on them and all is well
Just bought my Austin XL this past weekend. It wouldn't lite. The igniter was never put into the ash pot! Was a quick fix, would have been quicker had I seen this! I did a video of the assembly, check it out.
They can be a pain if they have been on a while.. if you have already stripped the heads of the screws out you will have to drill them out.. I had to put the screw driver in mine and hit with a hammer to help break them loose a bit.
Dyin' Breed BBQ as soon as you power it up? I checked it with multi meter and have power on it but it never comes on. But the ignitor don’t either and it’s brand new. But just ordered a new fan and ignitor I’ll throw those in when they get here and try again
Great video. I have the same grill. I’ve tried to smoke a brisket twice on it and it has gone through a complete full box of pellets in 4 hrs on both of them. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. A light just went off though watching your video. If you are smoking, do you have to put it on smoke during the start up process? That could be my problem. If not I don’t know. I need advice. Thanks
I'm having a problem with my igniter not working. I replaced it with brand new igniter and it worked for maybe 5 minutes. Then stopped working. Turned it off cleaned all out. Restarted and feeds correctly but no heat in the igniter. Anyone else have this problem and figure it out?

Thx bud! I really appreciate this video. I bought it a week ago. Been cooking all week. Now today it keeps tripping.
Are plugged directly in outlet, if not and useing ext cord make sure the cord is heavy enough. Also the outlet could be bad .

Thanks for the info! Exact grill, less than 2 weeks old and Doing the same thing. Very informative.
Sorry you are having issues with the grill. But I’m glad this video helped!

That hard beer belly is legend.
How do you get the blasted screws off the bottom of control panel? We've used pb blaster and still won't budge

I don't really drink beer but the next youtube video I make I am going to hold a miller lite throughout the video in your honor.
Gotta love the "muricans, ........we'll just go ahead and drink this beer real quick and see if something electrical starts on fire. LOL
Just got one of these because it didn’t work. Does the induction fan come on as soon as you power it up or only after it heats to temperature?
The fan should kick on.

@@bradleybridges9722 did you get it fixed
Great job
I saw your grease bucket liner, where did you buy it? I want a good quality bucket and liner too!
You can pick them up at Walmart or Lowe’s. Make for easy cleanup
@@dyinbreedbbq7758 Oh yeah, I saw that. I'll go try to buy one, thanks
I just replaced my igniter and its still not working. What else should I check next
That was a good video, and now I can fix mine. It's been down for months, and I really miss it. Thanks brother, God bless.
Screw the ignighter. My burned out so just put a little lighter fluid and pellets in burn box and away we go.

It was tripping breaker or GFCI?
GFCI
What happens when you replace the igniter and the new one goes bad after one use?

Did you double check that the igniter didn’t push back in the burn pot?
Mine isn’t feeding pellets anymore
I had the same problem. I replaced my ignitor and now it runs for about 5 min and shuts off??? Has anyone else had this problem?
You still smoking on that beauty?
Been 3 years and still going strong.. I own 7 bosses, but this is still my workhorse
buy a wood grill, or gas, much better. IDK. No GFI or anything.
My Lone Star Grillz offset will NEVER have this problem.
