At 1:37:17 how much did you fold that by? Trying to follow along it’s been good so far by the way

I am a beginner sewing student.
I enjoyed watching the denim sewing tutorial.
First, we wash and iron the fabric, then we cut the fabric.
I like to learn a new method
What method is used to draw Ego Jin?

Did you adjust any seam allowance when cutting the pattern to account for the selvage? It was awesome to watch, thank you for including the full process

No, my pattern accounts for the selvedge being exposed

Did you use any guides or measurements when doing your flat felled seams? I'm having trouble sewing them to be consistent; I not sure exactly how I should line up the pieces when attaching them and how much to fold for the flat felled.

overlap them approximately 3/8"(1cm) you dont have to measure just eyeball it. top layer on top. fold over where each layer edge ends. when you are sewing the top stitching, sew the row closest to the edge first, the important part is to watch the seam not the needle. pick a spot on the presser foot and just make sure your seam is always lined up with that spot, or you can use a foot with a guide. my presser foot is 1/2" wide so i know if i line the edge up with my first row of stitches my second row will be 1/4" away. again watching the stiches on the edge of the foot not the needle. make some practice pieces until you figure out you technique.

@@retroreason Why is the seam allowance 5/8” on most flat felled seams? When you’re felling a 3/8” seam, wouldn’t it be 6/8” (3/4”)?

@@retroreasonCurrently using your method with your pattern and it’s working great, thanks. One more question I have, what’s the purpose of this diagonal stitch on only one side of the placket? 3:22:42
