Some people could. There is an american steamstress that her kids call, their dress shirts the one hour shirts! LOL. From thre start of laying oit asnd cutting to putting on the buttons--1 hour!
I was considering making my own jeans to save on money but seeing how much work goes into them, I'll leave it to the professionals. I have so much more respect for steamsters.
I’m makin mine because I hate the new “ankle-length” trend that is everywhere. I can’t find women’s pants that aren’t ankle length. I already have a machine and a serger so why the hell not
@@icegoddess1308 Totally agree! Been making my own jeans for many years and every pair is different from another. Various colours, pocket style, pocket embroidery, width, cuff etc. They are not difficult, but are time consuming due to all the topstitching.
WOW! I know, it's been a couple years already but that was perty darned impressive. I've been sewing as a hobbyist for over 30 years. I'm on my machines 10 - 12 times a week and jeans are still a bit frightening. After watching you whip out a pair of jeans any designer label would be hard pressed to do replicate. Not to mention they would retail for upwards of $400 to $600. I am inspired to clone my favorite jeans. Thanks for the inspiration and again, wow....WOW....Wow!
Even if he purchased the denim farbric from Cone Mills, i still dont think theyre worth more than $100. Try Bravestar salvage; handmade in america from imported denim. Now those are $300 jeans for cheap
You earned a subscriber. I’m actually trying to start making my own cloths, I want all natural fiber everything I.e cotton flax hemp silk wool etc and buying is super expensive, I don’t know anything about this skill, but I know even if fabric is t cheap, it’s still cheaper and better for me, also I have a family of 8 and on top of farming, gun making/repairing, cooking, herbal medicine making and parenting, I’d like this skill to learn to teach to my wife and children so we can be self sufficient
I'm amazed at how much work actually goes in to one single pair of jeans! It was very interesting to see the whole process and all the tools and machines that are involved. I am interested in seeing the same process for the jeans with super thick stitching, embroidery and rhinestones such as the Miss Me jeans. Thanks so much for the video. Your sewing skills are excellent!
Hi, my nam is Lou. Wow, I am Swiss and I find it amazing that you make your jeans yourself. America is truly the birthplace of jeans. Well done, that's great. Hats off how we say back home. it will translate into congratulation. Thank you for your demonstration
Really liked the video and the amount of obvious dedication you applied while working, very inspirational 😁 The sound of the sewing machines made me miss my sewing classes
This is amazing and why I love sewing and thrifting. So much effort into handmade clothing and breaks my heart to see a hand knitted sweater abandoned!
thumbs up...sewing jeans is also my father's trade...this video takes me back when i was a kid,we used to have a jeans shop and i grew up watching them build a good pair of jeans from scratch,i also have the opportunity to learn sewing...thanks for this video...
This is so well done and has so much detail, so satisfying to see it all come together, well done. :) (Was trying to find a pattern for jeans when I found this!)
You went through the entire project without having to pause and think about anything. When you finished, the project came out perfect. All of the machinery you used seemed to be set up and tuned perfectly. Judging from your high skill level and the high quality professional equipment you are using, one would have to think that this isn't the first time you have done this. david
I accidentally came across this video and thankfully just prior to me sewing some denim jeans. Such a beautiful finish and the topping on the cake was the handmade leather label. Beautiful.
I was so impressed by your craftsmanship! Your double stitch lines were so even. I loved your different workspace set ups, is that a forge in the corner of you outdoor workshop? Well done thanks for sharing!
Wuauuuu!!! Que bien te ha quedado, se ve que eres muy inteligente y dedicado, con vídeos así uno aprende un poco cada día, te felicito, ya me he suscrito 😉
Great video! I actually really like that you just show without explaining. I think one can learn a lot by observing someone with experience, and from the practice of observing without guidance. Thanks for sharing.
I think it was really funny how he made his own brand of jeans, copying Levi’s. Photo shoot and all 😂 really cool video to watch despite not being a step by step tutorial
Great video and I respect your skill and craftmanship. Pardon my curiosity but what do those numbers on the leather waist label signify? Just asking because I saw another jeans maker put a similar notation on the inside of the pocket fabric. Thanks!
Very nice lightweight jeans. The cut is baggy and unflattering, but the work is high quality. They look much better with the white t-shirt instead of with the women’s striped maternity shirt. The craftsmanship was exceptional
I hope U have tried. As to me I did it many times. The most challenging thing is sewing macine and some nuances. If U need any help, patterns and stuff like this, don't hesitate to contact me. Best regards.
Great video. Now, I'm thinking of making a pair of denim jeans, too. Is there any chance you might make a step by step instructional video, for those of us that aspire to be more self sufficient, like you?
Very nice! I have a softened and absolutely perfect pair of 2006 guy-jeans that need a flexible waistband due to a recent medical condition that makes my waist vary from 26-30 every week or so. I never know if they are going to be too big or too small - very annoying. I need a flexible denim band with belt loops. How difficult is it to DIY? Do you do this kind of custom work on existing products?
Great job on the accuracy of the jeans. That back waist yoke is something that I don't see in a lot of pants patterns or jeans patterns for that matter. You should pair up with Laura Kampf!! She is doing more sewing projects and I'm sure would love to make a pair of jeans!
Nice Job!! Well done, Only one thing you need to overlook every piece of denim before you stitch the panels together. If you don't do that after a wash it will fray.
wow, richtig krass! bin schwer beeindruckt!
Laura Kampf danke frau kampf für das feedback! die schwarzen jeans kommen ev. nächstens in die kollektion😉
Praise from Laura Kampf!

@@jasonsdodd mmmmm
I like to think he never does laundry, and just makes a new pair of jeans every day

Hahahahahaha that's funny!

LOL

You mean ”seamster”, from Old English seamestre "sewer, tailor, person whose work is sewing".
I will do one for fun tho.. I just started practicing to sew, and it was a great satisfaction and achievement when i finnished a whole pants..
I’m makin mine because I hate the new “ankle-length” trend that is everywhere. I can’t find women’s pants that aren’t ankle length. I already have a machine and a serger so why the hell not
The purpose of this video _is_ to discourage you from making your own.
@@icegoddess1308 Totally agree! Been making my own jeans for many years and every pair is different from another. Various colours, pocket style, pocket embroidery, width, cuff etc. They are not difficult, but are time consuming due to all the topstitching.
This video is edited as if it's a suspenseful part before a jump scare in a horror movie. I love it!

They look great. I cant believe how much work goes into making a pair of jeans.
+Doorkicker505 thank you😊
Interesting but disappointed somewhat. Thought it was going to be a tutorial not a diary. You can certainly sew though !
This is amazing and why I love sewing and thrifting. So much effort into handmade clothing and breaks my heart to see a hand knitted sweater abandoned!

Wow it would take me a month to make one pair. I admire the deligence.
What I love most is the part making your own label and riveter.

Man I so want a space I could set up and just design all day or when ever. Nice work sir.

I mostly love the denim but man Levi’s will forever be looked at as the blue prints to the swag good job 👏
Very cool project man, excellent work! I enjoyed it.
Humus Workshop thanke you✌️️
Amazing job!
Do you think it is possible to make jeans like yours using typical home sewing machine? (Singer 8280)
How would you hem stretch denim?
use a small zigzag stitch (a twin needle might break)
Fantastic. Does it require a specially strong sewing machine?
Great video. Now, I'm thinking of making a pair of denim jeans, too. Is there any chance you might make a step by step instructional video, for those of us that aspire to be more self sufficient, like you?
Very nice jeans i used to make baggy jeans for everyone around its a matter of pride for a man to be able to make his own jeans yes love the video

you're right. I forgot
