insightful session. if I want to do a presentation to explain the model, do I have to divide the model for each relationship to show the specific theory used in that relationship?
14:11 why no theory has selected for team outcome and organisational performance ? asper the theoretical model csr and op don't have any connection, but used resource based view theory is used to explains it relation?
I hold a different point of view on this. Not every relationship has to be explained in light of theory. Isn't literature, theoretical. The arguments were based on literature. So in essence they are from theory.
Perfect sir ...Is there any video of yours explaining different theories being used in Business research papers sir? ...Your method of teaching is remarkable and it will be very easy to understand theories for us if you can upload any...Thank you...Jazak Allah
Sir, in the first example above, you have applied 2 theories, how about the relationship between team outcomes and organizational performance? I mean do we need to give reference of another theory there?
If you want to you can, but it is not always possible to explain every relationship in kight of theory. This is the very reason you sometimes find no theory in a good paper as well. Theory could also refer to strong literature and solid arguments l. Explaining Why the study and relationships are worth studying l.
Sana, there are both opinions. Both have valid arguments. You can take one and follow it. Paper have been written and published in peer reviewed journals on both viewpoints. I personally like the complementary position.
As always, great explanation sir. However, I have a doubt. What I can make out from this video and some other videos is that first we should identify the gap in the research then we should look for a theory. when we club the constructs from the gap with the theory the result will be a conceptual model.
Thanks. I am glad you liked it. Both are methods that can be utilized to draft a new research model. You may focus on theory, and see what variables have been studied in context of that particular theory and see if any new variables can be added to the framework. Otherwise you can look for variables, and see if they fit a particular framework and the theory.
Very interesting lecture. One can got an ocean of knowledge. Thank you DR Sb for sharing such kind of knowledge.
